After quite a bit of research, I decided to purchase a new hive and attempt to move the into the new hive myself. I wasn’t nearly as bold to go at it without a veil or gloves, but in just jeans and a long sleeved cotton shirt I was able to successfully find the queen and move her to the new hive in a little over an hour. I’ve learned so much and I’ve gotten into the habit of watching a new video every night before bed. It’s so relaxing and a wonderful way to unwind. Thank you Erika for all you do for the bees and all the amazing content! Saying hello from the mitten state!
My grandfather kept bees in Iowa back in the late 40s/early 50s. He actually had a bee sting allergy but only ever wore a hat with a face net and never got stung. Use smoke, then work slowly and deliberately, he explained. It is awesome to see you work just like he explained. I've never been afraid of bees as a consequence and your vids are great fun to watch. Our neighbor in Los Angeles was an old Russian beekeeper. He had hives behind his garage and harvested their honey made from garden flowers in the neighborhood. HIs best honey came from the chaparral blooms. He would haul the hives out into the desert and return months later. That honey had a distinct wild plant bouquet and was nice and dark, not like the typical clover honey. Great stuff. Congratulations to you for your good work.
Love how gently and carefully you treated these bees and their hive!! Your work is so incredibly important. Would love to see an update on how the bees settle into their new home and how you care for them!

Is this channel still active? I hope it is but there hasn’t been a new video or short in quite some time. I hope all is well with our favorite beekeeper.
Honey bees are devastatingly terrible for the North American ecosystems, please put research in and strive to help out native pollinators rather than allow an invasive species to perpetuate in the environment
Your work is so inspiring. I find myself getting somewhat emotional with the incredible respect and care that you show these bees. Your channel is addictive and you do wonderful work. You are truly a blessing.
I think they know you are a friend and not going to hurt them so they don’t get aggressive with you. I love watching you, seeing how much you care for them. You have helped me over my bee phobia and to become a bee advocate. Thank you ❤
The thought of bees chewing through the rubber bands and dragging them out of the hive is so cute to me. Like "Hmm, this doesn't belong here, let's just take this outside"
I saw a bee today, I stopped to notice that a bumble bee is different than a honeybee. Thanks for the new awareness of bees! Then I saw the ridiculous controversary and wanted even more to thank you for your great videos. Of course, you scope out a situation in advance and plan accordingly, obviously, great stuff!!!!
Erika, Do you take any precautions not to wear any perfume, or cologne? Bees being so attuned to scents/pheromones it's possible to think that those products might interfere. Admittedly, it's very unusual to see a beekeeper working without protective gear. How long after you started beekeeping did you realize that you could go without the gear?
I definitely avoid wearing strong scents and you're certainly right to think that such things may interfere with beework! I even prefer to wear the same clothes two days in a row if I'm working the same colony like I did here. And I would say that going without gear was just a gradual and perhaps natural progression for me. I spend a lot of time in each hive and I'm in Texas where it's VERY hot, so to me, it would be crazy if I didn't try to figure out a way to do this work without wearing a giant space suit. Thank you for watching and for your questions!
We love your channel and would love to see the next phases of bee care. Moving from your truck and forward! We ❤your passion and are grateful for your efforts to save the world 🌎!

Erika, you are amazing. I kept bees here in the UK many many years ago, and I always loved collecting swarms and running them into a new hive. Amazing little critters.
I just found your channel thanks to Reddit tonight. The way you say the word "bees" is divine and I deeply appreciate the love and care you have for these wonderful little creatures. Thanks for all your work!
I'm very impressed. That was a huge hive. Great job. Your best, and biggest save that I've seen you make so far.
I don't watch your videos regularly, but it makes me smile every time. Keep on keeping on!
I honestly just love hearing you say "the beezzzz" especially "the baby beezzzz" 🥺🤍
I love the bees and I really enjoy your narration. You have a calm voice and demeanor.
I recently found this channel and I’m straight up obsessed with it ❤ 🐝
Everything about this woman is amazing. So confident yet calming. I’ve learned so much and I’ve gotten into the habit of watching a new video every night before bed. It’s so relaxing and a wonderful way to unwind.
Thank you Erika for all you do for the bees and all the amazing content! Saying hello from the mitten state!
The bees must be so relieved when they see you pull up. You're simply amazing. How you're able to remain so calm is astounding.
I recently stumbled upon this channel, and I just want to say I love the content. Your voice, work and the buzzing of the bees are like a great ASMR to me. Keep up the excellent work!
I'm so glad it's finally spring, because I hope it means we'll see more of these wonderful videos. I never get tired of seeing you work. You are so respectful of these extraordinary creatures, so skillful, so patient.
That's amazing. Thank you for saving the bees. ❤
Thank you Queen Bee Erica 🐝 for all 🐝that you rescue🐝and save🐝
Considering honey bees are invasive and actually devastating to North America's natural pollinators, she shouldn't be getting praised, she should start focusing her efforts and her following on this channel to promote healthy species in the ecosystems of Texas and North America, not perpetuate its decline
Wowww!! You are amazing! Thank you for your gentle, caring work on saving the bees!
What a lovely way to start my morning! Thank you Erika! Another great day of saving the bees!
I was stung twice when I was little and I was terrified of bees. But watching you save them has helped me learn that bees are good guys!

