- I love how Cuckoo made the MegaFM sound in this video: • MEGAfm - My Noisy Drea...
I tried to come up with some patches on the Mask1 which sound somewhat similar to Cuckoo's patches - ultimately you can never get 100% there but the Mask1 can get at least some of the lovely noisy grunge of the MegaFM.
All sounds and effects from the Kodamo Mask1. I am very pleased to announce the release of my new album, "MASQUERADE". All sounds and effects on the album were made exclusively with the Kodamo Mask1. The album is available on Bandcamp: jbowman.bandca...
That first patch is amazing. I want it.
do you have a Mask1?
@@jbowmanmusic I don’t, sadly
I dig the last sound for sure. They're all pretty cool.
I have a couple fm synths , not the megafm. I'll try and see what fm like sounds i can get on my mask1. I've gotten a couple nice ep sounds but I'm thinking mask env looping from the update, maybe it can buzz some more
Thanks. I find that the "pure FM" sound of one operator modulating another is pretty difficult to replicate by other methods, and I can't get that raw tone out of the Mask1 at the moment. Once the FM patch becomes more complex, as in these examples from Cuckoo, it gets a bit easier to try to approximate the tones.
Very nice!!
Thanks!
Very nice! 👍👍👍
Thank you!
Pleasure!
Lovely sounds as always 🍌
Thank you !
far better quality from Kodamo compared with Twisted Electrons
Interesting you say that. Do you have the MegaFM? I do find the audio quality of the Mask1 to be superb, but I also find the lo fi quality of the MegaFM to have its own attractions, from the demos I have heard.
I have bought two, one with power problems and another with the lack of one button. Never buy again
@pedrogomis sorry to hear that! I don't think I have ever bought a synth that didn't have any problems, either out of the box, or developed over time. In the interests of full disclosure, when my Mask1 arrived one of the front panel screws was loose - not a big thing, it had come loose in transit and I was able to screw it back in pretty easily. the sound is flawless though.
