Anthony, I think you all forgot to include your guest’s contact info/social media info. in the video description, as was stated towards the end of the video.
Its definitely possible. Two years ago i quadrupled my income after landing a very good tech job. I'm currently at $195k in my cloud architect role. Tech pays folks! It's life changing. Back in 2016 I was making $13.25/hr which is bird food if you have a family to feed. I am grateful to God for discovering technology and how it has turned things around for me and my family.

I would recommend that you do your research and figure out which direction you want to go in first. After that, start networking and connecting with people who are doing the same job you would like to have. LinkedIn is a great place to be to meet people. In fact, LinkedIn helped connect me to recruiters that were looking for my skillset and that's how I got to where I am. Most importantly believe in yourself and study! There's plenty of free and affordable education online. Soak up as much as you can and never stop learning.

I worked at Starbucks as a manager before I worked in tech and my life was miserable. Making $16 an hour to work with terrible customers and to run around all day. I work in tech now making double what I was making at Starbucks and living a life of peace. All from home!! It’s a blessing and I highly recommend it to other women who desire to be homemakers and present for their marriage and children 🥰🥰
sales engineer--- totally called it. this guy clearly is a social butterfly with charisma. that is the secret sauce. this is a rare quality and really hard to learn without an upbringing and environment that fosters social development. i've delt with many sales engineers and heard many pitches, most of whom lack the social skills to make a lasting impression. a product could be amazing, designed to perfection by engineers across the array of development and testing, only to fall short in the end because the sales engineers sucks at using the product or lacks knowledge, or doesn't have the social skills to communicate and demonstrate all that greatness.
WOW, I WATCHED THIS 7 TIMES, DROPPED MY PEN, CLOSED MY BOOK AND JUST LISTENED, LISTENED AND KEPT LISTENING. MY SPIRIT IS JACKED UP, MY MIND IS FORTIFIED, I WILL BE BACK END OF THIS YEAR TO GIVE YOU MY STORY ALSO.
A career in technology can be LIFE CHANGING and I’m a living witness. I went from making peanuts to $81k at entry level into technology with not even a HS Diploma and I’ve progressed from there. I’m 19yrs in and there’s still more to learn that will help me advance to unlimited income potential and I’ve been a remote worker since 2006. Get on board y’all and change the trajectory of wealth in your lineage.
@@ladys5289 my entry level position was Systems QA Tester. I was a manual tester for banking applications. Once you learn how to do manual training, I recommend getting cloud certified or at least learn the technology. That’s where technology is heading right now.
I began my investment journey at the age of 38, primarily through hard work and dedication. Now at the age of 42, I am thrilled to share that my passive income exceeded $100k in a single month for the first time. This success reinforces the importance of the advice mentioned earlier. It is not about achieving quick wealth, but rather ensuring long-term financial prosperity
Investors should exercise caution with their exposure and exercise caution when considering new investments, particularly during periods of inflation. It is advisable to seek guidance from a professional or trusted advisor in order to navigate this recession and achieve potential high yields.
This is superb! Information, as a noob it gets quite difficult to handle all of this and staying informed is a major cause, how do you go about this are you a pro investor?
Through closely monitoring the performance of my portfolio, I have witnessed a remarkable growth of $483k in just the past two quarters. This experience has shed light on why experienced traders are able to generate substantial returns even in lesser-known markets. It is safe to say that this bold decision has been one of the most impactful choices I have made recently.

College is not the problem…the majors people choose are. My parents made me research the income of certain jobs before I selected my major. A lot of ppl skip that step then say college is a scam. Pick more reasonably priced schools, go to community college first, pick majors that pay.
@@devincouser1271 this wasn’t a post about trades…but for ppl that want to go that route that is also a good option. Many trade school will cost though so to say you’d be skipping debt may be a bit of an overstatement.

