Yes we are using perlite. We are also using a 50/50 mix of perlite and coco coir. New videos will soon be out on root crops and various grow mediums. Thanks for your question.

Whats the deal with the 27 gallon totes with the pvc drain lines??

Those are filled with perlite or perlite coco coir mix for our root crops. They need the drain to keep from over watering. Can be set up as an automated system. You just reminded me to do the video on that. The experiments were a great success! Thanks, Randy
