Your tutorial has been a lifesaver (and a beadsaver, since I am no longer flinging beads in frustration!). The tension around the finger was the missing piece I needed, and now I can do peyote! Thank you!
Hi Manie, I randomly watch your vids cuz you have lots of interesting projects and so much good info. I’ve not been concerned about the newest one. But then I checked and see that you’re not beading anymore and why. I hope one day along your journey that you’re spirits are lifted so that the beading bug bites you again. In the meantime thank you for all that you have given us. Wishing you all the best 🌻🙏
I just found your channel and I'm absolutely in love. Tonight I finished my first pair of brick stitch with dangles earrings and a small square stitch rosette. Tomorrow will be the beaded spiral chain rope, I've learned so much in the last couple days of watching your videos!! Thank you so much for being super helpful
@@ManieMartinez I'll be watching, for sure. Right now I'm making embroidered beaded cuffs and looking to branch out to new things. Thank you for your vids!
Hi Tally, I am glad you love to bead. Sorry I don't think I will be making more videos any time soon. I lost my husband and with it the will to bead. Have no picked up them since then. I don't expect that will change any time soon.
Hello Patience, I had a personal major event happen in my life and I have stopped beading. I am not sure if I will return to it. Thanks for you understanding
@@ManieMartinez Hope you are well. Sending you only the best wishes. Even if you do not return to this channel, thank you very much for what you have shared ♡
Hello Ruthie. There are things that can make it easier. 1.Pick a thread that is not slippery when you are learning. Nymo can be found at Michaels in small multi bobbin packs if you want to try it. 2. The bead size matters, or I should say bead to thread ratio. You thread should be big enough that 3 passes of the thread should almost fill up the bead hole. If the bead is too big and the tread to small, it will be really floppy and hard to manage.
@@ManieMartinez OMG OMG thank you so much. Will try that I appreciate your quick response. And yes, that is the problem they are coming out not in uniform as they should. Right now tried just regular thread, and not working. Yes, very floppy. Thank you, thank you. Ruthie
Hello CB You can make a peyote piece as large as you like. If you plan to hang or have a fair amount of weight on or in it then you should reinforce the ends near the stress points or use nymo thread and double it up to add strength. Have fun.
Hello Echo... I had a major personal loss last November and since then I have not wanted to bead. I am hoping the desire will come back but for now I am just knitting. Thanks for your concern. Manie
Manie this is Coleen again I've been thinking and worrying about you I hope all is well with you? If you get this in you have a free moment let me know how you're doing please I really miss you my friend...✌💕🐾😘
Hello Queen, You can do it with either odd or even count. There are places on the internet where you can get graph paper to plan out peyote designs. Just remember the number of beads across the pattern determine if it is odd or even.
This was a wonderful tutorial, I learned so much! I do think it would look more professional if the measurement of the ring was correctly stated as 5/8 not 3/8 and if the scissors could be a little newer. But the information on how to do peyote even was exceptional!
Kristy just remember that I am not a professional trying to sell my products by making polished videos. I am an old lady, on a limited budget, passing on my knowledge the best I can. It is not required that I be perfect. Good luck on your journey
Great video was the perfect refresher course. A few questions what type of thread fly fishing? What brand and size needle are you using. Thank you so much.

Thanks for the very clear tutorial, but am not getting it still. Does it matter what string you use for the stitch especially for beginners.?

Can you do a checker board pattern I can’t figure out how to do it
Loving this tutorial, but I'm still not patient enough to attempt it..hahaha. and congrats on all your subs girlfriend!
How large of a piece could be made in this fashion? 30" x40" feasable?

How did you close the stitching on the candy cane ring?
Was the ring odd count or even count on the candy cane ring?
Thank You
