so.. it turns on a light so the trespasser can see where they're going in the dark.... gotcha

Very good, very easy. Just move switch basically outside instead of inside pushbutton. Well done. Definitely a quiet alert. By the time intruder has seen light, they might think you did too. Element of surprise is gone. Good deterrent👍

    Last Bush Survival -
Seen the short video for the DIY Bottle Cutter (which looks great).
You noted a full video on your channel in this demonstration, but not finding it - please supply the link. Thanks. 🙂

Nice little build. The nail thru the clothes pin was great. I used similar devices when I would make my camps in the early 70s and continued doing it for the next 50 years. I carried spools of high test fishing line or I used military trip wire on spools.
The use of the plastic bottle to make line is really good. I wish I had thought of that trick years ago. I will be including that little stripper tool in my Go bag. Thanks.

I realize this was a demo and agree that the pfc cordage is very useful and can be used as a last resort, however, The problem with the plastic bottle cordage is that it's very shiney.. Strong cordage matching the environment is preferable

Please make a video on that pencil sharpener bottle cutter, I've seen epaborate contraptions to do the same and to even do it with a stick a few notches and a knife, but that sharpener seems so handy

nice one, but I would also waterproof that battery

Love the bottle cutter. And I especially like this idea. I wonder if it would put off more light to have it pointing up instead of to the side.

You can also slit the casing and install a non-conductive disc between the battery and terminal that can be pulled through the slit by the trip wire. Cover the slit with a small amount of melted wax to keep out moister. This keeps the battery inside and protected from the elements.
If you want the audible version of this, use the personal sound alarms with the same setup.
If you want something the intruder will not (likely) notice, use a laser pointer that points to a prism at your end. The prism will magnify the effect to make it more noticeable.

Hey LastBush Survival, I just watched your video and I must say that it was really helpful and well-made.
I was wondering if I could help you repurpose your long videos into highly engaging shorts? I can also make high CTR thumbnails for your channel. Wanna try out one for free?

Какое практическое применение этой приспособы? Насколько эффективная она будет например в дождь, когда все отсыреет и батарейка коротнет?

I like those little inexpensive flashlights but I was thinking that I would do the same thing but with cheap little plastic flashlights. I have some that use C or D cells that I picked up for like a dollar. I live in Florida so if something's going to get wet I have to make sure it's not going to rust so that usually means aluminum or better yet something plastic. This was a cool project and I'm going to check out how to make the bottle cutter to make plastic cordage.

    Не понимаю зачем это?
Чтобы увидеть такой свет ночью, нужно быть недалеко от фонаря и в прямой видимости.
    Кроме этого и не поспишь.

Be careful showing people trigger mechanisms. It won’t be long before they are asking you to show them how to use a mobile phone to turn a torch on from 30 miles away.
