Austin, I have really come appreciate your channel. No gimmicks, rah rah horseplay, bashing of other makes or talking like an idiot and making up words. Just a real, honest guy putting classic mopars back on the road, in our hearts and back in a little bit of the spotlight.
You seem like a great caretaker for these beauties... I have a 71 imperial four door hardtop, and a 75 imperial crown coupe going back together after paint.
Thank you for your no nonsense approach without the jackass-ery like most of the rest of the idiots on RUclips

My grandmother had a 1963 Dodge 330 in turquoise with a white top four door sedan. She was minty fresh but finally sold it as I ran out of room, lol. I spotted it a few months ago driving up behind it one night. Surreal experience. It’s somewhere in Wilmington NC near the State Ports, my old neighborhood. Where abouts are you in NC?

71+ year old FUD here. There were a couple of nice treasurers, especially the owner’s manual. I have several road atlases going back almost to WWII. You can bet that the one you found was a Rand-McNally. They made a lot of those for a lot different insurance companies to put their names on to give to their customers. You can use old maps to see how the routes of roads have changed over the years. I’ll look forward to see what you do with the 880. Happy motoring!😊

Chrysler introduced the 880 to fill the void that was left when the intermediate line was made too small. This model has a Dodge front end clip with a Chrysler C body from the front doors to the rear bumper. I don’t know how you find these vintage Mopar gems.

1961 Dodge Polara body, front clip and trunk lid with 62 Chrysler quarter panels and taillights and a 61 Desoto dashboard. A major rush job to provide Dodge with a full size 1962 car. All 62 Chrysler Corp. senior cars were major rush jobs when the intended models were abruptly canceled

In 1962 I went with Dad to the local Dodge dealership to look at the "new" Dodge Custom 880. Dad decided it looked too much like his 58, especially in roof line and waited for the "more normal" Plymouth Fury coming out for 1963. It was quite a car with the Commando 361, which might have been the same engine in the 880?@@jamespn

When enough longtime Dodge fleet car buyers rebelled, refusing to buy the new for 1962 reduced size B body models, Chrysler decided it had to do something quick. They did a pretty good job , rushed a “new” full size model , the 880 , into production - using the 1962 Chrysler Newport body , attaching the 1961 Dodge front sheet metal, installing the 1961 instrument panel .
