    Ryans chin is sharper than any exposure shot on F32.

    Ive never touched 4x5 or instant film and seeing you guys shoot on these massive beasts of cameras looks so damn badass. Hoping my first 4x5 negative is 400D when I get there!

    Grafmatics are almost essential for shooting 4x5 simply because of how portable it makes the shooting experience. I got lucky last year and won an auction for 4 great condition Grafmatics for the price of 1!

    Great video but the best part was seeing someone like Linus being a student and learning from a couple OGs! Iron sharpens iron

    Ok, everyone bringing their fancy types of 4x5 cameras and using the graflex 6 shot backs made for a great way to show off a LOT of the film rather than the rate people might regularly take 4x5 shots! That rangefinder-eque camera was insane lol, is that a modified Land camera?
    Also, I'm curious, you're able to provide 35mm and medium format because motion picture film is offered in those sizes (35mm and 65mm), but how do you guys make 4x5 sheets? Are you able to super-special order these very wide rolls and cut them down to sheets?

    Wait what f/2 lens is on the TLR?! Is it the aerial xenon? Also what 3x4 did you mod for the aero Ektar? Looks more like a mentor but the chimney says Graflex?

      It an 115 year-old Kodak SLR. Was a fun task to refurbish and convert!

      @@brianwright5566 wow didn’t even realize Kodak had an SLR! Is the shutter single curtain or double curtain like the British reflex cameras (Kershaw/Thornton Pickard/Rittreck)?

    • @CineStillFilm

      There were 2 technically. One was the Intrepid Mk2 4x5 camera. But the one just shooting instant film was a Polaroid 110 converted Land Camera!

    What was the film shuffle thing you are using?

    • @CineStillFilm
      @CineStillFilm  8 месяцев назад +2

      That was a Grafmatic! It holds 6 sheets of 4x5. Then there's also a Kinematic, that is essentially a clone of the the Grafmatic, but it holds 10 sheets of 4x5. They're really fun!

    I got my box from the original backing of the film. I used ten sheets and threw the rest out. The 400d is pretty inconsistent and they’re cut too small for the holders. The film is thin and scratches easy. Lastly, the true iso is somewhere between 640 and 800. In the darkroom there’s a weird yellow cast that’s hard to filter out, and if you don’t have a glass negative carrier, good luck trying to keep this stuff flat. It dries up like an egg roll. Hope they correct all these issues moving forward.