I have a Computer Science degree…IT minor. I didn’t use it and decided to pursue a career in Finance. Best move I made. The people in IT/Tech can make a lot of money without a degree but through certifications. The real money is in Cyber Security. Starting off base level is $100k in Texas so I’m sure it’s more elsewhere. A friend of mine started his own Cyber consulting company a year ago and makes over $1M a year net.
That is what I was looking at. Cyber Security… and I am a vocalist and cook that has worked in education since my 20s for my day job. This would be a completely different thing for me. Still thinking about it.

Everyday I’m at work fighting for my life for a fraction of the pay. This was all I needed to finally be courageous and take a step towards tech
Tech is one of the best industry's that allows for people to quickly start making alot of money. Theres the possibility of remote work and there are so many disciplines. If you happen to study computer science or a tech discipline, it certainly doesn't hurt as some companies prefer it and want to see a candidate with it.

Being a Sales Engineer (SE) was a position in tech that was most fun for me. I didn't have the pressure of going out and making sales. I was there to demo the product and make it work in the client's environment. My pay was guaranteed. I dealt with the customers' IT department (if they had one) and used my IT skills more than sales skills to close deals. It was easy money for me, and I enjoyed networking with other people in IT across the city.
@@allabouttheracks I started as an install tech, and as I became more knowledgeable about our products, I was recruited by the sales manager to help them make the sales process smoother. From there, I went on to training new technicians and building a KnowledgeBase in SharePoint company-wide per request of the company's president. (That was cool). After all of this, I stepped out on my own and pursued an entrepreneurial path. I got a LLC and started consulting. The journey continues.....

This interview really gave me the spark I needed. I’ve been saying I want to get into tech because it’s the present and future of business. Another thing l’ve noticed with some of the guests on this show and other shows is that when you are unemployed/ or you hit rock bottom, if you have a GROWTH mindset, it can sometimes be a blessing in disguise. Because it FORCES you to think of alternative ways to make money and it can grant you the time and space to learn or develop a new skill with 100% focus. And because it is an urgent situation you want to improve you put your all into it! And when you do that consistently I think the chances of bouncing back bigger and better are great.

I've spoken with several people in tech sales and they say the starting base salary is $45K - $50K, this is also what CourseCareers students are starting out at as their base; $60K is their OTE (On target earnings), which is your salary if you meet the company's sales goals. Most people just starting are not receiving a "base" salary of $70K - $80K in tech sales. I know someone who is a Manual QA Tester and have a bachelor's degree and they didn't start at $90K - $100K, the average starting salary is $70 -$75K, which is still good. Also, the Manual QA program with Careerist is 15 weeks and the Sales Engineer training is 8 weeks, the length of both has been extended.
Quality video, but those shortcuts to a new carreer will also require a lot of work and commitment, do not think for a second, you will get those figures without doing a significant amount of work.

Doubled my income working in tech sales. You can start as a Sales Development Rep (b2b appointment setter)(an entry level b2b sales position), then be promoted to Sales Executive (closing the deal). Sales Development Reps can make anywhere from 45k to over 100k (base and commission) ..... Sales Executives can make anywhere from 55k to over 500k yearly....even 1million (base and commissions) .........To be in b2b tech sales or any b2b sales, you must be comfortable with cold calling and asking the right questions to uncover needs. Also, if your skin color is "black", you would be a small percentage of this b2b tech world, but do not let that stop you from thinking positive, knowing your product, and humbly engaging with prospects. (I'm telling myself this often too.) When the Sales Executive wants or needs help demonstrating a product like software to a prospect, they call upon the Solutions Consultant, Solutions Engineer, or Sales Engineer. Sometimes, one must be a Sales Development Rep before being promoted to other sales positions including that of Sales Engineer.
This is such great advice. I was working for a great tech company. But, was recently laid off. I was a Sdr for a saas product. I understand exactly what you mean about not letting the fact that black and brown faces are small percentage of folks you'll see in tech give you from getting involved. This next time around I will definitely find a great mentor and go from there.

