Hey man, I doubt you remember because this was in 2012, but I went to Charlotte, NC to see you guys for the very first time. I had been a fan for nearly a decade already, and I was just barely out of high school, so I was excited to say the least. Before the show we set down to eat at this little tiny 50's style diner, and shortly after I saw you, Cone, Tom, and a guy from your camera crew walking across the parking lot together, headed our way. You guys came in and sat at the other end of the restaurant. My friends told me I had to go say something to you guys and see if we could get a picture -- they pretty much forced me to go because I was the biggest Sum 41 fan for sure out of our group. I went over and was super nervous, I don't even remember what I said, but you all agreed and one of the ladies working at the restaurant took the photo of you, Tom, and Cone with us on my mom's old digital camera. We thanked you guys (probably awkwardly) and then ran back to our table to see how the photos were. Unfortunately I think the lady working there pressed the power button instead of the photo capture button -- so my mom's camera was just off. No photo. Again, my friends were like, you gotta go back over there. I felt horrible because I think you guys had just ordered and gotten your drinks and I didn't want to be that guy, but also, I wasn't sure if I'd ever get a chance like that again, so... I went over. I explained the situation and asked. There was a pause for a second as you guys all looked at each other, and then YOU said, "Well, this one will be even better!" and Tom and Cone seemed like they were in after that. You guys had your camera guy take the photo this time, and it turned out great. Later that night I was one of the lucky ones to be brought on-stage. Cone gave me one of his guitar picks. Tom threw some of his picks at my friends. Deryck gave me a hug. I blew my voice out. I was ecstatic. Still to this day, the most memorable concert of my life -- and I've seen blink-182, Green Day, Iron Maiden -- to name a few. My dad had been diagnosed with cancer just a few months before I went to this show. He would go on to pass away in 2014. I had also gone through the worst breakup of my life around that same time. I was really depressed at the time. That one night was a bright spot in my life that was much needed back then. I've gotten to tell Cone about this, but never got a chance to tell you. So I just wanted to say thank you for being so cool, you have no idea how something that may have been a little thing for you was something HUGE for people like me. To have that validation that my favorite band also seemed like genuinely nice people too. It meant a lot. On another note, I'd love to hear the Congo story from your perspective. Noots and Open Your Eyes are probably my favorite songs off Chuck, it was killer to hear you do this one after all these years. Take care man.
I actually vaguely remember that restaurant but I don't remember the photo... However - I'm happy we got the photo! I'm sorry to hear about your dad. I hope you're doing alright these days my man. I will do the congo story soon. Also open your eyes since it also is requested a lot. All the best to you 🤘

All the best to you 🤘
Defiantly would love to hear your version of the Congo. Seen the documentary but would love to hear more about it now in reflection 20 years later. Thanks for an awesome channel and keep up the great work.
I will do it in the next few weeks for sure .. just gotta think about it a bit to try and remember it
Genuinely surprised to hear that Noots wasn't all that popular, was one of my favourite songs growing up. Saw them a few days ago before they played it at the Wembley gig, we got the tour debut of Rythms so I'll take that as a worthy substitute ha.
Found your RUclips channel and have been going on a Sum 41 nostalgia trip for the past couple of weeks! Would love to see a video on the music video for "Makes No Difference" (and that DMX cameo).
Oh 100%! I will do that one soon!
Chuck and sum 41 was my childhood bro I listened them so much and here their still now but they we my green day
I love that this channel exists! This video makes me desperately want a video about Second Chance for Max Headroom. That's the only "Ska" sounding Sum 41 song that I've ever heard and goddamn is it good!!!
I will do that ! I forgot that that was the one with the ska bit.. I can also tell everyone what I am shouting at the beginning haha
Loved this song since I was a kid back in 2005 man, absolute legend will always be part of the sum41 legacy to me
Thanks for watching!
