I am Cherokee. What these men are singing is not the Cherokee language. It sounds closer to Incan. This would also go along with the type of instruments they are playing. But it is beautiful music and definitely Native American, just a different nation and culture. Thank you so much for sharing with us.

Although I'm Puerto Rican, I been married to a Peruvian for 14 years, long enough to know these guys can't be Native American Cherokees but from South America because this music sounds Andean and the language sounds Quechua. I been to Peru many times and learned the culture well. I wonder why they feel they would be more liked, accepted and make more money dressed this way and not the Andean way which is beautiful too.

12 years later....I am also Puerto Rican and wondered the same..but I have seen similar groups in Europe( on youtubes) an they dress like North AMerican Natives..but are Andean.....very beautiful....but not the same.. Ojala que todo este bien con usted Y su familia en estos dias.

These guys are great, I can recognize that is down in britomart; downtown in central Auckland, they're played there a couple of times too and yeah they're from south america but there is a lot of similarities between them and the native americans. They really get the crowd going too.

These guys are great. No one ever found out a way to support them? A couple leads in the comments.."four winds" as a band name. And Imogenes as a previous group they were in. Both dead ends.

Why does everyone always connect native american to Cherokee? I am cherokee, but I am also Choctaw and Catawba , which is from the sioux. I think ppl just say cherokee bc they don't know any other tribe names.

Cherokee? Dunno about that. The music sounds more South American than North American Plains Indian, and somebody else commented that their outfits are Peruvian.

@andeson88 and all other 2 Please take your time and think over this. P.S. Do you know the famous “Sacred Spirit - Ly o Lay Ale Loya”? It´s a original by a native, Sami, girl in Sweden. ruclips.net/video/dHiU36GDaEA/видео.html I can tell you something else; This 3 different natives belong to the same family… So please, be careful with your judgement.

These musicians are not Cherokee .... they are South American people. Some of us do know the difference. It is important to name peoples tribal roots correctly, if you can. Just letting you know. Blessings, ox

@andeson88 and all other, who lost the respect to each other and judge by the eye. You really don´t got the point. Who own the clothes? Have you ever seen a woman walking in The Man´s wear? Who own the music? Have you ever heard a cover? Who own the language? Do you only speak your mother tongue? Where is your feeling? Have you ever heard about the union the South and the North started to work together in America? Sending this clip ruclips.net/video/gAM0dOuRPRg/видео.html A short info about it.

The guy with the tall bamboo pipes is the giveaway that this is a group from the Andes -- and the music they play is a New Age ripoff of actual traditional music. Is it a good show or a shameless ripoff? They're not bad musicians, even though half of what you hear is a recording.
