Fun fact: Luigi was the only one to get an invitation but he invited everyone else. And I think that that's nice.
I refuse to believe that Luigi was fooled AGAIN by the same trick he was fooled by in LM1. Mario probably invited _Luigi_ to the hotel with him.

@@phantomtime6385 Egad got his own invitation before Luigi. Luigi didn't invite him, Egad went there because he believed that he was going to see a ghost collection but Luigi thought he was going to stay at a five star hotel and have a good time in doing so.

I would just buy the game for the cutscenes. I love how goofy and wholesome they made Luigi.

I really like how the last two games developed Luigi's character into a wholesome guy who just gets scared easily but despite everything still does his job. Also Polterpup is his emotional support dog, so that's adorable.
@@frauleinzuckerguss1906 many people calls him a coward, but he literally faced his fear many times in this game: a bowser which literally is the double of the original's bowser's size possesed by the king boo, king boo, and many others just to save people that he love.
@MrBlitzardo21 right! Luigi’s not a coward! Being brave isn’t about not having any fear, it’s about pushing past it and getting things done *despite* the fear! And that’s what Luigi does!
Also fun fact: King Boo's obsession with turning his enemies into paintings is a reference to Jabba the Hut, keeping Han Solo encased in carbonite as his "favorite decoration".

What I like about the Luigi's Mansion series is the character development both Luigi and King Boo has. Luigi gets more and more confident as each game progresses. King Boo never saw Luigi as a threat in the first game, was blinded by rage in the second and in this one finally decides to take Luigi seriously like he did Mario in the first game only for Hellen and her staff to make the same mistake he made in the first game. King Boo even becomes aware of this too which is why he took Peach's portrait and destroyed E.Gadd's Lab after Luigi defeated Hellen and rescued Mario.

I really like how King Boo is in this game, honestly. Maybe it's just me, but I always love when the villain's main goal is simply to take out the hero. King Boo is absolutely sick of Luigi and it's easy to see, especially at the endgame.

I kinda feel like Rad is the Luigi to Ant's Mario, the emotion and expression is all on Nitro Rad's end.

I personally liked the fights against polterkitty. However, I didn't exactly welcome the fact that you had to do what was basically polterpup's missions in LMDM

Actually fighting ghost cat was fine, but chasing him all around the damn place was... less fine. Cat was put in for the 4 people who actually liked the Polterpup missions in 2.

to be honest I like that the combat is easier, i'm playing with my mom and she has a lot of difficulty on learning the switch controls but she learned pretty quick with Luigi's Mansion

I understand but for me who played the all game in solo the combat feels boring after a certain amount of time. I played the first and 2nd game so much time that the combat mechanic is not a problem for me. Although I really enjoy the special ghost but I was just playing and waiting until I fought them

I've always appreciated how genuine Luigi's fear seemed the games. Especially in Luigi's Mansion 3. It makes the atmosphere that much more convincing.
You didn't show that Mario scene when he was flexing on Luigi heading to the final boss
All I could think of through that scene was Luigi being like "Come on bro, you know I can't do all these fancy tricks with a vaccuum strapped to my back wait up!"

This is a fine review but I would like to know if there are cutscenes abound with a ton of minor voice acting.
Basically, there are a lot of cutscenes. The Intro cutscenes, followed by Luigi's encounter with a group of ghosts, followed by Egad, followed by all the variations of boss cutscenes and Luigi picking up an elevator button, followed by Luigi eventually putting the buttons back in. In short, there's a fuckton of short cutscenes and a few actually semi-long cutscenes.
Short answer: *yes*
Long answer: There are cutscenes abound with a ton of minor voice acting.
There's about an hour and thirty minutes worth of it. I hope you look forward to it!!
Honestly the coop for me was the best part. The fact that most of the game is puzzle based and gooigi being able to come back to life meant that I never felt like the coop was a liability.
I'm just glad that it's canon that Luigi kept Polter-pup as a pet

@@billychilly4740 there is a lot of BLACK in the first game, and some rooms are straight up blackout black too (you can see only what you shine your light on), specially after the boos cut out the electricity of the mansion and there are fewer sources of light too. It's not about the color or brightness themselves, and more about how the mansion looks

But if you turn down the darkness slider then there are areas that are completely black, as for the feeling of the original mansion, Thats just something you have to get over, and as long as you enjoy the game, then what's the point of complaining. Games are meant to be fun.. If you don't let yourself enjoy the game because your nitpicky, then why play the game?

Seeing Mario interact with Poulterpup and Peach looking proud of Luigi's accomplishments does so much for Luigi's character and relationships in what looks like a mainline Mario game, but with Luigi, as just as this spin-off series was meant to feel! Luigi: No longer in the backseat!...except literally, while on the bus, because he is a quiet kind of person like that.

This game seems to have retconned that aspect.
(spoilers below this point)
At the end when the regular ghosts stop being malicious towards Luigi and co due to the jewel on King Boo's crown disappearing they don't get pupils in their eyes either. It's never really explained how King Boo's jewel allowed him to control the ghosts (and it's not clear if that influence also affected the boss ghosts, though maybe not since Helen in the ending is still showing affection towards King Boo when they're imprisoned so maybe the boss ghosts were simply acting on individual interests, especially since Morty alone shows not all of the boss ghosts were actively malicious towards the living), but it's not like deep lore is something Luigi's Mansion ever needed.

Honestly, every single cutscen I doubted it wasn't pre-rendered graphics, because it looks so good, and so clean, and so visually pleasing
The artwork on the computer monitor at 0:58 is Awesome!
I really adore the animation in this game, it's wonderful! I feel as if the switch is ushering a new era of animation to Nintendo games, nice refined and fun animations. You can almost see an evolution, starting off from odyssey, heading into smash ultimate, and now it's within luigi's mansion.
Ooh, taking friendly pot shots at NitroRad? Nice. On a serious note: you’re both great in different ways.
I personally don't mind if the idea of King Boo trapping everyone in portraits returns. Maybe just a little spin.
The low health beeping drowning out the music could represent Luigi's anxiety because I know with my anxiety sometimes everything around me gets drowned out and I can only feel my heart beating a lot until I get it under control.
What perfect a perfect time I literally just finished the game.
I love the "rivalry" I guess you could call it with Nitro Rad. The little nods every now and again are pretty entertaining.

I adored this game! I’d say it was completely worth the 6 year wait that myself waited for!
One of my favorite things that h didn't mention was how King Boo just gets progessively more and more angry as you go through the mansion. It's hilarious to me, for some reason, I feel like he's the kind of person that would break his controller, if you catch my drift.
That jingle that plays at the beginning of his videos just puts me at ease.
If they make a fourth game, they need to bring back undead Bowser.

I hate how everyone trashes dark moon. It may not be a great sequel, but on it's own, it's goddamn fantastic!
