You support open source, I support you.
Another advantage over other VESC-compatible controllers on the market is the ability to always use the latest VESC firmware and software without restrictions.
And use any motor that is coming to the market... The stock WIZARD-guided detection for these kinds of motors is already nearly perfect. All we do is lower the inductance (original inductance *0,7) and set the Time Constant T to 400μS. After changing these two values we can run the Talaria Motor at 400-460A phase. We will add a script automating the detection and tweak for similar motors. The Talaria ABI / PPM Motor Encoder is also supported now. A lot is going on hardware and software R&D wise right now. We will make all new features available as soon as they are coded and tested. Expect some exciting STR-Line advancements this year!
Today was a good day. Had a mighty conversation about this controller and future lunacy. This is gonna make a shady as hell bike.... I love it!
Wow! Next Level Ground Breaking Design. Looking forward to seeing the STR-500 performance across a wide variety of electric vehicles.
Hopefully some videos of our projects coming soon!
Wheeew About Time I Have Found The Allspark
Its a life changer
Great piece of engineering! Will the settings for the io board and dc/dc be available in the app to set up lights, indicators and sensors?
It will be soon. As of right now you can only control the DC/DC via the Vesc Tool but we plan on adding support to the io board very soon.
So, what will be the max amps (phase amps) for the first units, I saw some where that it will be up to 1000 amps
hi.i got my long awaited STR500. it looks nice, but there is a huge problem. HOW TO CONNECT THE WIRES? the connectors don't fit. I'm trying to put 35mm2 connectors. they don't fit! according to 500A - it should be at least 50mm2, and also a very small contact area of the controller. I think you also know this structural problem... what was the designer thinking when he designed this controller?
Your not gonna do 500A continuous.
how does this compre to the ebmx 9k i understand its 500 amp continuous and not the peak. what do other controllers have as continuous/ how can someone learn how to make this information easily consumable. im desperately trying to learn logistics and how to understand these controllers/tools!
Very cool piece of equipment! What FETs does this use?

@@frankdrenckhahn9521Part Number? I can't find anything with those specs. Any reason not to go TOLT?

Amazing amazing amazing when is the release of the STR700? Thank you
