I traded my Harley Davidson road glide for a BMW R18 bagger at Sturgis!
Congratulations on your new bike!
You look great on that Bagger BMW and you handle it so well. Thanks for sharing.
Not for real did you ?
did you trade with Adam
Big mistake Harley is #1 just look around.
No need to worry about putting out too many videos while at Sturgis. I thoroughly enjoy them. In fact, living vicariously through your adventures. At my age, I may never make it there. Thanks!
Speaking of trees, or the lack of, I've lived both in Tennessee and the desert southwest. Once when flying back to Nashville from Las Vegas I had a layover and a chat with a lady who was flying in the opposite direction. She visited the Great Smokey Mountains National Park and said she hated it. She says she experienced claustrophobia from all the trees. Claustrophobia while outside. Never thought it was possible.
Not only was it cool that you got to put down some miles with Brian and Heather but you got an extra bonus for getting to hang with Adam. Keep Smiling and Laughing for us all Jess and Thanks for sharing with us all.
"On this gloomy/cloudy day, which are my favorites because I'm a vampire!." This has me rolling!! Haha
If you think riding the Black Hills is stirring the "inner geologist" within you continue NW toward Devil's Tower and up toward Glacier NP and you may begin consider going back to school. I've had to explain to my spouse of 46 years, this retired geologist loves the M/C riding because of the constant exposure to the science.
Looks amazing!! So glad you’re having an awesome time! Also, I was today years old when I learned that putting a string on my kickstand pad will make life so much easier 😂
😂😂😂😂😂
I love Sturgis. Enjoy your time and please share as much as you can and what RUclips will let you. I can't wait for your next one.
Every time I see the BMW R18 instrument cluster I can't help but see 2 eyes, the BMW emblem as the nose and an open mouth 😬🤣🤣
I just traded my Yamaha Eluder for a 2021 Indian Challenger. I love it! Knew there was no way you were selling Appa though!
What was with the "click to analyze" across the middle of the screen for a few minutes close to the end??
Well I knew you were getting the bagger R18, but didn’t know you were getting rid of Oppa, like the power of the R18 but like the looks of your Harley better.
Bagger are glorious because you can hop on one and ride 1000 miles without dying from pain lol.
Having, fun doing different things. Not, just bikes. Thanks!
I am glad that you specify Fahrenheit when you mention the temperature. If it were 105 Celsius or Kelvin we would be really worried 😂
Another good one. The ending with those guy's together was such a funny 😁
I made the pilgrimage from the West Coast to Sturgis several years ago, and it was a trip of lifetime. Your video brought back lots of great memories. Glad you're having fun.
That music for riding through town is ON POINT bahahaha
I commented on the wrong page, The friends you are traveling with..? Sorry, this is all for you! Women supporting women. Anyway, I went to Sturgis 2020 in which I hauled my bike. I went to Sturgis In 2021 and I rode my bike all the way from North Carolina it was over 5,000 miles in one trip by myself (a woman) I stayed in Pactola which is where I camped when I was a child it is the most beautiful place. All I did was rides, no partying because I'm a true motorcyclist. Nothing like living in the moment! I really like your stories and adventure! I subscribed and will continue to follow you. You go girl!
I like your vids but dont tell me the himalayan wouldn't have been a blast up there. I haven't seen a Himalayan video since you got it🤔
I think that bike would have a blast anywhere!
One of the best Sturgis videos this year. All kinds of stuff not just standing in one place and watching. Great job!
Jessica the last time I was in the Black Hills Of South Dakota was end of June into the first week of July 2007 and went through Sturgis on the way home seen Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse from the road stayed in Custer State Park and Deadwood at the KOA and in Rapid City at the KOA went to the Pioneer Auto Museum in Murdo SD also the corn palace in Mitchell SD had to pull over a few times to let the vehicle cool down
You look like you’re having just the greatest time. That is good to see and a part of why we ride.
When riding out West seeing the change from normal terrain to the inhospitable Bad Lands is quite amazing
Anyone else notice Carey Hart just casually cruise through the background at 18:27?
Awesome vid! Love your positive attitude!😊👍❤️
Sage motel in Greybull, Wy. Awesome place to stay if you head over the big horns when you leave. If you’re wondering west anyway.
That was a beautiful lake, those roads and the views just breath taking in video, hope one day to experience them myself.
Love how much fun you have on all your adventures. You inspire me. Can’t wait to buy my motorcycle this fall 🤍
I love it when you get giddy! But I had to smile when you refer to your bagger, as a cruiser.
