Great lesson! I remember I saw you play at a gig in Toronto on Ossington Ave. You played Autumn Leaves and a few other standards and sounded great.

Made my way here via the random highway...but...was pleasantly surprised with some good playing and some notation/changes to see onscreen. Hopefully, I'll remember & have time to check out some of your other videos!

this is great!! it's the way to put bebop scale to work for really,,once in a seminar in Bologna Barry Harris said about the need to know how to run chords/scales one in another, it made perfectly sense at that time even, it's just that i wasn't able to figure out how to practice that. Thank you for this🙏

You seem to pick subjects that most other teacher's ignore. This lesson covers exactly what I've been looking for. I'm working thru Bergonzi vol 3 right now. Thanks.

Thanks I'm glad you find it helpful. That book is great to work from.I try to find topics that are not too often mentioned. A lot of teachers have covered bob scales before me, though. :)

thank you. You could make a video about "Autumn leaves" and "Someday my Prince Will" using the bop scales on the chord changes. Help me with those two standards please!

while studying a bebop charlie parker orientated book they tough there that the chromatic tones are every possible if you attend certain rules I guess what you mentioned that;s why I have a question Eb D DbC is what you would avoid I understand but what about B Bb A G resolving nicely to on strong beta F# E D in my ears 9 on am7 or D7 sound static already and don't have to resolve....maybe I am mistaken....I understand your safe pit to teach this matter and you do a terrific fine job your drill I am getting ...I see that when I try to do what you say because of that earlier study I tend to put the chromatic tiones every where and that sometimes gives liitle probles I am later resolving becasue than a few beats more chromatic sound is actually what also happends..I understnd that your way i to be abkle to line out the octave Maj7(bebop tine on Domianant so do you know where I am getting at?? I guess you are way further in jazz than me I am a Jazz traveller not yet arrived where I want to be...(stray cat miauw!)

Great Lessons! Curious on lydian bop scale, would you run some kind of lydian bop scale on Inner Urge?
