+Harry777 Primarily because it was bad for mana curve (would've floated a crystal). Playing the 6 (8/8 worth of stats) + fireblast (1/1 of stats) gave him way more stats on the board (9/9 vs 6/8) and he didn't need a big taunt just then. Secondarily because he still wasn't 100% sure the opponent didn't have Keeper of Uldaman, and Trump so scared of that card.
+Aj Koorstra sorry for the expression but that stupid as fuck. just as the guy at the top said, is nothing important, just watch the video in full-screen without touching anything if you get so annoyed by that
Never ever ever ever EVER let a paladin keep something on board early on. Flame Juggler was the only real play that turn. It might not of hit, no, but it could of won you the game.
+LaZodiac I must disagree with that: It's actually safer to let a paladin keep a board turn 1-2 than turn 3-5. The strongest paladin buffs are Blessing of Kings and Seal of Champions, so you mostly play around those. Also, it depends a great deal on what the board is. - so if you have Arcane Missiles and your opponent just coin-Mustered, it's might be safer not to clear (especially if your hand suggests aggression, and/or if you have high-health taunts for turn 4). I agree with that specific situation though - If the opponent was counting on turn 3 Seal, you more or less win outright if you hit Flame Juggler, which is a high-chance scenario. And, of course, the situation that happened (however unlikely Coghammer turn 3 is, with it being an epic and the opponent only drawing 6 cards total) is generally less bad if he Flame Juggled.
So Arena is always wild but no C'thun. Pretty good to know. Honestly a lot of useless cards that only exist for a single theme should be exiled from Arena. C'thun cards on average are usually good without C'thun.
+lordguy5 Paladins usually have a lot of absurd buff cards so that's a solid move. Although I do abuse that mindset and make an all paladin deck so most trades are in my favor but that isn't in meta so it's not that big a problem.
I don't know why you keep misusing the term 'fast' and 'slow' plays Trump, it confuses people. 21:12 is another example, doing the brewmaster play is the fast play there because it affects the board immediately, the 5-2-2 play was the slower play but it nets you better power on the board. Not sure why you keep using the term slow for everything that impacts the board worse than the alternative play, even when the term doesn't apply.
I guess in that case he meant in terms of tempo. there's the speed of tempo and then there's "fast/slow" in terms of how long they take to affect the board. There should really be more words to differentiate the different meanings
"Affects the board immediately" but in a negative way! For that reason, even the traditionally slow play of playing a minion is better than returning one in terms of tempo.
+Nico if he goes for the brewmaster-bomb lobber play, it means he pays 9 mana for 5/4 body with battlecry: deal 4 damage to a random minion and 3 to enemy hero. that is really, really slow compared to the 5-2-2 play that develops 8/12 worth of stats + 1 random dmg
Mark Robinson That's what I was saying. It's not about which play was better, his play was better clearly because it gives him better board in the end. But the term used is misleading, Ghifari Rahadian You're talking about two different terms, fast play and power play. Fast play does not necessarily mean the best play, it's just affects the board fast/faster. By your logic any 'best' play is a 'fast' play. Trump uses the word 'fast' for almost everything nowadays, no matter what the actual impact to the board is, as long as he sees it as a better play.
+Nico I don't think he's "misusing" the term, but I agree it can be confusing using fast/slow to refer to both cards and tempo. You can have fast/slow cards (i.e. cards that immediately impact the board and ones that take a turn) and fast/slow tempo (i.e. developing the board quickly (often at the cost of value) or slowly (often gaining additional value)). The brewmaster play is slow for tempo despite bomb lobber being a fast card.
