This arena just strengthen the fact that Ragnaros the Firelord has always been and will always be my favorite card. the fun factor is just off the roof. I hope the Lightlord variant turns out to be just as strong.

you get a legandary in each arena run... I get 1 in 10 maybe. And than i have the choice between millhouse, cho and leroy jankins xD
+opedone 1 in 10 I feel is actually still pretty often. I had about maybe 10 legendaries (if even) in 1 and a half year of playing. Trump had more in the last 10 runs....
He only posts the interesting arena runs, he's gotten quite a few on stream that were very *yawn*
+fulltime4545 But how much do you play? 1 in 10 sounds pretty average. Sometimes you get one in 30, sometimes you get 5 over two arena runs after each other.

I play mostly Arena, except the time between a new announcement (Set or adventure) and its actual appearance (saving money for new cards there). Anytime else on average one arena run per day.

So let me get this straight - one of the popular Hearthstone players gets Ragnaros as a Legendary card pick in Arena? Of course he does. Oh and the first four games he get's Ragnaros dealt to him so that he can be played (and planned for) on turn 8? Of course he does. And he get's dealt hands that offer options for a curve, so to speak, rather than the end of his deck first? Of course he does.

But seriously though, always enjoyable to watch Trump gloat when he's winning :)
15:00 If it's Ice Block, then playing nova is just wasting a useless card. Doesn't matter - and you don't need the extra 3 power on the board from the Kodo. If it's barrier, then insta-win. Nova first was totally the best play.

19:10 why not heal the amani then attack? either way you're saving 1 total health on the ogre(possibly losing 2 if he goes face), but then the amani hits for 3 less anyway. It's a gain of 1-5 health regardless of the attack result.

Rob GG how is SOS bad? the body is pretty solid, you can trade up well as well as put more distance between you and ur opponents in late game

If commando were a 4/3 do do you think it would be played? Or still too expensive?
+heavyarms55 there's no reason to play commando unless it's unreasonably over-statted, I think. If we make it a 4 mana 3/4 with battlecry deal 2 it will probably see constructed play, but it's possible it still wouldn't. At 5 mana it would have to be at least a 5/3 to see constructed play, I think.
That's gotta be the worst possible play at 25:40. Gave up a 3/6 for free just to play a power word shielded Coliseum Manager that he cannot heal. But at least he played on curve.

I think the decks biggest weakness is the non-optimal curve (barely any 4-drops, no 6-drops and way too many 2s/3s. No way this is going 12.

So I was doing really well at the beginning of the game with my "Basic Mage" deck, until I decided to change it. That went horribly as I deleted all my cards, and replaced them with a terrible deck. Can someone please tell me what cards are in the basic, first deck you unlock for Mage in the game? Thanks! Also the old board control trump teaching vids have an outdated version of the basic Mage deck. When I look up something like, "Basic starter deck you get at the beginning of game hearthstone," I only get vids about great starting hands, which I have tried! I am a level 11 Mage so there's that. Thanks again, but I think I'm hopeless

Maybe you should something less wordy, like 'Hearthstone basic Mage deck'.
Also, when you go to 'Play' mode, there is a tab at the bottom of the deck selection screen that says 'Custom Decks'. It should have an arrow, that when clicked, should bring up the basic decks for every class. Hope this helps.

Pickin Colliseum Manager over anything is such an alien concept to me. I have a really strong hatred for that card. I don't even know why, it's not the worst tgt card (coughdemonfusecough) but I find it infuriatingly awful. Not great stats for the cost? Check. Inspire effect that's not worth it? Check. Effect that id basically a downside masquerading as an upside? Check. Why does this card even exist?

The thing is tough that Latin words ending on er-, -or, and -os, and therefore Ragnaros are generally formed like the masculine model of the third conjugation (Rex). The nominative plural of Ragnaros would be Ragnares if anything :)

Picking cobra over Excavated Evil is almost always a wrong pick, and the game that Trump played cobra, EE would've been much better for him. You could make an argument for picking EE over bomb lobber as well, since at that point in the draft, Trump had no AOE. EE is probably one of the most underrated picks in Arena.
by getting excavated evil youre giving your opponent a chance to control the board, and it hurts all minions, so i think i couldve preffered the amani berzerker over the excavated evil

+REALABB Bomb lobber is a reasonable pick. EE would've been a comparable pick, and it would've been much better than cobra. The downside is really unlikely (It's comparable to the downside of ancient shade which is a fairly good arena card), and can actually be good in certain match-ups where it's a dead card for the opponent.
