This weekend I went to Westfield Stratford CIty and played over an hour! They have a GORGEOUS Yamaha Grand Piano and it was a joy to play! I started with some random songs, and then did my set of ALL the Queen songs that I know. It was a great environment to play in - with the piano sound being deep and rich even in such a big area. There were a few people who sat and listened for ages from about half way all the way to the end. I wasn't going to play Elton, but at the end of the Queen set, there was a big crowd so I thought I would do one more - and I love playing I'm Still Standing because of the energy. For you guys that like people watching - there is so much to see! The little boy who is over excited at the beginning and almost knocks over the rope fence. The lady at the back that dances and sings. Also, I keep trying but can't read the lips of the mum who taps her daughter on the shoulder (2:08) and says something - I think about me and the piano as the little girl looks over straight away and then back at her mum. The little girl has awesome cat ears headband too and she knows the songs as you can see her sing it at 2:30, along with the lady behind her!
Concert Organizer: Cole we need you to do an 8 hour concert and we can't pay you. Cole: Umm... Concert Organizer: We have a Steinway Model B Grand Piano. Cole: YES!!!
You will always stand amongst the greatest pianist, cause you are perfect pianist, so pure, playing so honestly, with so much joy, and that is incredible. Wish you all the best forever, Cole, my 😇 on earth!👏
Great job Cole. You are starting this year off with a bang. Keeping making more videos because you keep inspiring me to keep on with my guitar and piano. I can already tell your gonna have an amazing year. Have an incredible day and year.
I'm here Cole. So nice to see people appreciating your music.I'd have stayed to watch til the last one too. Only I would have asked for more like Oliver. Hahaha! But thanks and greetings from your favorite fan on the other side of the ocean.👍👍😋😝😛😁😜🥴🤪🤗😘🙏
Hi Cole, This is one of my favorite locations. Very well done! Because you can see the people up and down the shopping mall catching their attention and emotion. I find this this personally the best location to see people play. Perhaps if you have time you should play more at this location. A reply from that silent subscriber...again. Thank you.
I love this song and your arrangement-performance ! Well done and Regards from Athens ! ps Tha natural sound of the piano is miles better than that of the electric one .
I used to work at the Gant store in this video, the playlist used to be full of these terrible Indie/Pop songs and I always enjoyed listening to some good songs on the Piano
@@ColeLam I could totally hear you play, Never Enough, Come Alive, A Million Dreams and Tightrope :) Oh, and On The Other side ( I've probably listed most of them their haha ) you'd nail the entire song list tbh!! They are amazing songs!!
Wonderful, particularly as played on this lovely grand piano. The public uprights in the stations are out of tune and the high notes have lost their overtones and sound dully tinny. So, I enjoy those videos less keenly. It also reinforces what we've said about having a responsive audience - you are keen to play an encore and I am certain that it raises your performance. Yes, you seem happy to share the music rather than playing mainly for yourself. Well, it won't be too long before you see "Rocketman" and understand more fully the context of this composition by Elton.
Hello Cole, I have a question. How do you get permission, like what is the necessary steps? I'm going to try playing there next week during the half term. What are the requirements to get approved, how long must I play for aswell, and what is the e-mail that would be used to gain that approval?
Hello Cole! I am currently trying to add some style to my learning of this arrangement, and have a few questions: -> At 2:33, what are the extra, quick notes you are adding in with you right hand? -> Also, what is that called at --1:45-- and --2:46-- when you go straight down towards the left very quickly on the piano with your right hand? From what note to what note are you hitting/ aiming to hit, right to left when you do this? Also, another one at --1:55--

@@ColeLam @Cole Lam Yes! I purchased it awhile back and just finished learning it! I just notice in your performance that there are a few things that you added so I was just wondering about the specific notes for the added features. I've been replaying your video, carefully studying from it, but hard to tell the specific notes for the added elements at those times. Any help would be appreciated identifying the notes, thanks! I will look up a glissando tutorial thank you!
