Yes you have to walk in purpose. I'm 37 and want to be with someone who is after God's own heart. It does seem like they are not alot of single Christian men. I've gotten comfortable with the fact that it could be God's purpose for my life to be much older when He reveals that person or that I'm not supposed to be marry. I know that is scary to someone in their 20s who maybe seeing their friends getting married and wondering when that will happen for you but that's not all life is. You have to enjoy and live for yourself. Yes, marriage is a gift from God but it's not His only gift or the ultimate one!

I wouldn't advise anyone to marry someone they're not attracted to. Yeah, we know sex and romance is only a part of marriage, but it is a part of marriage. And it's the part of the marriage that lets you sleep in the same bed and make babies. So, please, for heaven's sake, don't marry someone you're not attracted to. This was really great! I loved the advice to the woman who was in a marriage where she didn't feel spiritually led. I'm not married but I am learning the power of allowing people their process of growth. Praying diligently for their salvation, not nagging them to be who you think they should be, that drives anyone further away. The Lord wants their salvation more than you do.

Adam didn't want Eve he needed Eve. When we realise our wants will only led us to go for who we desire and not who God gives us then we know we are taking away his privilege to bring to us according to our needs and take the glory at the end.
Marriage is a vital part in our purpose and walk with God and not something to be regarded as physical but completely spiritual.

I wanted to comment on the last girls question/comment about there being no christian men out there. I felt the same. And I like everyone else had an idea or standard of what I wanted my husband to be. Let me tell you sis, as soon as I was content and willing to live my life with Christ alone my husband showed up in my life. He was not what I thought my husband would be - at all - but my God, His ways are higher than mine! He's 16 years older than me and was a full time dad young daughter. But he is the most beautiful man i've ever met. His heart for Jesus is the same and more as mine. He's attractive and everything God knew I needed. Equally yolked. And I get to love him every day the way he loves me and every day he brings me closer to Jesus. Seek first HIS kingdom and all these things will be added! Don't get caught up in your own desires selfishness and judgement. God knows and God will provide your husband if only you let Him do His perfect work in you and trust His timing and ways.

Wait on God sis! This was my story. My husband wasn’t spiritual. He denounced Christ, he was abusive, cheated, not a consistent father. I wanted to leave, but I kept being led back to that scripture. So I held on I prayed harder for him. Eventually he came to me and said he was leaving ME, and moved out. I was crushed! After all that. But then God led me to the scripture that if the unbelieving spouse departs from you, you are no longer in bondage because He has called you to live in peace. I have my peace now and I’m accepting my part and focusing on God and my son now.

Sis is 24 saying she’s ready to lay her life down to be married . Desiring marriage isn’t a bad thing at all, but how do you know you’re ready ? What defined readiness for marriage ? Are you measuring your readiness by some natural standard ? For all you know there’s a whole lot God may be still desiring to strip you of or even your future spouse . It’s “the wait” because you’re waiting on God. You may feel ready but none of that serves as a signal to God that now is the time for Him to move on our behalf with a husband. He’s never gonna be sure later if he doesn’t know early on. He knows that you possess the wife qualities he is looking for early on or that you don’t.

To my sister being tempted to leave her husband for someone more compatible . This is a slippery slope sis. The enemy has taken away your ability to see your husband with empathy as a soul and now he has convinced you that HE is the problem. What if His SALVATION was hinged upon your 1 Cor 13 stance in this time ? These “spiritual “ men have A WHOLE LOT OF ISSUES sis. The images we see of Christian marriages fool us into thinking these marriages are perfect but that’s far from reality . I know prophets who beat their wives , worship leaders who cheat , and leaders who lack love for others. The point is be careful that the enemy sends you a spiritual man whose heart is far from the Lord. COMPARISON KILLS. Whatever is feeding comparison and corrupting your thoughts I pray you close those doorways shut , get on your knees, and begin to WAR for your husband’s HEART. In that process God will begin to change yours as well. God bless you!
