Good news! I watched Black Adam and it actually played the Mario movie trailer! Hearing this theme in an actual theater was such an experience I'll never forget for a while.
How they were able to make a mix of uplifting cinematic music combined with Mario’s actual theme is amazing and I could not imagine a better soundtrack. This is mind blowing 10/10! Love it.
This gives me so many early 2010 animated movie vibes, this is something they would show every time i went to theaters with my dad when I was young and I love it.
@@nicko2222 eh, i think for a fully voice acted 2 hour film they needed to stray a little bit from the regular italian voice, although yeah I do agree they strayed a bit too far Chris Pratt just sounds uncanny as Mario

Every movie trailer in the last 10 years sounds just like this. It’s becoming parody at this point. You don’t need to make EVERYTHING epic. A simple orchestral version of the theme would’ve worked fine imo
Meh i like it, i was always a sonic guy so I completely missed the boat and have randomly been REALLY into the staff roll from 3D world I’m REALLY hoping it makes it into the movie somehow But moreso at minimum that movie doesn’t forget the franchises ragtime, big band jazz roots and we get multiple songs like that in the OST My expectations for the movie are neutral but i do hope that movie’s ost leans towards stuff like galaxy, oddysey and 3D world (and maybe some mario 3) Idk, i just think i really love big band arrangements in general, it’s ironically a perfect fit for a mario movie setting and i hope whoever was in charge saw it.
I remember my first reaction to seeing the first ever trailer for this movie and how impatient I was to see it in theaters. Coming back to this just makes me remember how fast time really is. I also remember how pissed I was after hearing the original release date December 2022 was gonna be delayed. But the delay was definitely worth it because I smiled at every second of this movie.
I loved it when Mario marioed over Bowser in the ending while Luigi luiged the koopa guards holding Peach hostage. Truly it was a video game movie of time!
@@Dalton_Boardman2000 When did I say it was illegal? I only said I have seen this exact same meme many times all over RUclips and it's not able to make me laugh anymore.
They should also make more Mario sequels as well so we can see what’s the next character is going be Daisy rosalina waluigi wario diddy kong funky kong toadette Pauline or yoshi toadsworth
Honestly well i have heard it sound like this time and time again i like the way this movie trailer did it honestly and this is the first Mario movie we have gotten in over 25 years.
From the creators of Despicable Me, The Secret Life of Pets and Sing. Universal Pictures and Illumination presents, a Nintendo company. This is no game, it's a movie! The Super Mario Bros. Movie. In theaters soon, 4/7/2023.
Picture this. Bowser attempts to escape, and it's a very rainy evening. Mario pulls up his Kart, chases him through the downtown streets of a New York style city, and it ends with Bowser's car flipping upside down after he is rear ended. 0:21 plays as the Red Hatted Hero approaches his vehicle with the flames behind him, and the downpour adding a tone of seriousness.
I like the game motiffs but i really feel like the logic they went with is was 'let's make the most generic epic movie version of an iconic theme" The final drums are so forced that i feel like just wanted to sound like a Marvel trailer for no reason
the musicians really went out of their way to make this theme nostalgic and new at the same time, the constant level 1 motif, the high notes, really settles the more nostalgic feel
Cynics: "this thing sucks as art, and everyone who disagrees is a sheeperson." Another group: "this is great and everyone else is wrong" Most people: "I like the music, but wouldnt be balling over basic marketing."
I don't really like what they showed for the soundtrack. It isn't unique and just sounds like stereotypical cinematic music rather than the god tier koji kondo compositions.
But then again, Nintendo can’t exactly make a trailer. They’ve been shown in the past to have next to no correlation with the actual quality of the product.
To be fair it’s god damn Mario, one of the biggest icons in modern history, I’d sure be compelled to give it the most obnoxiously epic theme of all time
Ngl thought this was dumb and played out. They did this in Ghostbusters, they did this in Jurassic World, they did this in Star Wars, they do this... every single time. I actually thought it was better off playing the 8-bit music. It sucks because this is the first film I rolled my eyes in when they did something like this. It's not cinematic. It's tacky. I'm so sorry if I sound negative, I just think Mario deserves better. C'mon Nintendo.
This gives me memories of going to the movie theater with my dad and watching the trailers that will always have this type of music
It’d be like a movie about like 2 blobs going across the street and they would have this music go DUM DUM DUN everytime they appear on screen
Especially with those booms and thuds. Yeah, they're recognizable
Good news! I watched Black Adam and it actually played the Mario movie trailer! Hearing this theme in an actual theater was such an experience I'll never forget for a while.
The fact that Koji Kondo (the Mario music composer) is part of this is going to be AWESOME! Me happy, bois!
If I am not wrong, Lorne Balfe will also compose this movie as well.
I bet the music is awfully good and epic!
I bet so too.
Koji Kondo is helping with the music so i have a lot of faith in that!
The music better be Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 tier
Almost sounds like something you would hear in an open world Mario game.

dude that wouldn’t been amazing but instead we got the generic dramatic movies trailer music filled with risers and dramatic ass timpani drums
