I would agree with you, but I'm not so sure myself. For me at least, I bet part of the reason this is more entertaining is because I've seen so much Marvel 3 but not that much Marvel 2. I don't know how much Marvel 2 you've seen, but if you haven't seen much, I'm willing to bet your situation is similar. You watch any fighting game long enough, it becomes less exciting to watch, especially once you learn what's going on (I still have no idea what's going on in this game yet). But the good ones (competition wise) will still keep you there even when you do get used to it.

Well, it was kind of a waste to have 56 characters, and seeing everyone using only 8 of them. Beam ain't random unblockable! If you'll come with me in the way back machine, the previous game Sentinel was playable in was X-Men: Children of the Atom. In that game, Sentinel's d+HP was a missile projectile. When a projectile is created, it's the projectile's responsibility to trigger "hold back to block." When they updated Sentinel for MvC2, they changed the d+HP to a beam, but didn't give it enough "back to block" frames, making the last two (I think) frames of d+HP unblockable.
I looked up the MvC2 Cabinet... Cap. America/Cable/Marrow vs Ruby Heart/Strider/ Morrigan were the teams. The Box-art on Dreamcast had Guile and Psylocke PS2 had Ryu, Hulk, Gief and Spidey
both this game and umvc3 are fun to watch in my opinion. The best umvc3 matches are the ones where the players are scrambling everywhere in the neutral game trying to land a hit with their fast movements. Mvc2, i dont really care for most of the cast I want to see some magneto!
