You hit the nail on the head explaining for which kind of bikers the Scout Rogue is intended for, because I'm one of them. I've rode bikes since I was a child, until about 10 years ago. Now, I'm 60, and want to get back into riding. I don't have any desires of high speed bike riding, because I've been there, and have done that, am only interested in cruising knowing that I have enough torque power to fast pass, and get out of the way of others if needed. Therefore, I'm strongly considering in buying a Scout Rogue.
You nailed it... It's more bike options for that class of bike. Scouts are probably their biggest sellers... offer more! Funny thing.. I was a skater in the 90's and got my bike license last year and wanted a Scout bobber. Keep up the great vids!
Your insight from being skaters from the 90s is dope as hell. I'm 26 and looking for my first back. At first I wanted a bobber but now Incant decide between that and the rogue. So your hypothesis is spot on! I think I can't go wrong either way
The Rogue is all allround factory custom really amazing bike👌🏻 i personally love the Bobber Twenty bit more because of the fat tires and spoke wheels. Indian is makeing fantastic bikes and they all ride amazing💪🏻
I ordered my Scout Rogue a couple days ago and you're right... i was going back and forth between the Twenty and the Bobber... and the Rogue was everything i wanted. They say 6 to 9 weeks to get it built. Can't wait.
The rogue looks good and makes me want a scout now. Wish it had the techy screen of the chief and cruise though. Biggest disappointment otherwise looks great.
They should at least make that an ad on. There may be people that don't want that. Gives more of a traditional Bobber look which is stripped down, however since they dropped the Bobber name this was a good chance to add that
Indian is trying to sell bikes. If people got a tech screen on a scout, nobody would buy a chief dark horse. The scout is probably going to stay stripped down as it's their entry level bike.
I really love the look of the rogue; if I bought a scout that's what I would make it look anyways. Factory ready to go, and just slap on an exhaust? Less work for me!
Unless they’re heated no gloves will keep your fingerTIPS warm. I have issues with how cold my hands can get but since I have a beemer that came with heated grips I’d say invest in those instead. Cause think about it you may be changing gloves every three months or six or whatever the case might be but the heated grips will save you money in the long run… In addition the help my whole body warm up too.
@@RickyBobber maybe 'bobber' is part of the description of the Rogue's intentions, I don't have the literature on it, but although it has the bobber fenders and blacked out styling, I don't see why it needs to considered a bobber really? Let it be it's own thing imo, it has it's own name, and suspension does seem to be a (literal) sore point of the Scout.
Technically "bobber" in not in the name with the Rogue. That way they can ad a quarter fairing and maybe other stuff down the road, as bobbers are traditionally stripped down to just necessities
I don't think it has been long enough since the Scout Bobber came out for a full redesign! Upgrades and extras was probably the smart way to go I prefer the cowl over the quarter fairing! Good video Ricky!!
My wife and I just bought one for her. She has been riding a Vulcan 900. We saw it on RUclips and had to go down to see if they had one,.. they didn't, but we ordered on of the two that they are allotted this spring. She got Storm Blue. It may appeal to metric riders, and girls who want to look cool on their bikes, and men who are making the switch from crotch rocket to cruiser.
100% on the age thing my man, too young for saddle bags, I'm 35, I get my new scout bobber next month, or so they say next month lol. It's just something about the bike that seems so welcoming to new riders and new to the scene which I am. Great Video! Cheers!
The one thing I am really glad they didn't do was add all that techy touch screen crap. That stuff jacks up the price and it always looks to me as just another thing to break. I cant wait to get my scout rogue :D im completely sold on it.
You should! Follow your closest Indiana motorcycle dealership on Instagram. They'll post when a demo truck stops by. They have one of, if not the best, demo programs that tour all the dealerships
If anything it's a slightly accesorized 2022 harley street bob mimic. Because it looks exactly like one even down to the wheels looks after you add a fairing. Street bobs have been a hot seller for HD from what I've seen.
