I like the HeGent for the extra protection if you’re carrying expensive gear or equipment like cameras and if carry on allowance isn’t an issue. For travel, the voyageur. My Hegent 24 case has been on 2 round-trip travels via Delta and is already falling apart: 2 of 4 of the corner protector/reinforcements have fallen off, and the remainder of the case is degrading quickly. This is not durable luggage.
That's such a shamev and sorry to hear. I haven't had any issues with all the LEVEL8 luggage I've travelled with. Reach out to them and see what they can do to sort it out
Any chance you can confirm the measurements? I want to confirm that it will fit in most overhead compartments. How does it compare to the Gibraltar or Luminous dimensions?

compared to the all aluminium from LEVEL8, the Gibraltar costs noticeably more. Very reasonable for the price with reinforced aluminium although I agree there’s not much weight saving. The aluminium however is used in the most important areas. Great quality and a nice upgrade from polycarbonate shell for not much more. Not for everyone but great to have the choice in between.

If there is no weight difference to the aluminum model, I see no advantage.
