Thanks for the memories! I still have an 80's Grasshopper new in the box. Had the Frog, Porsche "Racing" (Rothmans) 956, and the Porsche 959. We sold all of the Tamiya R/C cars @ Bobbye Hall's Hobby House in Dallas, Tx. Built many for customers. First r/c car was an Associated R/C 12E '79. Raced a 12i, then the "Import Killer"- the R/C 10! Tamiya is great quality but they have done some funky, overly engineered things...it's part of their charm 🙂
You are welcome, Tamiya’s cars never gets old in my opinion. So much character in them. My favourite vintage Tamiya is the Boomerang. It opened my eyes in RC.
I started RC car from TT-01 around 17 years ago, in 2007, then expanded my collection with M03, F103GT, TA05, FF02, DF03Ra, FF01, DT-02, and so on... so did not expect to see any of them seeing here. But surprisingly, I saw some familiality with Number 32, which equipped a rounded Ni-Cd battery! The most surprise was that actually I had Number 88! Never saw that it turned out to be the oldest of all my collection (never in 1 of the first 100!)😂 I kind of retired from RC for ten years and sold most of my RC cars, but since March 2024 I came back and play RC cars intensively again nowadays. Now I have Traxxas, 3racing, Yokomo, Team Associated and WLToys too, but Tamiya stays my favorite RC manufacturer as ever. One of the latest Tamiya collections are MF01-X and BT-01. I appreciate Tamiya keeps producing facinating lineups and new chasses. Cannot wait to see more! Thanks for the upload mate!
You are welcome, thanks for sharing your experience.. Up until now, i still can’t wait for their next release.. it keeps me looking forward to it all the time.
Nice video ! Concerning the Off-Road vehicles, the Egress, the Avante and the Top Force are the only ones, I´d buy again today because they drive quite nicely, look really good and are of high quality. I actually bought the Re-Re´s and was so happy to finally be able to afford them :)
@@RC-168. I did watch the video a few times. I must have missed it because each car only gets 4 or 5 seconds. Number 35 , well it was number one for me. Thanks for the memories.
Cool video, Tamiya made a lot of fun cars. Still have a few, along with others. This hobby can be addictive but fun.
@@stevenbutcher8287 Tamiya still holds the best sentimental value in Rc cars. Yes, it’s addictive in good way.
I just came across this video ... Subscribed!!! 👍

DATES woulda been NICE
Number 96 and 99 is TA01 chassis. The one to set the standards and the progenitor of the 1 : 10 touring cars we race today.

Thanks, i agree the re-re’s are great addition for us who couldn’t afford them back then. Reliving the childhood dream again.
@@RC-168 BTW: RUclips channel "NANNI RC" shows some of the super old models running on the track !
Did I miss the wild Willy 1 I thought that came out before the Fox? At least I think it did in New Zealand.
@@alans4281 its at no.35 Time of video 2:22. Yes its before the Fox.

the big numbers are a bit in the way and blocking the view
I like the montage. Could live without the "music".
Turn down the volume, maybe?
GJ!
Slow down bud. Huge numbers are blocking the view. What was the rush? Music made it feel even more rushed. Nice collection
