The Audience Score proves that younger and older people like the new films due to nostalgia AND how different it is but did you even know that most of the audiences for the 5th and 6th films were 18 to 34 year olds which means a lot of people who saw the films weren’t even born to watch the originals. Scream 3 is so underrated. It's my favorite one, the motive of the killer actually makes sense and isn't stupid. Plus a plot twist that they are half siblings. Roman is truly my favorite killer and hands down is the strongest as he worked alone and got many kills. If only roman wasn't a killer, he and sid would've been the perfect undefeatable siblings.
This is my favourite final act (minus Dewey & gale’s ridiculous shouting from other rooms) Fantastic acting and lots of suspense as to who will win the fight.
This might be the black sheep of the series but there's a lot to note about Roman. (i never watched 5 so i dont care what happens there) 1. Roman is the only one to actively fight and try to kill Sydney with the robe on, making his brutality more believable because he's the only one comfortable enough in the robes to actually perform the brutal kills. 2. Roman is extremely brutal and inventive in the kills. He will never top other killers up to 3 and maybe beyond, but he went above just stabbing people to death. 3. That beatdown from 40 seconds to 1:31 is brutal and the only time Sydney was ever truly vulnerable in a one on one. He was always in control unlike the others, even Billy lost his cool and lost control. When i saw this fight, i was wondering if they were going to pull the trigger with Roman, heck even watching scream 4 i never kill Sydeny even though they came close. Sorry scream 1 and 2, but Billy/stu, Mickey/Mrs Loomis, but Roman stomps. I can easily believe Roman was realistically capable of all the stuff he did and killed off his partner just to keep her from killing Sydney.
Re-watching it years later though it really shouldn't be the black sheep. Just the fact that it gives us more than a snippet of the Stab Meta-verse makes it pivotal because that later becomes a big part of the motivation for the killer's in 4 and 5. And in the little Screen time that they share they do a great job in have Roman's thought process and fight styles kinda mirror Sid's.
To be honest, even though this is one of my least favorite Screams, it was actually the scariest for as a kid because of how dark the mansion was, seeing Roman “dead” in the freezer, and the Maureen Prescott “ghost” scenes. It always had such a grim vibe to it. Yeah, I definitely still love this one.
Randy was right that this was the conclusion of a trilogy. Scream 3 will be to me the BEST one of the series compared to S2 and S4. The fourth movie was not needed and a cash grab. It focused more on the gruesome deaths rather than the mystery of the Ghostface using the usual teen horror movie tropes that was done better with the original. Yet I still have respect for it since it was Wes Craven's last film before his death. Scream 2 had least had the decency to kill off one of the series favorite characters to up the stakes with the film along with an impressive cast list. Scream 3 up the stakes more with the past coming back to haunt and hunt Sidney in a way that cleverly done that involved the murder of Sidney's mother and secret life that got her killed. Along with the inside joke depicteding the studio producer as HW before it ever made mainstream headlines. Including a believablely intense performance by Scott Foley as the both director of the parody movie and the Ghostface killer with a convincing backstory that insane enough to be believable to the audience. And to add the depth of the story, Sidney is a broken woman after the events of the 2nd film, still dealing with her grief of loosing her boyfriend, Randy and her roommate. Yeah Sidney should have gone into the sunset becoming a successful life as an actress yet this version of Sidney was more convicing and meaningful when it came to hidding herself from the rest of the world after the Ghostface killings. In meaningful way tries to help other women as an anonymous operator for a crisis center which to me just gives Nev Campbell's character more depth and understanding to the audience watch. It just makes Sidney more of a true survivor than Lorrie from Halloween. And in a strange twist of fate, Sidney eventually could have suffered the same terrible fate as her mother did. Like Randy said in his video, Sidney's past returns and later finds out that her mother was also actress who was physically abused and broken by the very man who Roman works for by the climax of the film. Thus bring a harsh truth about what Hollywood is really like. I'm not really a big fan of slasher flicks yet Scream 1-3 felt more like murder mysteries rather than straight up slasher flicks. I honestly classify Scream 1-3 horror thrillers or just thrillers rather than slashers. Nightmare on Elm St, Halloween and Friday the 13 are more slashers than Scream, at by 3 that is. To say Scream is a slasher is nothing more than a marketing gimmick to sell the product more. Also Cotten's death only proves what Dr. McDreamy later said in the film by that by a 3rd film usually means all bets are off. In the end, the 3rd Scream movie really combines both 1st and 2nd films and despite an alternate story/ending, Scream 3 is definitively the BEST one in the series. Yet I hope the 5th movie next year will honor the legacy of the Wes Craven and his vision for the series. And a part of me says that its just wishful thinking, who knows.

@@idkjjjkkjjjj He didn’t even defeated her, he just put her 2-3 little hits from the nose and a punch. Sidney smashed him with a knife.
@@grizou616 he defeated, with difficulty, but he defeated, watch the fight
2:41 Roman seems to be smart, but he didn't shoot Sydney in the head.