It makes me so happy to see these bees being saved! Thank you 🙏
That colony was doing just fine on their own. She didn’t save ave anything. She moved them and lost a lot of them.
@@PD-we8vf we are looking forward to watching one of your beekeeping videos! 🤣
@@PD-we8vf She saved them from being killed by somebody indifferent to bees.
@@PD-we8vf My impression was the property owner was going to exterminate them because someone got stung.
@@PD-we8vf it had to be moved or someone would have just called the exterminator. A lot of people dont appreciate the importance of bees and just classify them as stinging bugs.
You are an amazing, beautiful, and brave lady!! Oh, and not to mention your soothing gorgeous voice!! Thank you for saving our bees!!
PLEASE keep these videos coming on RUclips. Your talent handling the the bees and hives is TRULY amazing and I thoroughly enjoy watching your work. 👍
I appreciate your gentle touch and caring for the bees. You are very calm and soft when talking. Thank you for showing us the process of saving the bees. I really appreciate everything you do.
I live on the other side of Earth, yet I feel the need to thank you for doing this, because Bees are important to all living beings. Thanks!
Wow, thank you so much for your thoughtful comment and for watching from halfway around the world! I sincerely appreciate your support!
@@TexasBeeworksHave you ever got stung while removing bees?
I just love your work. It makes me so happy just watching you work your magic
Thank you for saving the bees! And calming my mind at the same time! ❤
beautiful! I love watching you work. i love how easily you can tell that you genuinely care about the bees and work so hard to make sure they are safe. thank you for your important work!
I love the calm and measured way that you work and all the information you give. I have not been a bee fan but you are definitely converting me. I am finding them fascinating now .Thank you for educating me .
Another great day of saving the bees!! Thank you for the video and saving bees! This was a huge hive!!
You are sososo awesome. I love it. Thank you for caring.
This is the most relaxing channel on all of RUclips. You have the most calmest voice I've ever heard! Great job on the bees as well
I agree. What a wonderful relaxing channel.
Is this channel still active? I hope it is but there hasn’t been a new video or short in quite some time. I hope all is well with our favorite beekeeper.
You love to see it! Great job, as always.
Those girls were busy, what a colony! Love your videos, and your love for the bees. 😊
Honey bees are devastatingly terrible for the North American ecosystems, please put research in and strive to help out native pollinators rather than allow an invasive species to perpetuate in the environment
Another great day of saving the beezzzzzz.
Girl you have the voice of an angel ❤
After a stressfull workday I always get so relaxed watching you save the bees. Keep up your wonderful work! ❤
Thank you for saving, keeping, respecting and loving bees. Bee yourself and bee awesome for ever🥳🐝
Thank you, Texas BeeWorks! Thank you. ☺️
Love your content and love how gentle you are with the bees.
And your voice is like a lullaby
We love your channel and would love to see the next phases of bee care. Moving from your truck and forward! We ❤your passion and are grateful for your efforts to save the world 🌎!
I really enjoy learning about the bees and watching you work. ❤
Kudos to you for taking care of the bees like this instead of spraying them with pesticides. You protect the environment and animals.
I always feel a reverence for the intelligence and work of bees. Thank you for taking all of us along with you while you saved these bees ❤❤❤
God bless you, beautiful lady. I am sharing your delightful videos with my family. You are an inspiration. xx
