why dont you look to your own brand, make the blue batteries compatable with the green tools, im a professional AND private user, there are some bosch green tools i want for home that i can't justify buying because of the different battery platform.

How about making a reasonable priced cordless riveter like the milwaukee m12.. a cordless riveter is very handy in my sector but £700 for the bosch one is outrageous when milwaukee make one for £200.

Great to have battery sharing between brands, but why still prevent sharing between bosch profesional (blue) and and Bosch DIY (green) how dumb is that?🤬

Bosch Cordless tools in North America are high quality but limited in selection compared to every other major brand. I have had to go from Bosch to Milwaukee due to lack of selection for my needs.

    Dear Bosch,
I vote for baterry standard since years so it is great it happened.
I own multitool from you with 18V akku purchased in June 2022. Unfortunately there is no AMP- SHARE logo on it.
    So please confirm:
Can I use this akku with old blue series but not with new AMP SHARE tools?
But when I purchase AMP SHARE aku I will can use it with my current multitool, (2022) with current garden tools as well as with other brand tools, right?

Hi Nocny, any PROCore or CoolPack battery from Bosch will work with the new AMPSHARE system. The logo is only for marketing purposes. There's been no change to the battery technology within the batteries themselves. Please be aware that the Bosch Professional battery platform does not cross into Bosch Home and Garden tools.

Thanks for anwer but fact that batteries from Green doesn't fit to Blue series and vice versa is a big disadvantage in my opinion.
I am sure I would buy chainsaw or lawn mover if you could allow to use Akkus I already own.

@@BoschProfessionalUK why not all battery of a similar use, you can't set a standard and then put it in a walled garden, it only going to work with our stuff, there more complicated, but at the end of the day it a battery, and standard have been almost from the first type became available being massed produced, I think this is a great Idea, (but should been done many years back, is it a truly open standard, can anyone make something to use AMPShare battery system, from both sides, making the power tool, or the batteries them self,
and to help the standard get a foot hold, and reduce the mountain of E-waste, of people swapping, perfectly serviceable items power tools, only for the lack of a battery not fitting this new standard, could adapters not be made available, to bridge the gap, until the the natural lifespan expires of not over forcing complete swap out of full kits power tool already out in the wild

So from my interpretation new green (domestic) tools going forward will have the new Ampshare logo and thus will work with both old pro core or new “ampshare” procore. I have never understood also why pro core can’t have an adapter to work with green. Also even 18v series 6/7 vacuum cleaners for example. They need to apply this philosophy to all their products if they truly care about sustainability. As these batteries are not aesthetically pleasing to have hanging on the wall in your house they could quite easily enclose them in something that looks nice like a cover anyway. Again, it seems the reasoning things are so segregated are because of old business models. Bosch are not the only ones of course, but I think on the upside potentially the company that takes the initiative here could force all others to be standardised to their design. As we could end up with a scenario similar to government regulations being imposed to phone chargers being standardised ) a few premium brands are resisting it but the whole market is the slowly forcing their hand due to the need for sustainable products. Same should also be the case for cars but I think battery’s will be made obsolete in the near future for a far greener technology. Small appliances however will most likely need batteries so they will have their place.

    • @HoppyStar
      @HoppyStar 5 месяцев назад +1

Nope, home gamer (green) tools won’t use ampShare because Bosch would lose money either giving the Pro market cheaper batteries or losing DIY market unable to justify the high cost of batteries.
You’ll need Power4All if you’re buying the green tools.
Corporate greenwashing is alive and well here.

It's true, the batteries come from the same company, however the power requirements for the Home and Garden range vs. the Professional range are very different. It's likely that if the Pro batteries were compatible with the HG range, the tech within the HG products would have to change and the prices would naturally go up. With that being said, keep an eye out for a Pro Garden range coming very soon 😎

I have been with Bosch since 2010. I have thousands of dollars in their cordless tools. I feel ripped off because Bosch does not keep up with any other major brand with tool offerings. I have had to start buying Milwaukee tools now due to Bosch not having the selections I need.