TwiCaCaX Apparently this game plan originated from magic. But magic did this after the release of several more packs than what Hearthstone currently has. And while the idea of a huge exodus of expansions within a single year to replace the lost expansions would be. That would be a balancing nightmare (I mean it's already a balancing nightmare as wild mode is an excuse to never balance cards that aren't classic). Hopefully my information is wrong and it's one expansion each year. Even then losing expansions from this point on is losing what were slower expansions and more fair cards.
TwiCaCaX most would stop playing arena, if that were. the case. Why on earth would I play arena if I got useless GvG packs? I do thing TGT and Classic wouldn't be bad though
Hey Trump dont drink bottled water! Making bottles to meet America’s demand for bottled water uses more than 17 million barrels of oil annually, enough to fuel 1.3 million cars for a year1. And that’s not even including the oil used for transportation. The energy we waste using bottled water would be enough to power 190,000 homes. Last year, the average American used 167 disposable water bottles, but only recycled 38.3 Americans used about 50 billion plastic water bottles last year. However, the U.S.’s recycling rate for plastic is only 23 percent, which means 38 billion water bottles - more than $1 billion worth of plastic - are wasted each year. The recommended eight glasses of water a day, at U.S. tap rates equals about $.49 per year; that same amount of bottled water is about $1,400. Antimony, which is found in PET plastic bottles, in small doses can cause dizziness and depression; in larger doses it can cause nausea, vomiting and death.
Blizzard proven to be an objectively better card.... hipster trump insist on being hipster "lets pick kodo"... series shows that picking kodo was a mistake.... "variants".... Yet another reason why Trump is an average player at best compared to other competitive hs players.
+Daniel Fonda if you do the math, getting 7 wins in arena means that you are on top 5% of the whole arena runners. If you are that good, then you should start streaming
13:50 Steven hawkings
LOL
XD
That's fucked up man.
I laughed though. :(
"I need to draw very specific sets of cards."
You mean, Blizzard? Oh, wait...
"It's all fun and games until someone gets executed" - Trump, 2014, May 5
that "By the Holy Light!" got me so good, oh my god. 17:20
What did the bone guard lieutenant say to his friends when he got home from a party? Greetings from beyond the rave.
Astounding
By the Holy Light!
" no need to use the fast card against a class that is all about buffing small minions" *silverhand recruit gets buffed twice*
Well that's what he gets for picking kodo over blizzard.
This channel was on my recommended videos so I was like umm... Donald trump has a youtube account? but it was just this great hearthstone guy lol
Kodo over blizzard *cough cough*
"If I could have, I would have. But I can't, so I won't" Trump A.D 2016
By the holy light, that paladin was annoying.
All paladins are annoying.. and i feel bad saying that since i used to main him :)
8:24 that cough :D some secrets here. Btw. GG's!
At 13:50 I would of used fireblast and played both Loot Hoarders. I would of been sad when the paladin played Scarlet Purifier.
+CustomMap You would "have" used, and you would "have" been sad.
I wonder how that last game would've played if Trump played Flame Juggler on turn 2....
That game was disgusting
+Xombii would still lose.
Hmmm, 3 loses, all against Paladin
I'M NOTICING A FUCKING DIRE PATTERN HERE
Paladin master race
+SpankAss I'm not thrilled about Arena being Wild. A lot of that is that Paladins are stupidly OP again.
+Warclam I thought they'd do wild and standard modes for both ranked and arena. Too bad :(
BY THE HOLY LIGHT
I agree - New players will be like What Are Those!!! When they meet the wild mode, and are used to play in Standard =/
15:15 I'm baffled that he didn't play the Bog Creeper there.
+Harry777 paladin has a lot of cards that can deal with that though
+Harry777
Primarily because it was bad for mana curve (would've floated a crystal). Playing the 6 (8/8 worth of stats) + fireblast (1/1 of stats) gave him way more stats on the board (9/9 vs 6/8) and he didn't need a big taunt just then.

