      Sir, in the column one lap is provided at 600 mm from bottom L/4 (800 mm), then the next lap is provided after 1000 mm. The second lap touches the L/4 line from the top slab. I think that ideal condition will be to keep the top and bottom laps at equal distance from top and bottom 800 mm line. This distance can be achieved by solving an equation as under :
      800+x+1000+x+800
      =3200 where x is the distance from L/4 line. Thus x=300.

    Kisi kisi footing me development length 300 ke bad thoda kinaare pe bhi modte hai vo kitna hota hai jo kinaare pe straight n hokar 45 or 135 degree pe modte hai.vo kitna hota hai confirm plz.

    Sir 1 question hai ki 16 mm ke bar hai na uspe hum lapping ke liye 16 mm ki hi bar use karte hai na aur 12 mm ki bar ke upar 12 mm use karte hai kya ye sahi hai ? Batao pls yahi 1 question hai mere mind me.

    Sir, it is a bit confusing that all the four 16 mm dia bars are lapped at one place and the four 12 mm dia bars are lapped at another place, whereas rule says not >50% of steel area should terminate at one place. Area of four 16 mm dia rods is > 50% of steel area.

      You have misunderstood it..
      It says... Not more than 50% no. of bars should terminate at one place..
      It doesn't say about steel area... It says about no of steel bars..irrespective of its diameter

      i'm agreed. even 4 bars should not be lapped at the exact length even another 4 bars are one meter away in the same column. it create a weak point. he could easily shorten or lengthen them 100mm or 150mm apart from each other as there is more than enough margin he had. but may be its a basic lesson that's by he ignored it so we can easily understand.

    When rabars has length of 12 m generally ,Why lapping at 2300 mm?? I dont think we dont need to lap rebar at that points.Can you explain it ji.

    Practically not possible.... Because when Le=3200, L/4=800 how we can provide 8 lap in between 1600mm although we have to keep at least 1000mm gap between alternate laps.... Practically not possible, if then floor slab height should be 5m which again not feasible.....
