Just ordered the avant max as I'm hoping the double output from the mini max will work as a key light for weddings and live events. Love the design, portability, functions and features!
Just discovered your videos through Threads. Harlowe is great and I like your breakdown of the Avant Max. I've been using the Mini Max for most of my portrait shoots and I love it. I also agree that Kiran is amazing and I'm happy she has the role she has at Harlowe. They really care about their creators.
May I say out loud how many speedlites you can buy for $900? Jokes aside. For this amount of money you are able to buy 2 studio lights with stands and some modifiers. But hey. If you received it for free, that's a fair price 😉
Spot on honestly. I wouldn’t recommend Harlowe for everyone and I’m definitely biased since I’ve had a good relationship with their team. Harlowe and Leica fall a bit hand-in-hand with how much their brands cost versus their actual utility. For user experience I love both brands but if I needed to show up on a film set there’s other companies I would consider.