Cool, man. Just looked them up. In my cart for winter again. Thnx!

They're thinking that the Sportster has gone the way of the dodo and nowadays there simply isn't an affordable American Cruiser on the market anymore. The new Sportster is basically too expensive for an entry level bike, H-D is basically a boutique brand that still markets itself as an "everyman" brand, which is a complete joke and Indian saw that and adjusted itself accordingly.
Yes! I got many responses. Funny thing though the mornings are about 10 degree more now since I posted that 😆 but next time around I think I'll go liners. Most winter gloves I've found are too bulky
Great F'n video. I said the similar thing on an Indian forum. They built up this imaginary bike to make it seem like they were gonna buy it. Much needed vid. That Scout Rogue is gonna look nice next to my Springy DH......eventually. I use insulated gloves from Viktos. They got a lot of cool stuff.
@Ricky Bobber Moto most of my stuff is warm weather gear since moving to the devils nuts in the ozarks 🔥.. but I do have an older pair of BmW gortex touring gloves... $$ worth the money
I think Indian did an excellent job with it. Yeah yeah yeah Victory Octane blah blah blah. It’s a great bike and kudos to Indian. Great job explaining Ricky 💯!
What gloves are those!?*** Cancel that Odins, got it. I like the way they look. As for glove recommendation... I went to Cycle gear and the guy there reccomoned me a gauntlet glove but said with an inner liner and the regular gloves I had would do the trick. (axial block glove liners)
I knew what they were going for when they dropped it but I think people that have had the bobber for 4-5 years now were hoping for an upgrade to the same platform so they could get EVERYTHING they want onto the bike they love. People love the engine and look and feel of the bobber, they just wanted it to be a bit more convenient and have better comfortability. Sadly people are looking at Harley’s new line up due to the lack of change by Indian and I think they missed an opportunity with this name change. It’d be understandable to add a bunch of extras (like a touch screen and better seat and bigger gas tank) for the rogue since its not called the bobber it wouldn’t be breaking the bobber code so to speak. but I like the rogue and get the usefulness to Indians lineup
I'll let you in on a secret: Everyone complaining about Indian's Rogue are using the same complaints. Just swap out Indian for H-D and Rogue for Low Rider S and ST. It's kind of funny actually.
Hey Ricky! Great video. As you may or may not remember I just ordered my 22 Scout Bobber ABS in Black Smoke January 22.... Nowhere in the Dealership did I see anything about the Rogue nor did the Salesman mention its release. Which is surprising since I was Ordering a pretty damn good Bike plus almost $4k in Options. But No hard feelings towards the Salesman.... I was pretty dead set on what I wanted and He knew that.... But anyway...All things being equal and I did know of it or if they actually had one on display....I wouldn't have changed my original order. The Rogue is nice but EH.... doesn't put the Jam in my Jelly roll!! Lol.... Sorry...just watched Lethal Weapon ! Anyway...The Rogue may turn heads...but the Bobber gets that Second turn!!!
Ya I even asked my dealer about "the new bike VIN codes." All I got was a shrug. And that was late January too. They soon went on a training trip with Indian corporate. A week or so later the Rogue went public.
I am also located in SD. I visited Indian motorcycle of El Cajon. I am looking to upgrade from my 500 rebel. I laughed when he quoted me $16,000 for a sixty bobber OTD. I couldn’t take him seriously anymore and I stopped listening to him. I had to walk away. I know scouts are difficult to come by right now, but 6k above MSRP. I didn’t even try to negotiate. I’ll wait once things cool down.
@@RickyBobber I did end up going there. I spoke to Brad. He was AMAZING. I never felt pressured and he actually educated me instead of trying to shove a bike down my throat. I keep saying it on all these videos and I'll say it again: the styling is great, almost perfect. But the outdated, lame instrumentation needs to go. The main thing on all scouts is the engine. They didn't change that so that's good. Just one more option to an already great bike. Keeping it simple.
They should have kept the back suspension as the same hight as the regular scout for more comfortable ride.