When i saw kodo over blizzard...I knew that last scene was happened eventually...
It think it would be cool to have those anti-spoiler endings on these videos, pls Jens?
+Aj Koorstra it's not a tournament
I know but it bugs me because it takes the tension out of at least 70% of the matches.
+Aj Koorstra What do you mean by anti-spoiler endings? Like if someone skips to the end of the video and doesn't want to be spoiled? O.o
Val N. Tine
no I mean when he's like 4-2 and there's 30 minutes left of the video I know he doesn't lose the game im watching (unless it the last one)
+Aj Koorstra sorry for the expression but that stupid as fuck. just as the guy at the top said, is nothing important, just watch the video in full-screen without touching anything if you get so annoyed by that
Picks kodo over blizzard then losses 3 games by having kodo instead of blizzard. XD
+FrostFireFalcon really dumb decision
+Zeno Munoz Santana even so kodo is rated higher on some really good player's tierlists because it's easier to use
I forgot this was arena one minute into the video and couldn't figure out how you had 3 Loot Hoarders lol
Trump was destined to lose that first game...
Are they going to keep all the cards in the expansions that have rotated out available in Arena forever?
+San Kokonattsu arna will be wild format with standard rewards for the time being (2 years atleast)

Trump, for this next tavern brawl, where you can only have two cards, you must try innervate and y'sharrj. it is perfect.
Didn't trump have kodo in his hand everytime he wanted blizzard? or did he only mention the lack of blizzard because the kodo was there?
I think it's because it's a controversial pick and he wanted to keep track of how it went.
So Arena is always wild but no C'thun. Pretty good to know. Honestly a lot of useless cards that only exist for a single theme should be exiled from Arena. C'thun cards on average are usually good without C'thun.
+Oda Swifteye the weird thing is you can still discover c'thun cards, you just cant draft them
All the times he lost....was to a pally. Feelsbadman
By the Holy Light!
+TheFireflyGrave Justice Demands Retribution!
Did he gave up on the Trump Cards series...?
ah yes, the paladin, trump's greatest weakness.
I have a simple mindset when vs pallys, Always take out there guys, and I win alot of games I do that.
+lordguy5 Paladins usually have a lot of absurd buff cards so that's a solid move. Although I do abuse that mindset and make an all paladin deck so most trades are in my favor but that isn't in meta so it's not that big a problem.
Trading, next level tactics
Amazing..
+Ivan Green That's incredible!
+Ivan Green by the holy light!
Wow......

Sextraordinary

Can we get an updated arena list link?
+FourArmedGaming You mean tier list?
Semyon Galtsev yes. apologies if i was unclear.
FourArmedGaming Trump hasn't updated his for ages. You may want to check out HearthArena's: www.heartharena.com/tierlist
thanks
TIL that nerubian prophet is a pretty good arena card
make sure you keep it in you opening hand. 3 mana 4/4 !
InfernoIrfan or a 0 mana 4/4 on turn 6 :D
Oh man, a blizzard would be good right now!
when are we gonna start getting not the old god packs?
+TwiCaCaX A month in a half? Maybe when the next adventure comes in? Tomorrow?
When the next card pack expansion gets released. So prolly 8 months
Oda Swifteye oh no seriously? I hope they do something about it so we have equal chance of getting the classic/tgt/gbg/wotog packs :(

*Trump goes 7-3*
*Still got more gold than my last 3 arena matches in where i went 10-3 on two of them*
: /
+asldkjf123 That's because you got dust or cards then.

"pakka pakka"
C'mon Trump, you're playing against a paladin. You ALWAYS need fast answers. Too many buffs.
sea giant had to be nerfed
No
The new arena consists so many toxic combo (4mana 77???? +2 for trogg???) that I just simply gave up the game
q.q i lost a game earlier in arena due to stand against darkness into quartermaster
*Stand against the dankness.
he had three loot hoarders what
Trump should do a hunter constructed vid comment if you agree
yeah Im annoyed from this slow decks
Surprised he even got to 7 with some of the terrible picks and plays he made this run. Impressive nonetheless; good show!
666 likes... coincidence? I think not
why you have 3 same cards in a deck? maybe, a deck has under 2 same cards.
+phijix kurara It's Arena, decks are not limited to 2 copies.
+SirOlrox oh.yes! I forgot it. thank you!
phijix kurara np
And more proof Trump cant run mage.
+JAckh45 You say it like 7 wins is really bad or something lol
Kappa.... That is all.
I was searching Donald Trump.
Hate him anyway lol.
it doesnt feel the same to watch his videos anymore. he is making so many questionable choices and isnt even trying anymore
The never bm of trump irritates me sometimes.
+Laszlo Mavilia He does, but usually only for a finisher by playing something interesting...though it IS rare.
blizzard
5st
3st
Blizzard proven to be an objectively better card.... hipster trump insist on being hipster "lets pick kodo"...
series shows that picking kodo was a mistake.... "variants"....
Yet another reason why Trump is an average player at best compared to other competitive hs players.
you say that, but according to his arena stats hes almost got the 7 wins per run average hafu has xD
+Nujum Key (Hearthstone & Let's Plays) 7 wins is pretty bad doe...hell I get 7w average
Daniel Fonda 7 wins is... significantly above average. If you have stats for that, post it on the reddit and get free views lol
+Nujum Key (Hearthstone & Let's Plays) and here I am frustrated by the fact that I cannot consistantly reach 10 and above lol
+Daniel Fonda if you do the math, getting 7 wins in arena means that you are on top 5% of the whole arena runners. If you are that good, then you should start streaming
arena is so much more boring than ladder.
to watch that is..
+Ivar Nyman No way. Ladder is boring because you can usually predict what the opponent will play. In arena every turn is a surprise!
