Been there! I took the early bullet train from London, spent the whole day touring the grounds & house. Had lunch, returned to London on the afternoon train. Highly recommend.

It's a stunning place isn't it! I definitely plan on going back and spending more time there. Sounds like you had a lovely day 😃

@@DinglehopperDiaries I would visit again absolutely. There was a wonderful outdoor art installation, and I could spend an hour just in the inside sculpture gallery. I also enjoyed cruising through the green houses. The train ride from/back to London was very enjoyable as well.

So spectacular, they certainly had grandeur in mind when they constructed it 😊

They sure did! One of the most luxurious, detailed and beautiful places I've visited so far!

All of these places scare me. I could not sleep there. Thanks Vincent Price.

It's a spectacular thing to behold but I'll just ask is there any comfort rooms adjacent to the building?

By a comfort room do you mean like a quiet room? I can't say I noticed any but that's not to say they don't have them I may just have missed any. I would contact them before a visit to check. Sorry if this isn't what you meant! If not let me know 🙂

Oh my lord my family use to own thousands of acres of land. Wish we still did

Wow! Bet that was amazing. I often think when walking round estates how awesome it would be to have all that land to enjoy every day!

You walk right in front of a statue of Egyptian Goddess Sekmet and call it South African. I guess technically it's North African(Egyptian).😮

You're absolutely right this is a depiction of an Egyptian goddess. However the piece itself isn't Egyptian, it's made by an artist that is South African and so its South African not Egyptian that's what I was referring to...the artwork itself. I can see how it could come across as me saying that she isn't Egyptian though...my bad!
