Never heard a performance like this. The two virtually melted into one. Much credit to the pianist whose curiously warm tender tone and endless line creates an supple enwrapping nest that holds the entire piece together which allows the violinist to be as free as he needed. Performance in the highest order.
Yes they work so well together. I was at college with Charles Owen and he was a great pianist then. Lovely to see he’s been playing with Hadelich, I’ve seen a few of their recordings together and they bring a new element to the repertoire which is an absolute joy.
Having heard both interpretations - one by L. Kavakos& D. Trifonov and this one with A. Hadelich&Charles Owen it is so hard to make any preference. Both are amazing, perfect in all regards... Thank you all 4 maestri for your great art!!! You are all amazing... Good luck for your future!!
Thank you so much Augustin and Charles too, I really really enjoyed watching you both play so beautifully and with such amazing passion and sensitivity too. You are a great team. The music 🎶 you make lifts my soul to another level. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
Mesmerizing playing. Wonderful sense of dynamics and genuinely pleasant to watch. The facial expressions Hadelich uses are neither distracting nor unnatural, unlike many other famous performers. One feels concentrated on the music and the feeling being put into it, seeing the performance as more of an auditory experience than a visual one. We truly need more instrumentalists like you, thank you for sharing your musical interpretations with us.
It’s called tremolo, but in forte, and it’s not harmful for the strings. At least not more harmful than many other strokes. That said, after a long time of intense playing one’s strings do wear out ;-) it’s key to replace them from time to time…
Then how did you like Richter in Tschaikowsky's Piano Trio? And remember how incompetent audio engineers RUINED Kissin's Rakh 2 by suppressing the piano?

@@steveegallo3384 確かにピアノの音は大きい
かも知れませんが、このピアノの名手はオーガスティンの最高のパートナーです。
В этой сонате скрипка и фортепиано -равноправные партнеры и звуковой баланс не нарушен.