Lake Pactola is very beautiful. We were there on Tuesday and it was breathtaking. I made sure to take plenty of pictures. Also, I try & find a small, rock to bring back to VA with me.
I'm with you on the trees and hills. In 01 I moved from IN to FL near where Josh lives. It was beautiful for a while but after a while I was missing the greenery. Move to NC a few years ago just to have it back. Love it here! Winters are not bad and I have beautiful rides. No more straight flat roads void of trees and grass
We love Deadwood. It's a totally different vibe than Sturgis and we prefer to stay there. Pactola Lake is just stunning...we've ridden over it several times but next time I'm gonna have to suggest to hubby that we do the boat on the lake thing as that looked like tons of fun.
Glad you are having fun. Have friends to stay with. Thanks for doing videos every day. Enjoy. Making memories.
I feel ya, i’m from Pennsylvania, and I need my lush green fullaged trees.
I live in Nebraska and have nothing but hills and trees. Take highway 20 through Nebradks and enjoy.
18:24 minutes in, Did anyone notice Carey Hart in the video?
I went down then back up 385 yesterday and that lake is badass!
That housing development is so nice! We stay up there every year for the 4th of July and will be up there for Labor Day this year.
Wow that was way too many people for me. Glad you had a great time. 👏🏽💪🏽
Sturgis is a huge rally but the European Bike Rally will open your eyes. To see plates from all over Europe, Middle East, Far East, Russia, China etc. Really great experience.
These journeys are why I love riding!!!
The wife and myself have been thinking about going to Sturgis one year. We weren't sure if we'd enjoy it since we're not into drinking or going to bars. What's your favorite part so far?
The lake is beautiful! Thanks for taking us along👍
I just came back from sturgis 2 days ago...had to go early cause of work reasons but I did sturgis area, spearfish canyon,MT Rushmore and Crazy horse momument...These are all great bike trips and if ya head across Wyoming like I did,run through yellowston and see all of that.west yellowston is great...The ride across Wyoming was very hot and tough but also amazing at the same time...If yall are not bar people, get a room in rapid city and run these places I mentioned....awsome time
@@chadsanislo560 we've been out there but it was in the cage. Would love to head back out on the bike and ride all these!
@@markjones3888 it's awesome that you loved it and I think I would like it too but I know a lot of people that ride and wouldn't enjoy it.
I was out there a few years back 10 days before the rally, the vendors were setting up and we still got experience it somewhat and we enjoyed the riding without all the traffic.
Go before or after the rally. Riding the roads in the black hills is incredible. Also Deadwood and Leads are good to visit, plus mount Rushmore and the Crazy Horse monuments are interesting too
Just stopped by to check your adventures out. My motorcycle has REVERSE, but it isn’t the only reason I bought my 22 GL1800 Goldwing Tour. Not a fan of the v engine design. Please be careful out there no matter what you ride. Congratulations on the new one. JT In Illinois
Gotta say I'm bummed to see Apa go. Congrats on the new bike but I will miss your Road Glide.
Appa isn’t gone. Just in the second half of this video…
I think I would like a lot of the things going on in Sturgis but I would stay away from down town. I would defiantly stay at the Chip so I could have some beers and not get into to much trouble. They have all the best shows anyway. Great video and be safe.
Wow, Jess! You really had me there! Lol, you forgot about the reverse 😂. Have fun and be safe!
Your voice is crystal clear with this bike!
I arrived Monday night. Thursday afternoon the motor blew up in Rapid City at 45mph in traffic. No Harley dealer within 100 miles would look at it, it's under warranty also. 2018 ultra classic. So, after the 120$ tow job, 1800$ U-Haul and trailer rental and a f-ton of gas, it is at my local dealer. My 3-week vacation ended in 2.5 days.
that lake looks awesome!!
“I brought a cruiser for a reason, I like to cruuuise.”
Love it.
Those that like to go fast are adrenaline junkies. The faster you ride, the sooner your ride is over. That doesn’t mean I’m advocating riding really slow, but it IS about the journey. Relax and soak it in. And sure, wick it up a little here and there in those sections that just call to you.
If all you do is 80, 90, 100+, you’re missing out and you’re also a danger to others on the road. If you just can’t ride any other way, please, stop riding. Take up skydiving or some other adrenaline charged past time.
Heather’s got some LEGS! Lol, definitely one spot where the reverse on the R18 comes in handy. Man, I’ve come SO close to dropping my Road King in lots like that. Either backing in… or backing out.
