This album is the epitome of existential angst. The crushed human spirit trying to make peace with existence.

While folks of hundreds of years ago would read reassuring religious texts to cope with thoughts of death, have a nice life looks helps us listeners look death in the eye, and acknowledge it’s presence. Hence the album title

It's funny how I discovered Deathconsciousness. I was listening to some instrumental post-rock album that I can't even remember now, and since I was in bed, I fell asleep halfway through.
Spotify has this Autoplay feature, which plays similar music after a playlist or album ends. Completely random post-rock songs start playing as I sleep, I have no idea what was playing, until Bloodhail came in through my headphones out of nowhere.
The first seconds of the song hit me like a train, waking me up in a jump. I laid there in the dark, my eyes very slowly adjusting to the darkness, as I listen to this weird song that woke me up, even though I was still half awake half asleep, trying to understand what was even going on. I had lost notion of time and where I was even, since I was probably dreaming of something, and suddenly jolted because of Bloodhail's loud drums in the beginning. But the bassline and guitar riff grabbed my full attention, stopping me from pulling my headphones off to check the name of the song and band.
Where am I? What's going on?
"I feel the top of the roof come off,
    Kill everybody there."
Did I fall asleep? What happened?
"And I'm watching all the stars burn out
Trying to pretend that I care"
Quickly, I picked up my phone to check the name and band. "Wow" I thought.
It was 4AM, but I didn't care. I absolutely HAD to listen to this whole thing. Hunter is my favourite song from it, Bloodhail holds that special place in my heart for waking me up like that, and Earthmover was like a strong gust of wind hitting my face when that post-rock explosion comes in.
This album makes you feel things. It's mindblowing how literally anyone could have made this in production terms, it all comes down to the geniuses behind it.

The first time I heard deathconsciousness was last year, approximately at the same time during the beginning of spring. I was going through a phase where I know I have to change and something is changing in me but I didn't know how to relate to that and I was constantly following ideology more or less stupid and then I listen to Have a nice life, I can't describe how I felt this night with my headphones on and a low luminosity in my room it's like I was growing up inside and get a big breath of consciousness, everything seems to be clear to me. 1 year later I steal listening to eta and the feelings are the same it's a kind of truly love with this album, the love of somebody who's opened your eyes and make you realize that you are living and the outside world is huge and your imagination and the human history and psychology all of this shit are even bigger. Thanks you have a nice life
