- I haven't made one of these in a long time! Our No.59 Natural veg tan trucker long wallet used to be a cult favorite for a few denim heads out there but we never sold quite enough to keep them going. But I decided to throw on a GoPro and make a few of them up and get the pattern up for you to try out as well. Enjoy:)

I can't decide between edge dye and edge paint. What's your preferred edge method?
I've tried both and found using edge paint looks nice, it also seems to last longer.
This dye widely used in Japan and other craftsmen. I see Korean craftsmen use Italian made Fenice edge paint. here is the link to see. This guy sells with the shipping price, but if you buy other stuff from other sellers in Japan, it cost 5-6 dollars, plus shipping.www.etsy.com/ca/listing/805370344/kyoshin-elle-leathercraft-acrylic?gpla=1&gao=1&&CjwKCAiAv4n9BRA9EiwA30WND5fMxcNBOMpBLWXmeJvCF6ETPB8_wOJmT-BmnPn9grk9knh1p2ZxTRoC0gYQAvD_BwE_k_&gclid=CjwKCAiAv4n9BRA9EiwA30WND5fMxcNBOMpBLWXmeJvCF6ETPB8_wOJmT-BmnPn9grk9knh1p2ZxTRoC0gYQAvD_BwE
instablaster.
You always do a good job. So nice to see a young man teach an old leather smith new ways. Don't know about the cord on lanyard though. Anyway blessings on you and your family.🤠
Thanks Tom:) I made a couple friends some long wallets with these lanyards about 6 years ago and the cord is still going strong.
a perfect work and a cool wallet, thank you for your sharing.
Always enjoy your videos!
Thanks Gary!
Another great video. I have the edge dye markers and I wont go back! Also have a Cobra Class 26 on its way. All because of yours and LKG's vids. Thanks for the inspiration!
That's great man! Let me know how you like the class 26. Thanks for the kind words and support:)
Thanks for the video Parker. The wallet looks really nice. I know what you mean, Buckle guy just seems to have the edge at the moment. Hope you, Whitney and Kids keeping well.
Thanks Paul!
6:00 When that happens to me, rather than take a chance that the needle won't go through correctly, I remove the stitches then hand sew with an awl. Nothing worse than having to replace the whole panel. When it comes to dye vs. edge paint, I do both. The leather paints are really great these days, but they always eventually wear away. When it does, if the leather underneath is near the same color, the customer will be happier for longer. Probably won't even notice. Cut, sand, bevel, dye, slight burnish to get those fibers down, prime then paint. UNITERS makes a really good edge primer I use consistently. I also find the primer makes colors more vivid. Good stuff brother. Keep up the great content.
Yeah it's really not too hard to re-stitch it. You can always just walk it with the wheel if you want to be real careful but handstitching always works too:) Uniters. is great stuff, thanks for the kind words and support!
nice video. i like the narration style.
missed these videos!
Thanks:) Trying to get back to 1 a week
@@whitandpark Looking forward to it my man!
Your mistakes makes us feel better when we mess. Another great video!
haha glad to hear that. It still hurts;)
May I ask who is making the clicker dies for you? Thanks!
Your no 2 Palosanto puts a smaller bevel? I'm looking into getting a no 0 from Weaver here soon because my no 2 from Tandy is too beveled for smaller things as you were saying. Would that no 0 be okay do you think? Comparable at least in size to your Pal no 2?
I haven't seen anyone else ask, so I'll ask.
Where do you get your dies made for the clicker press??
Awesome job! So pretty!!!! But I wish you could make darker color.
How much for this wallet without the lanyard? And where can I purchase? My old biker wallet is on its last leg and I've been looking for a new one.im real picky and this wallet is awesome 😎👍
I do like this and am tempted to get the template download, might proofread the description though as I would gather this would be intended for bikers and hotroders among others and not as just a women's wallet. A modification I would do is instead of leather for the strap I would do either paracord or chainmail in round mail or byzantine style with clips on both ends. I have a byzantine style chain on my own truckers wallet that was made with bright aluminum 16ga. 1/4" i.d. rings and using a smallish stainless latching hook on both ends
Thanks for pointing that out. I quickly copy and pasted the description from our women’s wallet template before the video went up and didn’t catch that. It’s definitely a trucker or biker wallet, just fixed it, thanks for the heads up!
Anyone know where to get that double sided tape?
Amazing💕😍
Thank you!
Digging that hook.
yeah they're cool!
Palosanto really is tops
I use a GoPro on my head as well on my channel lol Nice POV
haha thanks Gary! Might use it a little more, it was fun:)
Can you make more videos with maker pov
Excelente 👍👍👍
Thanks Julian:)
Really clean, Parker I love your work. I truly do, but mannnn, that shot at 11:16 of the stitching kills me. If only it was hand stitched it wouldn't look like that. Either way, the natural leather looks grand.
I 100% disagree with you. But that's fine. I don't think it looks bad at all and from what i've learned about our customers, most people aren't bothered by it or even notice a difference between a hand stitch and a machine stitch. But by all means, keep hand stitching your projects if that's what you love
No it’s fair enough, I did see a video about your best selling vertical wallet and the vote about hand vs machine stitched for a cheaper cost so I understand. I’ve only ever saddle stitched and I just love the slanted stitch on both sides.
I would clip the hook to the wallet
are you going to sell the wallet as well?
I have about 4 of them finished that i'll add to the site soon:)
@@whitandpark "ve been looking for awile so 'll keep my eye out, thank you!
I want this wallet too! The rule for the amount of wallets needed is the same as mountain bikes, right? N+1 so you can always justify buying more.
Great work! I love your work and channel!
Привет из Казахстана. Отличная работа с кожей.
Any class to learn how to work with leather. I want to start learning.
I don't have a class yet, but you can find a lot of videos all over youtube that are free. I'll be working on a leatherworking class in the future though. I've had a lot of requests
Just bought my first leather belt kit and dye today. Thanks your videos motivate me. I think I found a new hobby. Lol
Vraiment top!!?
"Local supplier" Smith and edwards? Lol
Exactly! I basically live there