I love how you go to a packed rally of 500k people and you’re out on a lake with like 4 people. No crowds, riding roads a little bit away from the rally, no crowds. Dang, girl, you’re smart!
Doesn’t your RG have a heel toe shift? I thought all the touring bikes did? My RK does. I never use it, I shift normally, but the time I injured the top of my foot when a foot peg slammed down on it, it was nice to be able to upshift with my heel! But normally, I shift as if there was no heel part. I don’t want to get used to it because I have several bikes and only one has the heel toe shifter.
LOL, I love the shot, sped up video and music choice riding through town. If you think that traffic is bad, come ride where I live. I’ve laneshared in bumper to bumper traffic for well over an hour before and not commuting to work! Wrong road, wrong day, wrong time.
I hope you can retroactively fix the blue part during the bike showcase near the end.
I enjoyed the video. Next best thing to being there! Ride on.
Driving through South Dakota, “what a beautiful lake!”
Minnesota-land of 10,000 lakes… “ Hold my water bottle!” 😉🤣
We love our Dakota, Iowa, Wisconsin and Canadian neighbors but hey Minnesota literally means something like sky blue waters. 😃
I think it's cool that you did some out of the box vlogging instead of just what's at the rally. The rally is cool, but it's nice to see the other awesome things around the area. I will make it there one day hopefully
Hit up the Chubby Chipmunk in Deadwood. Chocolate ... Right near the intersection of where Deadwood, Lead, and the road south to Rushmore and Crazy horse is. I lived in Lead proper near the open cut. The Ham and Jam in Hewlitt may be something to consider. Spearfish, head north to Belle Fource and then Take the highway to Alladin. Dont miss the Alladin General Store. The towards Hewlitt (Devils Tower) Just past Alladin you can see the wagon tracks from when Custer took his expedition to the black hills. Enjoy! Good a place as any for the wind to take you. :D
Cary Hart in the background at 18:28….walked right by casually….
I love the background music you picked. Reminds me of the old silent movies 🤙🤣
love your video's and love the fact that your doing solos and ha ING fun with it, along with the video's and the other ones that I've been seeing on utube..... that it's inspiring me and the nevre to do it for my self, thank you. I grew up on dirt bikes and my first street bike was gxsr 750 to a Hayabusa and now 10 year's after of not ridding I have since bought my first 16 harley street glide. and absolutely love it and the community that came with it so thanks
omg that house/cabin what a dream!
If you think that lake is blue…visit Lake Tahoe and then tell us which is more crystal clear and blue 🤩
Thanks for the tour Jess
Love the sweeper as well.
Great video Jess, love hearing the fun you are having in your voice.
Glad you enjoying yourself out there! Really shines through the video as well. Would love to attent something like that over here in The Netherlands. Also loving the Sturgis content so far. Excited to see more!
I love Rapid. I head through to Newcastle, WY. It's gorgeous country.
Woh, haven't checked her out in a while. My my shes gained weight. Love the bikes. Safe travels.
Avoid Lazelle street in Sturgis at all costs! You'll wear out your clutch hand. The trick is to get on Main street, play in the circus for a few hours, and split. If you love nature and want to be a hobbit, consider moving to Colorado? South Dakota is BURIED in snow in the winter, but the Front Range of Colorado doesn't get much snow until Feb. And Sturgis is just 5 or 6 hours away, without all the traffic and boring highway of coming at it from the east.
Best thing so far on list of rides was iron mountain rd.
Thank you for sharing. I love traveling with all you guys vicariously!!
You know you don’t always have to back into a parking space. Always think about getting out of the space. If it’s uphill, pull in. Gravity will be your friend backing out. If it’s downhill, back in. Your engine will ride you out.
I got a chance to demo one of the R18 Transcontinental versions and it’s a beautiful machine but definitely lacks power at mid and high end. Can’t wait for newer versions to come out and see what BMW has coming.
Whaaaat?? I have never felt that about it. Maybe.
Thanks for the update Jess. Looks like everyone is having a great time. Looking good on the BMW.
Good times Jess. Looking forward to the rest of the trip.
