Thanks to you , you have gotten me into this amazing hobby and you have motivated me to build my own kit ,videos like this are the ones that are making this hobby bigger and better now you have a fan from LA
Awesome collection. Tamiya's are addicting. I usually buy two of each too and build one and run in the basement from time to time. I'm not getting any younger so I want to drive them all. The Wild Willy is a must have. I still have an original one, a new built 2000 and a nib one. I just finished a black edition Pumpkin. Thinking too to get a Metallic Special. They look nice. Keep the videos coming.
Back in the day, I had a Clodbuster. Took me months to pay off. LHS let me put it on Lay-Away, and I made weekly payments with paper route tip money. Always kinda wished that I’d gone with the Monster Beetle or the Midnight Pumpkin. I might do a brushless Pumpkin build at some point. Still love that body.
Happy to see you're still going with the painting. I'm looking at this as someone who has been painting minis and models for over 30 years. There's so many painting tips to give here. Let's start with thinning paint and going with 2 thin coats rather than 1 thick coat (thick coats can block details and cause issues where as thin coats are easier to work with and allow more control). Know the brushes you're using and the right size for each job, these helmets could easily be done with a single decent size1 or 2 brush but just from watching your intro I'd suggest you look at the smaller brushes for the iris and then a cocktail stick for the pupil. If you really want to spend a little more time learning about painting look for the beginners guide videos by Duncan Rhoades, Squidmar, Vince Venturella - there's loads more but these guys have some great painting basics videos. Keep up the good work, and man I should stop buying models for a month and buy an RC car to play around with!
I appreciate you input on painting, I am horrible as I do not know what I am doing. I am going to watch some of those videos. I love my Tamiya kits but hate to paint, maybe these videos can help. Thank you!!
Man!! I forgot about the VW in you office and the one you're working on.....and I was also ten off in my guess 😂😂😂😂😂 Oh well! Can't wait to show off my Back Slash. The last of my parts SHOULD be here this weekend. I also painted the body this past weekend 🤘🤘🤘
Dear Mark, Before entering RC I've done some statics model by Tamiya and the shop dealer suggest me to paint with a primer before use the acrilick paint cause the paint don't fix on plastic
Always prime - and the colour of the primer depends on what is going on top of it. I've been painting minis for a long time and there is no reason not to prime anything.
Hey bud, I know Tamiya makes a Toyota Tundra model, as a fellow Tundra owner are you aware of any good 1/10 scale crawler Tundra Bodies from any company I could look into? I know pro line makes a “Traxxas slash style tundra body” is that the only one out there?
Thanks for the video. I do have a question about the dx5c. The controller can operate multiple rc"s? Does it have multiple relievers to use. How does it work?
Wow did I guess wrong but mark are you use Japanese industrial standard (jis)screwdrivers for your tamiya builds it will help the driver keep from popping out of the screw and possibly stripping
So I gave a question I'm doing my house over and I don't know where and how to make my rc spot any advice you can give would be great ....I also have a garage I was gunna use the sun room off the back porch I really hate the basement
@@lazyman1011 you sound like me 😊 I'm sorry i have no social media, by choice. So the only contact i have is his yt channel called Tamiya legends. Alternatively, i would love to buy it off you, including postage so i could display it with my collection. I have the 2020 release VQS vanquish, but not the original.
@@peteuncle2935 Sorry, didn’t notice your answer. Will figure out how to contact you pm. Lot of stuff here to do so don’t take it personally if I am slow at responding.
Do Tamiya models need primer before painting? Typically these plastic models need a spray primer before painting or else the paint wont really adhere to the plastic and chip off real easy.
Bro, why do you have so many unopened RC's? I have room for more if you want to lighten your load. Lol I envy you brother. I would love to have a fraction of what you have.

👋👋 Thanks for your support!!
Nothing wrong with having a lot of Tamiya rcs. They are the ones got me into the hobby 35 years ago
The blackfoot is a blast to drive.
Awesome video Mark. I was way wrong on the count. Congrats to the winner and to you for giving back to the rc community.

Love you videos, keep them coming!!
Love Tamiya! The Hornet was my 1st hobby grade RC. Maybe Tamiya will do a Master Class on painting! ;-p Thx for sharing Mark!
Good evening always great stuff
I can't wait for the mid night pumpkin build I just need to order myself another lunch box all ready.
Can’t wait to do my first build. Will definitely be referring to your videos!

Wow! And I thought I was going overboard with 7 RC cars. One unbuilt (yet) and one half built.
Me 2 crazy for tamiya love it

Really nice video
Looking better 👍🏻😂
Lmao, driver looks like he's freaking out! 😂 😯
i wonder if you could find some goggles from a toy that would fit with that helmet. Racing in the dirt you need goggles!

Great set up brother
Love the Tamiya Tuesdays! My daughter and I just finished the Blockhead Wild One. One question, why no vintage Kyosho's

Dang I guessed 31 lol I was like, that is a high number but oh well, and I was short.
I have 62 rcs and that includes 2 boats 3 motorcycle and 1 drone and 1 helicopter so what would u do if u had the space
i submitted 32!!!! so close
Someone has to keep them in business.
Mark where did you get that calendar at
Damm that's a lot and also do you think you can like review a wltoys
do you have any 1/5 scale gas mark?
Do you have a Top Force Evo?
Mark not sure if you saw the message I sent you. But tamiya is re-releasing the black avanti this year.
NO!!! seriously? That means mine goes down in value?
Damn
Hey Mark I still have an original vintage Vanquish in really good condition sitting in the attic. Do you know someone that may take care of it?
I know Glenn at Tamiya legends would love that. He often gets cars from viewers to restore and put in his collection.
@@peteuncle2935 Hmm, is it possible to send me his contact via YT somehow? I’m only on my mobile without Facebook and all the stuff.

I missed the 1/32 race cars about 11 of them. I've given away 6 0r more that were not counted.
Tamiya crazy? And traxxas, and tekno, and arrma, and racing crazy 😂
My birthday is March 3rd!
haha, i guessed 33 cause it's a (kinda) lucky number for me but i didnt enter... I make poor choices!!!
I meant receivers
if thats hits a hard bash thats gonna suck if it breaks..
Dang... wish you counted the 3 in the box.. I guessed 36 😭
No Tamiya MINI 4WD ?!?!?!
If you tone down the whites of the eyes, with gray, it will take it down a few cups of coffee.

I guessed 35 🤦🏼
