What a shame they remodeled in the 1960's, what they thought to be the "new church" was just a horrendous fad.
I think the old or original sanctuary is much nicer.
Oh wow! I attended a concert here once; beautiful sanctuary. TBH I had no idea this place had a connection to Chicago mop history until I saw the bullet hole in the cornerstone.
The replacement is the altar should never have happened. IT looks like crap today in the sanctuary with this minimalism of Vatican II. PUt it back!