Did you know you have a blue banner that says (click to analyze) across the screen around the 20:00 mark I thought my settings on my computer were freaking out from all the awesomeness 😂
Yep. Premiere Pro really let me down on this one
@@HerTwoWheels that is a real bummer, good video though hopefully I’ll be there next year if I can ever get to ride my bike
Love ur vids sisterlady!...I was taught back in the 1979 era, Bikers..> never say " let's hit the road", 1.25 million miles later, I still refuse the slogan.. I will say," let's roll".. !. Keep up ur dream. Im still living mine on the road at age 64... On a solo ride now, for several days. All posted on my FB account, well a tad.. be safe sisterlady...
Definitely keep being you! Being awesome!!
That new BMW is sharp looking. I am still not sure I like some of the large fairings that are commonplace on some fantastic bikes. But to each their own :) Enjoy the trip and be safe!
soon as I saw the title, it felt very "click bait" like, and lol while it was actually click bait, this is very good content!
it is?? I though for sure I actually traded my Harley-Davidson over for a BMW in this video. Must have missed that in the edit 😂
We are at Sturgis, and After see your video we went to test ride R 18 at denmo site I told them after seeing your video I had to ride one. I Thought it was strange no one new who you were. Anyway I didn't like I couldn't find rear brake. or get ny foot under shifter.
Great video! Man, the BMW house is gorgeous! Imagine a winter storm with those windows! Wow!
I was just there on the 1st! It’s so beautiful there. I can’t wait to go back. Made the trip up there from the southern tip of Texas.
Glad to see you’re having a fun time! One of these days I’ve gotta get out to Sturgis.
You title gave me anxiety. My heart broke when I thought you were getting rid of Appa.
Also I love you giggles and I may make the one at 1:59 my text notification.
Adam Sandoval is a crack up. I laughed a little out loud at his comment. Great riding.
Hey there @HerTwoWheels , I hope you can make it to Bikes, Blues, and BBQ in September 20 to 24th of this year. I am going to it, and I will probably try to get another motorcycle either during the rally, or next year. I had to give up my 2014 Honda CTX 1300 due to an extreme costs of breakdowns in my home, ranging from a central heat and air conditioner breakdown to where I was without air conditioning except for 1 window air conditioner, and a whole lot of box and pedastal fans during the summer, and then some space heaters for the winter, and then there was my cat genie, frozen water pipes, water connection outlet broke off, then the washer and dryer, and then now a water heater issue, and then to replace the dishwasher this year. All of this insanity happened recently, and now I have a good home warranty , and I am hoping that nothing else breaks down in my home, so I have been making my G.I. Joe Collection on my channel since then. I attempted to go to Sturgis in 2014, but I did not make it there due to what kind of scared me, which was the front wheel forks that was vibrating while going at highway speed through Nebraska to see the Motley Crue concert. Well, I might have to look at getting me a Honda Goldwing Trike or a Harley Davidson Tri-Glide, because now of some mobility issues with my feet, and then maybe getting a motorcycle trailer of open road Time out Deluxe trailers at: ruclips.net/video/KNi0xtrGBEA/видео.html , so the next time I go to a motorcycle rally like Sturgis, I will not have to worry about staying in hotels due to inflation right now.
Yessss! What a good time ! Deadwood is awesome ! 👏
good times by all! blacktop looked pretty comfy sitting B**** 🤣🤣🤣 all in love! he knows 🤣🤣🤣😇
I miss having a heal toe shifter. Your bike should of had it as the 18s still had it. Someone likely took it off. I rather upshift with my heal as it is much more comfortable to do especially on a long ride. One more thing I will have to buy for my Lucy. Kind of like the looks of that BMW. Thanks for showing it
I took it off! I like hanging my feet off the back of the floorboards. The R18 has smaller shifters so i don’t have an issue
This is the best Sturgis video this year!
Twice as cold in the winter in the Dakotas as it is in Ohio.
What was the light flickering on the speedometer just above the right end of the LCD? Not sure if my eyes are bad or if the color was actually changing from yellow to green at times?
I love boats and jet skis as well as riding motorcycles. Being on the water is always a ➕️
The Pactolla Resv was one of the most beautiful sights on our trip out there. The went to Mt. Rushmore and then to Deadwood, the hwy was fantastic and the lake was super. Have fun, be safe.
its cold too at pactola!
Wht is this blue line on the screen? 🤷🏼♀️😎
thanks for sharing.
Hey quick question: PLEASE PLEASE tell me what camera bar attachment and stick are you using because it’s awesome. I need your guidance please please.
All my gear is linked in my description!
string on kickstand pad? thats brilliant!
Great video as always! I’m enjoying the trip through your eyes!! 💗💗
Great times you got me with the Thumbnail.. Again..🤣👍🏻🇦🇺