In fact, LinkedIn helped connect me to recruiters that were looking for my skillset and that's how I got to where I am. Most importantly believe in yourself and study!

@@clarity8296 - The $200k is possible but not immediately. Typically you’ll find that senior Software Engineers or Architects with 5-7+ years of extensive experience fall into that bracket.
@@nessparadis6948 correct, my Bachelors degree is in Criminal Justice and I have not applied it in the IT field.
This was super motivating, there is so much out there to do in this world, not just for yourself but for the greater good as well
It’s 5am where I am right now, and God woke me up out of my sleep and led me to to this. I grabbed a pen and pad and started taking notes as I was listening. The rest I’ll put in Gods hands, but I’m very happy that I found this video. I plan to start the boot camp asap!
Cyrus really a 🐐 now‼️ He made it to the table✊🏾
I'm most definitely taking notes and really considering changing my career to teach right now. Thank y'all for the free game on this information. This video really can change people life's.
Seeing this today is so on time for me. I just wrote out some goals, and wanting to get into Tech was number 1. Seeing this video and hearing this story, is inspiring. Just started reaching how to switch careers and this course I’m going to find the money and sign up. Thanks for sharing.
How has the journey been?
Two brothers in the faith and the tech space yall definitely earned a new subscriber
I'm a registered nurse with a master's degree in nursing education. I'm tired of bedside nursing. My initial major in college was computer science. Now thinking about doing a post graduate in informatics. This video is very interesting.
Did you try doing the FEMA Affiliate cash program I did cash out and I got
paid $20,000 in just a few hours.
Any updates?
You guys have me crying right now
Your amazing information
I'm already for the tech school
Good brothers thank you all from the bottom of my heart . I'm retired from the U.S ARMY , I'm going to invest in my education. I'm joining the boot camp so I can get my money up. This video is the start to the change in my life!!!
I see thanks for your testimony still it's better than what most folks are used to getting paid
I been looking into Cyrus RUclipss, he said to do Tech Sales AND THEN do a course to be a Sales Engineer. Does that make sense to do?
Well I’m making 40k a year so way better than what I’m currently making. Interested in joining this
@@XxAlex530xX Good, you should join.
I was researching both bethel and careerist-do you have a recommendation on either or for the Sales engineer side?
Amen!! Thank God for allowing you guys to provide us with this educational option to help us excel
Cyrus done made it to The Table with AO! Congratulations Cyrus!!
It was an honor to have him at the table!
Thank you! God is good and AO show is 🔥
@@techisthenewblack congratulations Cyrus! I remember meeting you briefly at pinky promise in 2016 when you did poetry!
Quality video, but those shortcuts to a new carreer will also require a lot of work and commitment, do not think for a second, you will get those figures without doing a significant amount of work.
Agree
I've been in tech for year's, telling people for years and how to do it just seems like they just brush it off. I only had one person actually listen 👂 and do it. This was helpful even for me because it's another level. Thank you
Please as a very layman in tech, what course will u advise as a first step in tech.
I think people see tech as very intimidating especially if their career paths have been the complete opposite of that. This will be very new for me but I’m still willing to take a look.
I'm new and was in marketing could u tell me how to get in to this
I'm in the QA Tester course with Careerist right now. After seeing this I want to do the sales engineer class once I get some experience under my belt. I've been a nurse for 10 years and am changing careers.
How is the QA tester course I’m thinking about jointing
Would you recommend certifications from the platform “Udemy”?
How was it?
(I'm telling myself this often too.)
When the Sales Executive wants or needs help demonstrating a product like software to a prospect, they call upon the Solutions Consultant, Solutions Engineer, or Sales Engineer.
Sometimes, one must be a Sales Development Rep before being promoted to other sales positions including that of Sales Engineer.
Great comment. I’m an Account Executive at a cyber security org. Most people from what I’ve seen get into tech sales had to start in sales development
Do you ever feel discouraged being the only black in tech?
I’m looking to become a sales engineer buy have no mentor that looks like me to guide me.

