You are the best teacher Stephanie. Thank you so much for posting these tutorials. It took me a few tries but I am getting better and better. Your voice is so pleasant to listen to. I thanked you once before but as I learn more and more from your videos I wanted to thank you again. Blessings
You made literally the ONLY tutorial that I could actually understand... I officially know how to do a peyote baby! On my way now!!!!!! (Thank you.. really.. I've gone through like 2 hours of the most frustrating hell you can imagine, trying to follow tutorials that just weren't working for me.. When I don't get it, I don't get it, but when I do.... I DO!)
Thank you so much for doing this-it makes everything so much clearer, especially when you work with two different bead colors. I bought a book with beautiful projects in it, but the diagrams are all fairly small and in black and white with little arrows to show you the stitching pattern. I will go out now and buy some practice material before I try my hand at making a set of earrings. You have made a great teaching video; I actually think seeing it one time so clearly is enough so that I can actually do it now. :)
+DrNJP Thank you! My goal for this channel is just that! When it comes to reading beading patterns, I like having the video with hands where my hands are so I can follow it. Sometimes the written pattern is a little more challenging. So I am happy this helped you :)enjoy !
i absolutely LOVE all your work and you are one of, if not the best instructor of all youtube tutorials i've seen!! thank you for taking your time and energy to teach those of us learning!!
HI Stephanie, thank you so much for posting this tutorial of how to do the Peyote stitch. I am new to seed beading and loving every minute of it and you made this simple for me to understand. : )
+Tammy Adams My pleasure Tammy! You are going to love your new hobby!!! Keep watching, most of my tutorials are for the beginning beader so have some fun ;)
I learned peyote! I tried and tried even with video. It is an understatement to say the first two row are hard! But, if you can find a way to maintain tension while beading. Thx for video. Now I may move on to another project.
Very easy to understand! Thanks! I'm barely going to start making a bracelet just need some fire line thread that I keep hearing about. But I don't understand what do you do with the stop bead at the end?
wow thank you so very much for this i am very very new to bead weaving and to this stitch this has just made it a whole lot simpler and clearer for me as i was getting very frustrated and upset with two other tutorials i had been sent by a friend but seeing how you do it has helped so much thank you :)
Hi Neave! Welcome to my channel😍 I'm so glad I was able to help you with this stitch! I have many other "How to" tutorials posted and coming up so stay tuned for lots of fun and instruction :)
Talk about an ah ha moment! Now I see what I was doing wrong, right from the start! Thank you so much for this tut on the basics!!! Pls share, how wide is the bracelet? Don't know the thickness of these 6/0 beads to be able to calculate it. I like how easy it is with 6/0 compared the 11/0 I was using for my first try. Thought I was going blind, or at least was going to lose my mind, using 11/0! Did you do a demo on odd count peyote? I know I can find a tut on it, but I like your teaching method and closeness with your camera. Thanks again!
Stephanie thank you so much for all your tutorials I am so happy I found you I could not ever get a grip on the peyote stitch with your video it made it easy as pie once again thank you for all your wonderful tutorials one question for you if you have any ideas on gem stone chip stone beads I have tons of them and no ideas for accept stringing hope you have a wonderful weekend
+Coleen Taylor Hi Coleen! I also have many many strands of gemstone chips. I will use those chips in upcoming tutorials probably in the New Year :) Hmmm...thinking of something as I write this. :)
I began watching your videos yesterday (10-28-2018) as I am interested in making beaded rings for myself. Thanks to you, I now know how to do the "stop bead". Is it possible to make rings doing this particular stitch? On second thought, I can always view your beaded ring videos! You are so clear and concise in your tutorials! Once again, thank you very much! usmale 49 in Denver, CO
Hi, I am a very very new beader, I was wanting to know if you can maka a video explaining the difference between a regular toho bead and a delica or miyuki seed bead. I don't know when I'm suppose to use a delica bead. Also when I try to make an earring or whatever if it calls for a miyuki seed bead but I use toho it isn't coming out right. when do I know to use a toho or miyuki bead.
Hi, Stephanie. I love your tutorials. You make everything so clear (except when your camera won't focus 😉) and easy to understand. I was wondering, though, does peyote stitch have to begin with an even number of beads?
+Michelle Carmichael Hi Michelle 😃 Thank you! In the early videos I was trying to learn how to use a video camera and try to teach at the same time!!! Later vids are much improved and most recent vids are pretty darn good 😜😉 So try some later ones! Peyote can be either odd count or even count. I have a video on odd count. It's the Awareness Ribbon tutorial. Thanks for watching 💜🌻
I'm working on a two strip peyote bracelet and plan to put some pearls between the strips of Peyote but what I'm having problems with is how to finish the ends to attach a clasp?
Hi Suzy K🌻 The Peyote and Square Stitch bracelet gives you instructions for a 2 strand box clasp. Check that one out. Also, it depends on the size beads you are using. If they are small like an 11/0 then you can use a tube bar clasp or zip up the ends. I would have to see the bracelet😀
I took them out of the container and put them in the bead box so I'm not sure but I think they are #6, so they are large. I'm changing my mind since I measured the width and it's almost 20 mm now for a single strip so I'm going to do something decorative around the edges and then use the box clasp. Next time, smaller beads. Thank you very much.
HELP! I am all thumbs when starting peyote. Do you have any recommendations on how to start this without beads being lose and things just going everywhere?
+Susie Greenspoon You can purchase peyote starter cards(most bead websites carry them) that are supposed to make starting Peyote easier. However, I think if you practice your peyote often you will eventually get it and have a better understanding of the stitch as a result🙏🌻😃 Try using larger Delica beads, size 10 or 8 to make stitching easier. Stopper beads at bottom top might help keep the beads in place. Move them as needed to accommodate the beads. Hope this helps 🎃

Hi I am so glad you explain how to do these technics I am having so much fun learning....
I'm trying to learn some of these advanced stitches. But I still like the basic stitches and working with designing my own sort of bead art pictures.

Thank-you, you made it easy for me.
Thank you! I have been meaning to make more "how to" tutorials! I will be doing so very soon 💜
Thank you for making this easy. I like to know if you can start the bottom with a start row then do the peyote and is there a video on that?
To make them straight would you just go with the needle through every bead instead of skipping one?
Love your teaching method awesome thank you ... :)
Thank you 🙏
THANK YOU FOR THIS TUTORIAL!!

Bronzepony Beaded Jewelry Thank you. I understand the stitch, just have trouble getting started.
+Susie Greenspoon Gotcha 😉 I think Peyote Stitch will always be a bit wonky to handle at first🌻🙏
Bronzepony Beaded Jewelry I ordered those cards for a variety size of beads.
+Susie Greenspoon Awesome- should take the frustration out if Peyote for you 🌷🌷🌷
Thank you :-)♥
You are most welcome Makyaj! My pleasure to share this with you :)
