Been there many times in the 70's as a child. We used to camp at the Wagon Wheel campground across the street and visit the Dairy Queen next door to Frontier Land .
Remember it well from late 60's. those were the golden days of cowboys and Indians. Loved Ghost Town too. the thing I like the most of Frontierland was the cable car ride in and out and the old palisade fort, met Brendon Boone, one of the guest stars, he had played on Garrisons Gorillas TV Show. Pearson modeled the park after "Frontier Land" in Oklahoma City. He did a great job designing both this one and Ghost Town.
Hi everyone, This video was so sad to talk about. Frontier Land was my Favorite park! ♥Please SUBSCRIBE to Planet Frontier Land www.youtube.com/@planetfrontierland Thanks for Watching. -George.
The girls on stage in the film are not at Frontier Land. That is the Silver Dollar Saloon at Ghost Town from 2001 or 2002 when I was gunfighting there. I cannot remember all their names, center is Liza, and on the far right is Rachael Black.
I have lots of memories of Frontierland. My folks used to take us to Cherokee, NC and Pigeon Forge, TN every summer. My favorite ride at Frontierland was the steam train. We used to stay across the street from the park, I'd get so excited every time I heard it's whistle!!
Same here we didn't get to go every year But when I was 6or7 went with GRANDMA AND GRANDDADDY around late 60s on that trip I got to meet DARBY HINTON (ISRAEL FROM THE DANIEL BOONE SHOW) LATER in the 1970s went several times with Mama ,step-dad , brother and sister, I've heard it said people just don't like westerns anymore , but everyone I know loves westerns on TV and Western theme parks If someone with the money opened one I would go and believe a lot of people would also go ..... Thanks for the great video
I remember Frontier Land and GT. It was great. I was a kid then. Pigeon Forge was about 20 buildings max. One said, it had a buffalo herd in the back. So we went back there and there was one buffalo lol
Found pictures my parents made from Frontierland and Santa Land on a trip in 1973. OMG this is such a great throwback!
Such precious memories. Thank you. 🙏❤️🕊
Went once in July 1977. Family vacation. Will never forget it! Thanks for posting!!
