I’m 11 years old and I have been trying to crochet for SO LONG. When i couldn’t get it, I decided to try finger knitting. I couldn’t understand any of the videos and i was about to give up when I saw this one. I actually did it and I feel so proud of myself right now😳😊
I’m an experienced knitter, used to make fishermen knit sweaters. Very concise instructions! Bravo, you voice and tone are clear and encouraging. Followed along. Excited to learn more . Appreciate your time, talent and effort! Ty 💗
Any other video makes me so frustrated. But this one help me a lot. It so much fun. Although using a safty pin to pause works better . That way your stitches don’t slide off
Extremely helpful! I tried a few other videos prior and they were just too fast for me to follow comfortably. This one however is great, thank you you so much :) !
Hi Zainodis, that's great to hear! I hope you've been making some fabulous things with finger knitting!! Sending love and knitting wishes, love Merion and the LoveCrafts team xx
I love fingerknitting but everytime I had to take it off to cook or use the restroom it got all messed up so I got those large vinyl gloves that Dr's use for examinations and I blew it up like a balloon then I tied the bottom in a knot and I call it my hand-y helper, now when I have to cook dinner or whatever all I have to do Is lay my hand-y helper down carefully and all the stitches stay on and I just pick it back up and continue, I make sure I have one strand on each finger so When I pick it back up I just continue to wrap the yarn around each finger on the glove I works great and I don't need to transfer my work to a stick😁
Please please answer if you can! Is it possible to fix a mistake? I ended up making a hole somehow in the top middle of my son's baby blanket. I thought I could just work with it (I continued on with the blanket as normal) but now the first 5-6 stitches on the top are way lose :/ it looks funky... can I fix it?
I can't seem to pull the strand to make it tighter. There's a knot forming while I try to pull the strand and then it stops and won't move and get tighter. What should I do? What am I doing wrong?
Hey there, If you could get in touch with our team via our helpcentre on the website, that would be super lovely. Just send a few pics across so they can have a look at it for you.🥰
You sure can! You might want to create a few of those and then sew them together to make it a little wider. Here is a link to the blog post, with some more inspo: www.lovecrafts.com/en-gb/c/article/how-to-finger-knit
Hey Rhonda :) You can use any size you feel most comfortable with. However, if you are new to finger knitting, we would suggest a heavier yarn weight such as worsted or chunky! Enjoy and happy making :) Sarah at LoveCrafts
Hey Zurish! :) In order to assemble the pieces, line up the loops of your finger knitted pieces and simply sew them together. If the loops are big enough you can just use your fingers to pull the yarn/string through, if they are smaller you can also use a needle. :) Let us know, if you need any more help! Happy making, Sarah at LoveCrafts
Hey Brooke-lynn, Here is a link to our step by step finger knitting guide, which also has instructions on how to bind off: www.loveknitting.com/finger-knitting-link I hope you will find this helpful! Happy making, Sarah at LoveCrafts
