    Hmm based on a cursory understanding of the machanism, If i restore dormant/miniaturized hair via PP405 , will it make sense to discontinue the use of PP405 and maintain my gains with FIN/DUT?

      Well that's just a theory. If it is that potent then perhaps it would be all you need as it can override whatever damaging effects DHT has on the hair follicle

    Errrr it’s just a blued out image of the follicle. that doesn’t really tell us much about hair growth. Why would they put this out? It’s such an upstream effect it’s irrelevant to what both patients and their investors want to see. Does this stuff regrow hair ?

    • @Kyle_Bu
      @Kyle_Bu  16 дней назад +5

      It is mechanistic. By the way, they didn't put this out. This was on their secondary version of their home page which is not easily accessible.
      Personally, I do think it is important to share that at the very least, at the moment in their research, the activation of these hair follicle stem cells is similar to what they have noticed in their pre-clinical animal studies. In those studies, the hair did grow back.
      Similarly this is reflected in ex-vivo human scalp hair.
      It is encouraging that the pattern is reflected in actual live human subjects, especially shortly after application.

    • @homopolemicus3449
      @homopolemicus3449 16 дней назад +1

      @@Kyle_BuI agree but it’s been nearly 6 months since the trial began. If the results were encouraging we would be see something more substantive. We’ve been here before with amp303, scube etc. Just Lab hype. Also hair growth on grafts and animal studies are really not predictive anymore. So many drugs demonstrate this then fail

    • @Kyle_Bu
      @Kyle_Bu  16 дней назад +3

      @homopolemicus3449 that's not how clinical trials work. They've only recently finished phase 2a as well with a primary completion this February 2025.
      This trial is also quadruple blinded...so why would they post results if Pelage isn't even recording the data directly? That's irresponsible.

    • @Vince-H
      @Vince-H 16 дней назад

      @@homopolemicus3449 That's now how trials work at all, - someone who works in clinical research. You do not get data before the trial ends. Research sites execute the trial, the sponsor (pharma company) receives the data and compiles it based on the protocol parameters. They must follow strict guidelines as prescribed by the FDA and comply with the IRB regulations to ensure compliance.

    I'm most interested in the percentage change of vellus to terminal hair conversion (ratio). If (vellus) scalp hairs are no longer cycling, does the mechanism hold true? Knowing the MOA is great but it could limit the effectiveness. If it kick starts the (dormant) follicles then I'll be super excited to add this into my stack!

    • @Kyle_Bu
      @Kyle_Bu  15 дней назад +1

      I'm wondering if there is a dose dependent response! :D

    Thanks for the great video.
    So in theory - a direct lactate injection could/should also help to activate hair follicle stem cells? How about some sort of a topical lactate solution? Ammonium lactate creams are easily available for example.
    Or does this only work when the backup kicks in?
    Super interesting... Maybe this is what we all hoped for...

    • @Kyle_Bu
      @Kyle_Bu  16 дней назад +2

      I thought something like this as well, but, I don't think its enough for just injecting lactate. It could be confluence of things. Perhaps you need a certain cellular environment and the activation of various genes, some of which being downstream of ATF4.
      Some of those genes could also have special signaling properties to specific growth factors that can determine how hair follicles respond.

    • @onepunchbud1472
      @onepunchbud1472 16 дней назад

      @@Kyle_BuYes, that's what I guess as well. I just googled a bit and interestingly there are some shampoos and lotions with lactate acid and they are rather new (a few years max) and some people claim their scalp health improved a lot.
      Will give it a try, but I guess when you have a specific med which is designed to penetrate the skin and does its magic there it has to be more efficient.
      Also, I could imagine that this backup mechanic needs to be triggered, so the "alternative fuel" is really used.
      As long as the primary mechanic is working, it probably is not as useful.
      It's the same with sports - as long as you have enough carbs, the body is not forced to burn fat. Only after a while of running the body is forced to use a different energy source.

      Please don't make jokes like this dude. These people are doing us great work and it doesn't make sense to even make a meme like that. They aren't the issue and much of Pharma and BioTech isn't.
      These companies would love if we could use their medications and the most cutting edge technologies. But health insurance companies prevent this (in the United States). Health insurance companies would prefer us using older drugs that sometimes that aren't as efficacious as newer ones and typically have more side effects. So they are more likely to deny the coverage for newer medication and treatments.
      Nevertheless dude, I get you're telling a joke but considering the environment we're in, and even the suggesting that BioTech or Pharma is the issue, is risky, false, and dangerous.
