- Yacht rock relic remixed by DJ4AM (Jason Patrick Chavez). I'm not dissing when I say relic either, I freakin' love this song, or else I wouldn't spend hours tweakin' the dang thang! (It almost has a Latin feel now.)

On the American Top 40 radio program of August 14, 1976, Casey Kasem reported the group's difficulties in promoting their single. Over the winter they had hand-delivered the record to 400 radio stations, 95 percent of which had told them they would play it, but did not. One of those stations, WERC in Birmingham, Alabama,[4] told them that it sounded like a spring song to them, so they would play it but would wait until spring to do so. Discouraged, the group re-entered the recording studio. However, WERC kept their promise and became the first to do so, because "Moonlight Feels Right" became a hit immediately following its first airing. The song debuted on the U.S. charts the week ending April 17, 1976, with a chart run of over five months.[5]
This song rocks. This is the Rolls Royce of songs. I can listen to this song 100 times a day without getting bored. I love it!

the best mix i ever heard.
I heard this song when I was eight years old back in 1976. Over the years I gathered a scene: a full moonlit night in Baltimore very near the coastline. There are (or at least were) rails along this way, and that Pennsylvania Railroad used to ply these rails with their flagship “The Broadway Limited.” I thought it would be a perfect scene two lovers in a Pullman Porter along with fifteen other stainless steels being pulled by a trio of passenger Baldwin Sharks (beautiful locomotives, btw). That would be my fantasy-and the couple would be my girlfriend and I on that beautiful moonlit night.
For many years (since the 90s), this song haunted me because I didn't know the name of it. I rarely heard it on the radio. I googled every which way. I searched youtube and nothing.
Then about 2 summers ago (2014), my sister was in the backyard sun tanning herself when all of a sudden this plays on the oldies radio station CBS 101. I flew to the window and listened with fingers crossed, hoping the DJ would say the name of the song. He did.
Something about this song sends my soul to a good place, like Al Jarreau's "Mornin" does and George Benson's "Greatest Love Of All," and some others. Your rendition is super good Jason. Much Love - Ambriel

Young people today will never know the frustration of going years, even decades of hearing a song you love and cant find the title and artist.A few years ago I was in Walmart with my daughter,a song came on she liked and she held her phone up and within seconds she had the song info and a few seconds later she had it downloaded.

I'm gonna be honest. I was annoyed at first because i thought the wrong song was playing but i kept listening and when "moonlight started to blend in and it was seamless and worth the initial aggravation

Great work on this remix! It really updates the tune without losing it's charm. The bottom end added gives it a thickness that would sound great anywhere. I wish contemporary dance music could be this melodic. Has Bruce Blackman from Starbuck had a chance to hear this yet?
