I feel the same way now, when I have come to Argentina. I am from Russia, and, my God, how closed and uncommunicative russian people are! Now I really got it! I feel that barrier inside me, I cannot easy to talk like argentinos, I cannot smile and be freindly like they. Maybe someday I can, but really not now.

When we're taught as children to be quiet, calm, and reserved - it's definitely a shock to find ourselves in a country where most people are outgoing and outspoken like that. But you'll adjust with time. Best wishes for your family and country by the way!