I have to first off by saying I never comment on videos but this one right here is gold. My future children thank you. I will be back in about four weeks with an update on my future position!!!
I’ll be waiting!

Current pharmacist and nigerian. You made the right choice. Blessings

@@nessparadis6948 finished boot camp and finished a big interview Thursday. Hopefully will hear an update by early next week 🙏🏾
@@SeunAdekoya , I prayed for your interview. Would love an update. You got this!
OMG! Your constant is always on point and excellent, but this show changed my life!!! I’m going to follow up on his information and do a Boot Camp!!! Thank you soooo much for sharing!
Did you do it?
College is completely up to individual ambitions. As someone who has a Bachelors & in Tech….you don’t need college. They will teach you the foundations of business as you work. Executives at my company, half of them NEVER attended college. Don’t just look at the blue chips mentioned in the video for a Tech Career. Look for unicorn startups that are series B-D. Whoever you are looking to make the leap, YOUR SKILLS ARE TRANSFERRABLE. I worked odd end jobs,IHOP, gas stations in college. 4th year in tech and will clear $100k plus. The opportunities are out there. Network, connect with people on LI. TELL the recruiter why you’re a good fit after you apply. Be determined. You got this
Show them how it’s done. You have the perfect personality for that role!!! Congrats. 🎉
I've come to realize as an investor that instead of letting my money sit idle in my savings account it is more productive to invest the little available and build a portfolio from the accumulated profit of investment

I'm still confused why Bitcoin and crypto prices keep dropping? This drop follows a number of other significant drops in recent weeks, I still hold enormous value of cryptos and it scares me. Whats your take on this?
So many nuggets here! Started school in September in Cyber security , cannot wait to finish and go all in !
It’s reassuring to see someone who finished the careerist course and they are doing well. I finished the manual Qa course and I’m applying everywhere.
How has your journey been this far?
Hey did you land a job after completing Manual QA course from Careerist? I heard their courses are not accredited. Can you please provide some feedback and recommendation?
OMG!! Bro, you are God sent, I'm a front desk concierge at a Billionaires residential building in NYC. Working overnights and have been wanting to get into the tech field. There are few residents that work in the tech field or own a tech company. Today has been the day my future has just made a U-turn for a successful future. Thanks, my brother! and you have just gotten a subscriber too lol

LIBERTONCORP is young. Holding almost anything mentioned here is a good hold because the VHS or Beta will only show in time. I want to hold them early. Its sad that most dont think of these things as good future holds instead of being out of the market and bottom hunting. Are we the adopters or are we scavengers? surely one of these layer ones will become the standard and i dont want to sell any of them too early.
I'm currently in Life Insurance and preparing to go into tech. This was sooo on time. Thank you gentleman for this information.

Will you continue to do life insurance on the side? Im currently an insurance agent and I'm looking to get into tech but not sure if I want to give up my licenses...I'm building my portfolio and trying to decide at the same time.
This guest has a great attitude. Love the fact that he’s a believer in Christ. God bless him.
This is the conversation we need to have; imo the Asian community is dominating the Tech Field. This is it folks!

I watch your channel! I recently started learning about project mgmt. to increase my skill set. I think I'll look into this also.
How long have you been in field
I've watched your channel too. I knew you were in tech just not sure what field, thanks for confirming what was stated.
Hey Tinesha how did you end up in your career? any tips?
I Just Had My Careerist Advisor Consult For Manual QA Today. Very Excited. Thank Again
This is a sign for me! I know the Lord is leading me to tech. I been seeing tech jobs everywhere I turn and I never seen them beforehand. I believe I been intimidated bc I don’t see many black women in this field. I know I can do it bc God showed me I can now I have to receive and believe it even when times may get tough in learning. I can do all things through Christ Who Strengthens Me!
