I used to own a 2013 FX37, the best car I’ve ever owned! Travel across country several times and never felt so safe in any other car than the FX and I have had many cars! The most beautiful SUV compare to anything else out there!
Bought a 2011 fx35 2 months ago after test driving 5 1st gen fx35, oh boy! The 1st gen feels like a truck , the 2nd gen since 2009 literally feels like a coupe, it still blows my mind 2 months later. Step full throttle on the gas , you’ll scare yourself sometimes. The 2nd gen is fast, real talk. And the interior is just MUCHO gusto
While on the paddle shifter topic, you forgot to mention the downshift rev matching. I drive an 09' fx50 S in tge weekends and it's absolutely lovely to use it at least while stopping at a red light. Very nice car but the insurance and mpg is killing me in Europe. Very nice video, thank you
I have an FX37. I loved the look of the S51 model. It has a body kit on it so I had to order one from Mother Russia. Ground effects are front bumper, 2 side skirts and 2 rear fins. It makes the car look badass and lower. I threw 22” forgiatos on it. Same specs as the 20” oem enkei rims. Just thinner tires but not rubber bands. I also went staggered 9 front 10.5 rear. I don’t have akebonos but I feel the drilled and slotted work well so I’m not going to upgrade. I even threw a hitch by drawtite cause we go biking a lot. Im just happy I don’t have the adaptive lane departure. I heard it’s annoying. Thanks for the review on the differences. Love these cars!
And with or without the Akebonos, they are still great cars. I like the tech package because I use it all the time. The lane departure in these vehicles is a little sensitive, but I shared a video showing how to silence it - ruclips.net/video/jm2uOM0KkWo/видео.html

Bought FX 37s after q50 luxe on vr30.Feels muuuch more sportier even comparing sedan and suv just because of the S suspension. Comparing base FX or QX without big brakes and sport suspension to a Sport one makes ZERO sense. Completely different feelings in handling and confidence in it+ especially the sport seats are amazing. When was selecting this car, drove both regular FX and sport one which i bought in one day. Thats really different cars in feeling for experienced drivers

In later model years, they just got rid of the AFS button, but you can still verify by watching the headlights swivel ruclips.net/video/VTFg-E-m0YA/видео.html
Agree with you 100%, even more so on the 2015+ versions. It's now more cosmetics than the actual sports feel. Not sure how much more of a sport my 2015 is without BBK/RAS/CDC/AFS Having said that, It does look bad ass and It all comes down to cost difference. Btw... no suede fabric on the C pillar either.
They nailed the look for sure. I think over time their research showed that nobody wants to pay big money for a sleeper. It has to look like a million bucks...if it actually performs like it looks, then that's a plus, haha. Thanks for confirming the C pillar deal btw.
Also, I'm not one of those purists who will call people out because I think theirs is not a "real sport model". If Infiniti calls it a sport model, then I will do the same. Regarding RAS and CDC, the difference is quite dramatic to me. But I usually encourage people to test drive a car with those features first to see if you actually like them. BBK can be controversial at times, but I'd say your QX does just as good s job at stopping the vehicle as it is. You should have AFS, but in later years the switch went away so it just operates in the background (ruclips.net/video/VeKbEb2bL-k/видео.html)
I have to make some remarks:) - s51 production started at 2008, there are a lot of cars made in that year, at least in Russia. - FX37S - exists, I saw several cars and they had: akebono brakes, rear wheels steering, sport suspension and seats like in FX50S Also, I'm not sure in this but only sport models have doors and a hood made of aluminium. Back door is made of plastic everywhere..
I should have clarified, this mainly applies for the US models. And here, although the made and sold some of these cars in 2008, they were released as 2009 model years
Great looking vehicles! If you can find one, I'd say go for it. If I may ask, what is your current vehicle? Or what other vehicles are you considering?
Those are pretty nice too! Both vehicles look great inside and outside, but the biggest difference might be the space inside. Then, I like the way these drive, but I know that the SH-awd system is really good as well.
If you have one do not sale it.They will go up in price in a few years they don't make cars with this reliable any more everything made now is made not to last with cheap materials...fx and Qx70 are bullet proof SUV built to last..
HI i hve a 2011 fx 35S i bought from Infiniti i was told it has the suspension from a sport model thats why its a S model so i think it depends and what u order that makes it a s model.

Thanks for your channel... I have some questions...I'm a strong Acura owner, 2011 TL SHAWD, MDX SHAWD Advanced and 01 CL Type S but I'm really thinking of sell/trading all my Acura's out for some of these QX70 AWD and the Q50AWD or Q70AWD. I'm used to the front wheel drive bias AWD systems but concerned I wont like the difference/safety. How much of a difference is it? Also, I love the 21" wheels and I would want those on my QX70 but do they ride rough? Looking for your response when you can... #scaredTOmakethatLEAP
I have heard from some people who owned the SH-AWD systems say that they found the Infiniti AWD systems to be inferior. I admit that SH-AWD is very smart and does a very good job of torque vectoring, but I have never found the Nissan ATTESA systems to be lacking in any way. I enjoy the RWD bias without feeling like I miss anything about the Acuras I have driven.
The 21 inch wheels can be a little rough, especially when paired with the true sport models (so pretty much, FX50 sport). Although you get less meat on the tire with a 21 inch wheels versus the base 18 inch wheels, the suspension of the other packages is compliant enough that the drive will not be that jarring
All in all, I usually encourage people to take an extended test drive whenever they can. While the Infiniti strategy is great, it might not be for every one. All the best as you consider this step.
