OMG, I have total sensory overload with all these sumptuous, beautiful cushions and fabrics! I had to pause the video to catch my breath! You and Phillip did an outstanding job reimagining the cushions you worked on.Also, Andi's talent is trenendous.So many creative people are drawn to the chateau and to you,Stephanie.It reminds me of a French salon, where artists,writers, and intellectuals gathered.Also,in this age of Ikea,it makes my heart sing to see you highlighting the talent and beauty and craftsmanship of the past! You know he loves you when he lets you use the fabric scissors.
Could you make a sewing corner in the attic. A table and a couple of comfy chairs with sewing books. Another table with the sewing machine or two to keep fabrics from dragging on the floor. If not in Narnia another room close to the beautiful storage area. All supplies would be at hand. The dining area would be more ready to use.

And another utensil holder for scissors, measuring tapes and pin cushions. Also a see through one for threads. Or perhaps pegboards instead.
Andi's drawing of the attic bedroom was so cozy and inviting. I loved this episode and will always remember it as "The One with the Pillowpalooza".

I’m thinking that Phillip is quietly giggling to himself most of the day, listening to Stephanie’s off the cuff remarks. Which are always apt to the occasion and many times make me laugh out loud….

The cushion fill needs to be at least 1” all around larger to fill the cover they will look so much better, good luck
The light blue organza will need an interior envelope in either a matching blue or a white. My grandmother -- born in 1895 -- had beautiful organza pillow covers on her beds with all different interior envelopes in various colors.

as someone who is just getting into book binding, I squealed when Andie said she'd made her book of paintings! It's a beautiful work of art from cover to cover.
Go to your Brico store to get stick on motion lights . They are small enough for cupboards and need no wiring! Batteries only!!!!

Use the handmade "pockets" in the BnB for the guest with a note explaining how they are used to put their pajamas.

be extremely useful considering all the draperies,
cushions, bedding, costumes, etc that are always
projects waiting to be completed.

All of the cushions were so incredibly beautiful! I think my favorites were the the one with the tassels and the one with Horatio's brother!
I love your program and watching all of you patiently and lovingly piecing that chateau back together…. And it already looks beautiful. But when it was in its heyday with the French elites… how many people were required to run it… including the stables and property. It couldn’t have been less than 50! I’m glad people are restoring as many as they are… they do tell a story!

Absolutely adore the cushion restoration projects - gorgeous! Perhaps handyman Dan could be persuaded to rig up some lighting for your trimmings cupboard? It was a shame we couldn't feast our eyes on the gorgeousness tucked away in that cupboard.
Q: of the pheasant fabric; how many different siblings will Horatio have? It looked like a varying pattern. I agree - the cushion of the day was Horatio's brother, and the beautiful blue/cream/white for the kitchen chaise. Well done! Don't be shy about posting a short of the ongoing cushion progress. I loved seeing it. Well done both of you!
You could also purchase battery operated led sensor lights or led light strips for the shelving in the cupboards. I purchased the battery operated sensor lights for my bedroom clothes wardrobes.

Yes, the Horacio’s brother cushion was the greatest transformation. If you know anybody who makes paper I bet they’d love the shredded silk that was left over ❤️🇨🇦

Hello Stephanie and Philip! I look once more at this episode and see what a wonderful artist Andy is. I suggest that she follows her idea and turn the object into a bird´s house. It looks already like a little Lalande chateau for small birds. How nice! My children´s grandparents were both swedish artists and besides painting, they were very creative in making interesting things that could be used for the family. My compliments to both of you too.

I would absolutely purchase the one that showed the old Lalande portrait with the towers before the fire. The one Stephanie mention the towers reflection in the lake with the people walking in old period clothing. I think it was white with blue or gray stitching. It was one of my favorite Lalande portraits I have seen all year. It would make for a beautiful addition to sell in a pill/cushion collection.

I have to applaud this last two videos. Stephanie on a dumper in slippers trying to save her and Dan the gardeners lunch from the boulders. With a cup of tea in a hedgehog cup on the floor next to the gearshift. Then switch to sorting all of Lalandes cushions and fabrics to Andl’s beautiful drawing diary. Oh and we can’t forget the nettle soup that was a complete surprise. I never knew the where good for cooking. What a wonderful life we get to witness. Well done 👏.

The cushions are all beautiful. When sewing - remember the iron is your friend to flatten out the seams. Use a low setting and a towel on top of the delicate fabrics when ironing.
Yes I was talking to the tv saying "iron that (blue&white) fabric first before sewing"

If you didn’t already toss them, those organza pillow cases can be used for drying delicates if you dry on a line!

You can use the organza as maybe a layered pillow or a blanket. The color and fabric are so pretty, kinda cool spring feel

Love your channel. Been meaning to say it would be great to see a collaboration between you and the American Viscountess on the Mapperton Live channel. You are both strong women with huge properties to look after and could commiserate with each other over frequent water leaks to mention only one. She also broadcasts talks for the Smithsonian channel on subject of great houses- would certainly enjoy seeing you doing something similar regarding Chateaus!

The icing on the cake for home decor is placing just the right cushions on just the right pieces of furniture...They complete, warm up and punctuate the overall statement of the room. You made yours BEAUTIFUL. This was my favorite video...Someone suggested you sell cushions you make...I would love to see what could come of that....I think they would sell like hotcakes...but if they dont...you could always stop making them...or stop when it was no longer fun for you to do..Meanwhile your fans could have a slice of Lalande in their own homes as the icing on their decor cake 😊

As a past sewer and a collector of cushions this was a real treat! Thank you for the creativity as you combined fabrics to make use of all of your fabrics in the most beautiful ways. It will be great to see all of the cushions placed in the bedrooms as you get ready for the lucky B&B guests this year.

Pheasants are from Asia originally, so the cushion works brilliantly!

The little metal square with nails/pins along each side that is part of the little sculpture is actually a loom for weaving small squares - as a weaver, my heart rose up and sang when I saw it!
Put a simple flower cover on a pillow and put the organza one over it.
I was going to suggest that pillow for Gerald, too! :) (So many beautiful things!)
Have you thought of putting touch lights in the cabinets in the attic. They are able to go anywhere with double sided tape. Battery powered. I use them in Florida for when we lose power during Hurricane season. They last forever.