A sister after all?
Script
Roman wanted Sydney to suffer before she died that’s why he shot her in the chest and not in the head if you shot her in the head she doesn’t suffer before she dies
Bro literally roman had so many tries to stab sid but he didn't
I need to see fight scenes like this is future radio silence scream movies. Like please Sidney always handled these killers 😏
Seeing Roman get upset as Sidney tells him how messed up he is makes me laugh everytime
Damn this time sidney took hell of a beatdown😅
0:38 I felt that
if there was no plot armor and if roman was going for the kill then scream 3 would end in like 30 mins
If they kill Sidney off in the fifth movie I’m just gonna pretend it doesn’t happen
Why? She’s a bore.
If they hadn’t insisted on making every killer connected to her maybe the series would not have descended into the farce it was.
@@gzz8551
Well it’s just some horror movie victims need to live I think. Plus they’ve done it to enough of them already
@@Jacobcoleyray
Victims can live sure. But they don’t need to be dragged back for 5 movies.
@@gzz8551 well tough luck cuz neves against sidney dying. So u gonna have to accept it
@@SlasherHorrorMovies1
Well you’re gonna have to accept repeatedly being given the same old shit over and over again.
But I suppose you’re not that discerning anyway.
1:26 This scene is so underrated
SIDNEY YEAH BUT THE VIDEO HAD SO MUCH SWEARING OH GOD ❤❤ AND I SAW ALL MOVIES!!!!❤😊
If Sid can put up a good fight against Stu and Billy. Roman is no match for her! Let’s gooo Sid! Love these Scream films! 🔪🩸😱
Seeing Sidney put up a fight against someone twice her size is insane.
I loved this movie!
I Love the Scream Saga 🖤
Literally just a sibling fight:
Best siblings award😩😔
2:27 despite roman being a crybaby honestly this dude cold asf he shot his own sister without any hesitation😭😭
The bleeps are hilarious for a clip showing a lot of violence.
I still think Mickey was the strongest Ghostface killer; Roman probably second if only for that rage boost
Billy was the first then Nancy and then Roman
@@Mephiles_as_TeriosRoman orchestrated the whole thing though, everybody else including Billy, his mother, stu, and everybody else were just pawns in his game.
@@alexbarron3831 yes and everyone after his reveal continued what he started
Sidney knows how to hold her own!
Roman is easily the best ghost face
Yes, and Mickey the second best.
2:27 Sidney thought she’ll play Roman😂😂😂😂
This reminds me of my brother. He beat me for a good three hours. With his children watching in horror.
Great movie
sidneyyy got tore upppp.
Average brother sister fight tbh
That is why is Roman my fav. Ghostface
@2:08 took me out 😂😂😂😂😂
Sidney and Roman should have bolded as brother and sister
I love all scream movies 1-2-3-5 4-6 are okay but this 3rd act is so good even before syd get there that madness
Rare video of me and my sibling fighting over the last peace of pizza 💀
Today on Jerry Springer, My half brother is a serial killer.
Seriously? Why does everyone hate this film so much?
because they shouldn't have killed jamie kennedy in part 2
@@OmegaSaiyan92 lol he had to die. He was annoyingly creepy😂👍👍. So yea.......scream 3 is the best 💯
@@ultimategrimreaper6499 actually he was funny as hell, and killing him took away the comic relief that every movie needs
@@OmegaSaiyan92 Whatever 😂😂🤦♂️
It's because it was unnecessary and there was no need for it to be made. The first two people loved but you can't be three times lucky that very often making films
Dont worry dad we were just playing
It’s a shame Roman died
Had a lot more potential for a recurring character
Just wish the Columbine shooting never happened so Stu would've came back for this movie instead of using Roman Bridger
I'm glad Stu never came back. I find the idea that he survived pretty silly and unrealistic. The guy was stabbed multiple times and then had his head crushed by a TV. Seemed pretty dead to me.
@@SlasherIncorporatedAnd on top of that a tv which had electricity in it.
@@usamazulqarnain8420 Right, exactly. It just seems way too far-fetched that he was able to survive that. Let him be dead and stay that way.
No way. That would've been terrible and Roman is a much better character.
Honestly average sibling fight
1:01 not Dewey hitting gale with a book
Brother and sister 😊 0:01
الراجل اللى فتح الباب شبه مصطفى خاطر😂😂😂
They fight lile siblings 😂. I just realized they are siblings
The one thing that I never liked about ScreM is how there's no overarching singular bad guy to counter Sidney. Roman would have been an excellent Michael Myers to Sidney's Laurie Strode, but every movie the killer dies. Like I get that's the point than anyone can be Ghostface....but after awhile the excuses become as laughable as Shane Dawson in Smiley with " I did it for the lolz."
Jesus Christ can you stop censoring the cussing? This is ridiculous
I agree
Classic Siblings
So Much Swearing Bleeps 😂😂😂😂