I'm calling it now - there will be a reunion in the future with SteveO and the OG members - as they were during their first 3 albums (AKA the best era of Sum41). No extra bloat, just the OG 4 legends and yes, it will be glorious!
Loved this song as a kid. Memories of playing my DS in my dad’s old car with this playing on the CD player. Miss those days
Hell yeah!! This is one of my favorite tracks on this album. It's got ultimate 2000s pop punk all over it 🤘
Omg it’s totally hilarious that you forgot one of your own songs. Noots is awesome!! People love hearing it - we totally care!! Whoever doesn’t care is tuned into the wrong channel, lol.
Noots is one of the best song ever written by Sum 41, I never bored listen to this song, I don’t know why 🤔.
Thanks Stevo, such a humble guy! To finally play noots live, for us🤘
Thanks for watching!
@stevo32drums they played this song in Berlin today (4th Nov 2024). It was so surreal for me to hear this because I remember watching this video when it came out and was quite surprised to hear that sum41 never played this song live before. Lo and behold, we get a massive treat from Deryck and the boys with this banger! thank you!
Ohhhh I remember, my friend!! Love this song and loved to see it here on your channel!! Cheers from Brazil!! 👊🏻🍻
Always loved this one. Thanks, 32! ❤
Thanks for playing a great deep cut, been a favourite of me and my pals since our college course.
Love from the UK 💙🇬🇧
someone in the band must have saw your video and said “hold our beers” because they just played this live in London 👏
Was there! Amazing show!
Stevo, most of your viewers know the deep cuts and love them and we do care.
Hope you'll play more tracks like these! Would love to hear Subject To Change and The Bitter End! :3
god i always wanted to see u drum this this is everything for me
Thanks for checking it out!
This is one of my absolute favorite Sum 41 songs, easily.
That's awesome - thanks for watching
I knooooow, Stevo! I searched that song live for years! And so many other amazing songs like Open your eyes!
Great track, forgot about this one. Noots was a bonus track, 88 is the last song on Chuck.
Nothing like hearing noots to breathe life back into me
Effin sick my guy! As a drummer that was my favorite song for me on the album. Appreciate you!
God, I love this song so much. ❤
Since you guys released CHUCK in 2004, Noots became my favorite Sum 41 song! THANKS FOR THIS VÍDEO 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for watching!
Hi Stevo, just taking the time to thank you for this channel, been following it since your first upload, I'm really enjoying the content, the stories, the fact that some underrated gems like Noots are actually on this channel! I was a hardcore sum41 fan growing up, I stopped following the band after screaming bloody murder, life happened; nonetheless im very happy to see one of my all time favorite drummers coming back to entertain us on his basement!
this is my favourite sum 41 song and it's always in heavy rotation, so sick to see you acknowledge it :') i felt like no one i know ever heard this song.
Awesome 🤘🤘
Noots!!!!!!! Such a great song. Subject to change is another one that needs to be done.
I will do that soon !
This is my favorite sum 41 song since I heard it on Fantastic Four around 2005 so thanks for that 🥹❤
This song was my introduction to you guys! Heard it in Fantastic Four and it’s stuck with me since
That's cool - I am amazed at how popular it is. Wish we had played it more!
This is a great song. In 2004 summer of screamo and the heavy, melodic operatic stuff alot of people were into detered me from this album because it was much heavier. But kudos to those of you who spoke up! Great song.
Cool - thanks for checking it out ! I never really got into the screamo thing so much (other than stuff like the refused) ... but hey, to each his own
Always love u Mr. Stevo ❤❤❤
might be my favorite sum 41 song for a decade
I'm surprised how many people like it! I thought, "I'm going to post this and no one will watch it" ... Shows what I know 😂
One of my favorite sum 41 songs ever...featured in the orginal fantastic four movie during the snowboarding scene with johnny storm....classic
I had the Chuck cd and listened to it on repeat a billion times. This must have been on the deluxe edition, because I've never heard it before! I like it
Glad I’m not alone haha
