How to build a Tamiya 1/10 RC Hornet Evo
Hi all, I just completed building the Tamiya Hornet Evo. Its my first ever NIB Hornet, sort of in the Evo form. I'm very impressed that Tamiya modernized the Hornet and retained its vintage looks overall. Who would have thought.. Anyways, its a 30 min video. My build is based pretty much tele with the instruction manual. The bodyshell is done 'off camera', that bit needs total concentration from me.
Sorry for the audio quality. Its a bit too soft. Need to make future improvements.

Hi all, In this video, i had converted my Tamiya TT02 Audi Quattro into a vintage looking 1983 58036 version. Some mods were needed but the most obvious are the wheels and tires.

Hi all, in this video, I'm running my Tamiya TT02 Audi Quattro Rally Car. The car is kept stock. The small improvements i've made are the adjustable steering linkages. The bodyshell is very nice and highly detailed. The driver driver figures are added by me. Chassis is built in high ground clearance spec and equipped with Tamiya Rally Block Tires. Running my Honda City Turbo for the first time. It was bought back in 2015 & built in 2020. Original wheels and tyres are swapped with Tamiya's wide 2 pc mesh wheels and wide slicks.

I really enjoy your videos, they are oozing charme😊 And I especially appreciate your old-school approach to model-building as you dont apply all these fancy new techniques like 3d-printig, cnc-routing etc Dont get me wrong! 3d printing etc is awesome and gives us endless possibilities, but there something special about good old fashioned hand craft. @@AsurasWrath164 Thank you for watching and your comments, i’m very old-school in building my kits. If i run out of scarce parts, i will get them 3d printed. At the moment, i like to use what i can and my available resources from my parts bin. Cheers from Sarawak.

Really cool wouldnt have cut off the diffuser tho because now the exhaust is gone
since you added the bash guard it gave it an exhaust but it doesn't have texture

@@EC5wW-tf9rj the Porsche Dakar’s exhaust sits higher up than the gt3 & no diffuser needed. Thank you for the comment.

Looks really awesome! I really want to do something similar too, but unfortunately the tires are nowhere to be found. Do you have any suggestions on where to get them?
@@xeroeddie Thank you for your comments, the tires and wheels can be found soon, wait for the re-release of the Honda city turbo. Hopefully some sellers will break the whole car down as spares.
If you don't want the double side tape yo stick to the scissors. Rub some oil to make the surface smoothly
@@allyoucando8486 it’s a nano tape. Very sticky and soft compared to many double sided tapes i’ve used before. Will try some oil next time if using this tape again. Thanks.

I remember back in the day using the 2 stick controllers to drive imagine giving one of those to a new person today it would probably blow there mind
@@ritty975 2 stick controllers are awesome. Mine was a Futaba Attack. The good old days.
I had the original Subaru Brat it was the first to have that chassis but everybody thinks the frog was the first with that chassis but it wasn't

I absolutely love it! I'm a optima pro 4wd fan and owned the original back in 86. Have you compared this the the re-released Optima pro? I wonder how it compares in performance? I honestly am considering this mix of Optima mid with Optima pro body. Excellent job!
@@BlackTiger74 Thank you for the comment, i do not own a re-re Optima pro, but theoretically, the pro has a more forward mounting battery that helps the car’s weight distribution.
I had the Porsche 936 Turbo (#6) and the Sand Scorcher (#16). The good old days! Wish I still had them.

@@RC-168 Double the price ?? oh wow. Here it is just over € 110. A normal is around 80-110 € I just buy these Type-S kit's myself and but on any body i like. They do run much better indeed.
@@aviano72 yes, i bought mine online at around usd150. The standard ones are about usd90. This car is getting rare these days. I’m planning to run it with 25t pinion with sport tuned motor.✌️✌️

Cool video, Tamiya made a lot of fun cars. Still have a few, along with others. This hobby can be addictive but fun.

Your car looks great, nice track too. I have the TT-02 Mustang GT4. I want to do the rally version next. I can't decide on the '99 Subaru or the Audi. The CVA mini shocks are a big improvement.
Thanks for your comment, i would got for the Audi because i like classic rally cars then again 99’ Subarus are cool too. Next mod on my TT02 would be the shocks and bearings. I take it easy.

The Dark Impact was my first car after returning to the hobby and it really holds a place in my heart. This was a great project and a really interesting video.

Hi there, this is great work. The car looks quite unique, but it has all the 80s vibes, especially with those dampers, wheels and rims. When you put it next to the Fox and Boomerang, I thought: yes, I 'remember' now, the Tamiya Terra Speeder, long time since I last saw this car ;-)
