A stock V6 camaro manual is quicker than the 10 spd and in this set with the added equipment its closer to 14.1 sec. I've seen them testing and in the hot summers a full sec slower. Some depts have a V8.
Awesome video, Love the lighting!!! Maybe for a future project, make the lights embedded in the headlights and brake light areas, then add little tiny LEDs around the car to give a unique undercover car. Just an idea ☺️
I've been planning on using this as a base concept for my fire POV for a while, finally got the lights ordered in and my siren system is in place. Just gotta work on the lights.
Have y’all done any more sense this video? My agency is taking deliver of a couple LT1’s this month and I’m slotted to get one. Lighting locations seem to be limited from the couple I’ve seen in person so I’m interested to see how they turn out. Maybe I’m just expecting too much because my current charger is lit up like a space ship.
Im looking into putting visor lights into my 2015 Camaro. As you probably know disability in these cars is next to none as it is. What do you think my best course of action would be? Maybe a single sided visor light on the passenger side? or on both sides? Also, brand and models to look at? Id prefer to stick with Whalen but will explore
Seriously, why the crap do new vehicles not come standard with full LED lighting. You'd think by now halogen would be more expensive to install than LEDs
What's the price range for these basic set ups? My son is buying a camero but it's a 2013 convertible. And he's looking for uc style blue/white. Volunteer Firefighter.
The dual tone F/S is much better. I just retired on 09/01/2021 as a metro Police Officer. I started in 1983, and graduated 7 months later in 1984, thus we were issued cars among 2 officers 12 hour shifts for 4 days, I never promoted above senior corporal, so I was always answering stacked calls on the MDT, and only worked patrol for 37 years. I mention this because we had over 4500 sworn officers & we probably used old light bars about 10 plus years, even in 2010 we still had about half with rotators & 6” chrome post spotlights steady burning red ,only on driver’s side, however the sirens were about 20 years old, dual tone, F/S dual 100 watt speakers on the brush-guard. So they lasted a very long time. In 84 I was issued a 1979 Ford LTD II 4-door police pkg 460cid with F/S halogen grill & deck lights, F/S wig wag headlamps & tail lamps, stead red Unity chrome post spotlight, and that was it. We had bubble gum red/blue F/S 4-beam rotators w/colored lenses & clear domes which were from the 70’s & some were colored domes w/2 sealed beams & 2 huge chrome speakers in between for the dual tone F/S amplifier. When the Federal government made all LEO place the speakers on the bumper they utilized the huge chrome dual speakers on the grill guard to save from purchasing new speakers. Our agency only purchased LED overheads as the old high energy strobes wore out, or the old rotators wore out. When I retired last month, my patrol car still had extremely old F/S genuine strobe lights, from the 90’s, so I never worked on duty with LED’s at all, but the F/S lasts a very long time & they send replacement parts quickly , or get their own tech’s to check numerous overheads while their already at central replacing new overheads.
78 would have a 460 Police or a 460 Police Interceptor.. there was 2 versions of 460 Police that year! but city Police did have 351 also in 78 Ford Ltd.. the 460 was Highway patrol!@@jesterflight8593
Nice build, clean and effective. I simply loathe the Whelen siren sounds though, they just don't sound authentic- more like a child's toy. Unitrol OWNS that space I guess.
GM doesn't make a factory "police package" for the Camaro. That went away with the B4C in 2002, but a lot of agencies still use them for traffic enforcement. The only police package "pursuit" vehicles from GM now are the Tahoe SUV and the Silverado truck. Both have the 5.3L V8 under the hood.
That camaro is a sexy beast sporting its blue and red party lights.
Great build. Id like to see the detailed video on the 21 f150 in the backround there too. IM about to build one aswell.
Btw, for all you asking "why not a v8"; it's A 335 horsepower v6 with a 10 speed automatic that runs a 13.4 in the quarter mile lol it's plenty fast.
A 13 year old 335i with a 50$ Android tune would dog walk this shit lol

Not worth a shit. Put a 6.2 in it and catch them faster.
@@z33driverjg91 oddly specific car you chose there... let me guess, your mommy had one growing up? lmao

With these types of builds, do you add a passenger airbag switch?

I bet Richland county is going to get those Camaros

Leds are more expensive
@@foxxfury145 idk, it's just frustrating that you can drop $30k and still get halogen reverse lights.
Do they also sell it to Europe, I mean lights and siren?
I know you guys have done some camry's. How hard are they to upfit? I have on myself and thought about upfitting it for POV for fire dept.
No hard at all! We can make a RUclips on the silver one we are wrapping up for you
@@prideoutfitting I'd appreciate that. You guys mount the siren speaker to the bumper bar behind the plastic nose?

Finally, being waiting ur videos.. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 4 thumbs up (inc leg)
My man🔥🔥
Very cool. It also doesn't "look" like a police car at all.
Nice set up
Police cars should be the best and meanest on the road. They protect the law,,,,the most important thing
What pattern is that on the front bar?
What brackets for the ILB fit in these?
siren model?

I wish you could have shown us from the inside looking out how the lights affect the vision if they do that is.
We can work on that
Nys troopers have the ss version
What model Camaro? LT or SS
