12:24 "I do try to avoid stopping at the reds if I can avoid it, I'd rather crawl along at 5mph, I think it's better for the passengers" - I completely agree, many thanks for this approach, as a nervous passenger I do get worried sometimes when we stop especially in tunnels. Appreciate the video, interesting to see the night view too.

Having played train driving games (and posted some on RUclips myself!) I have heard it's also harder with some trains to get going from a cold stop, especially uphill. So you are usually advised to go slowly from a yellow instead if just pulling up and stopping. Of course, sometimes scenario makers force you to rush freight services for some god-awful reason and make things harder for yourself...

At your point about other varieties of filming, I totally understand why you can't do this "headcam" thing. We're lucky enough to have this content that you make already and for me at least it's perfectly satisfactory. I use the Picc semi-regularly and when the new trains come in I'll be using it a lot more as I capture the changeover in rolling stock with my photo camera, it's awesome to see what the driver does. Being a Train Op with the Underground is one of my ultimate dream jobs. Brilliant video as always Dale, I always look forward to watching them.

Hello from Canada! I've seen a few of your videos now, and while I'm sure many an every day Londoner wouldn't understand, I appreciate you making them. I've been to the UK many times and some of my fondest memories of London are riding around on the tube. The sights and sounds in your videos bring me back, which is nice, as both of my grandfathers were born in the UK, so I see it as kind of a second home.
I have a question if you know the answer and ever have time to answer it either in comment or video. Sorry if it's been answered already. I haven't come across it yet, and maybe it's obvious (not to me), but why do some trains spark with electricity underneath on the rails? The train at 6:35 for instance does it a bit. Your train must be doing it at 1:03:56 or so. Thanks!

There is a speed control train stop about 3/4 of the way down the platform at Leicester sq e/b for that reason. Arnos w/b has a draw up and one at T5. I’m sure there are more but can’t thing off the top of my head

How does the layout work at Finsbury Park? As when you head east or west you always meet the Victoria line on one track each. Is the east and west on different levels or spread out wide?

You do a great job Dale. Just to say that i suffer with claustrophobia & anxiety.
It gets bad when a train stops in tunnels between stations.
I really appreciate it when the driver tells us over the intercom what's happening. A couple of minutes can feel like an eternity down there.
Thanks again for the job drivers & staff do.

@@dalecharmantravels8057 It's so much better when a real driver tells you what is really happening than the stupid recorded announcements you get on the S Stock - "We're waiting for a platform" or something similar. Yes I know we're waiting for a platform, I want to know why!

Another fascinating cab ride. Love it. Just wondering how you get home. Let's say you drive from your home to Cockfosters at the start of your shift. What happens when you stable a train at the end of your shift and it's a long way from where you parked ? Sorry if that sounds nosey. Just curious, cos I assume you don't always have the luxury of starting and ending your shift at the same station.

There are only 4 stations ( 3 after 2230) that we don’t stop at and they are all in one section. So it’s easy to remember where you should and shouldn’t be stopping

According to the interwebs, you could power your GoPro from a power bank (external usb battery) if it's a hero black 5 through to 12. Might help save time with rushing a battery change. Please check the manual tho. Internet has been wrong before haha. Kind regards, Si.
