- The last time we visited Tynemouth it was cold and wet so we returned this weekend when the sun was shining. It felt like a completely different place.

We don't want professional, we watch because you are real and just yourselves.keep up the good work
Thank you 🙂
Bugger professional like yous as you are😂
@@bythecurb next time you are upp in the north east try and go to Beamish museum you will love it has aa pub and also two good old type fish shops
@@russelltopping3671and take a big bag of cash because they have your eyes out the sockets for everything there
Helen’s honest chatter is what makes you two so popular…don’t change 😊
Vote for this. I actually dreamt (NO KIDDING!) that Helen and James broke up and Helen started her own channel - what a weird dream
Hahahah Helen - Tango Whisky Alpha Tango (TWAT)
i agree Piccola
Thank goodness some parts of this country still look like England . Those beaches are beautiful.
What do you mean by that?
I think most people will know exactly what he means, apart from you that is!@@naureen4justice991
@naureen4justice991 you know fine what he means. Don't act thick.
@@-trixiespumpkins3846 yeh drunk, pale and no class🤣
Exactly, this country has gone to the dogs,if you saw it 40yrs ago then you will know what I mean!
How the hell have we arrived at a situation where fish & chips twice costs 30 quid? I know we all tend to look through rose tinted specs but I looked up the average cost of fish & chips in 1976. They were 21p. That's £1.93 in today's money. Fish and chips were always the working man's treat. Now you have to be a hedge fund investor to afford them.
I know, its such a shame
Around £8 for F&C plus drink in some parts of Manchester, but I do agree it has increased ridiculously ...
Or have a RUclips ch@@bythecurb
Oh no you have started me off again🤔🤔when I got my first job on 1975 I used to fill up my moped with petrol and it was 35p per gallon and that included a shot of 2 stroke oil, so 70p used to do me for a week of commuting and weekends out on my Puch VZ50, think I was earning £18 per week. think I had better shut up before I get called a tight old git...again
Believe it or not ...we import most of our cod to sell in fish and chips shops. A lot of the fish around UK shores is not fit for human consumption
I'm on my own so I have to do things by myself. It's still interesting and fun but not half as much fun as when you're sharing it with someone. I enjoy watching you enjoy yourselves. I don't feel envious at all, it actually gives me something to aspire to.
Me too but don't let that stop you getting out and about. People are mostly very kind to us singletons!
Any madness Helen creates is pure gold. Love the use of the phonetic alphabet too.
Love watching you guys and your dynamics! And also, I love that you tell us the prices of things, it's useful for those of us watching that are planning trips away. So thank you both for great content 😊
Our pleasure!
😂😂 That poo comment by Helen and you moaning about being professional, so funny😂😂 Helen, keep it up!!!
Cracking vlog. Beaches are smashing from Bamburgh all the way down to Roker, we're blessed. Prices are ridiculous nowadays though.
It's a beautiful part of the world :-)
We have two years of Lockdowns to thank for Ridiculous Prices. Businesses are probably still trying to recover, those that didn't go bankrupt anyway.
Lots of lives and businesses destroyed, and WE consumers always end up paying for it.
Bamburgh beach voted best beach in Britain ,Love Northumberland .
We loved it there too :-)
Another brilliant episode of The Nutters !
Thanks both, soooo entertaining. !
We have beautiful beaches in the North East thanks for showcasing them so well.
Just found your channel and have watched about 20 videos 😂 - don’t change man! The realness is so refreshing after all the jump cut vloggers. This is perfect as it is. It’s comforting mate. Thanks for all the hard work you put in mate.
I appreciate that!
@@bythecurb all day bruv. Just watched your Germany videos. So good. Keep crushing it - you are doing good work 🫡
Tynemouth looks like lovely place. You’re right, the weather can make a massive difference. Good to see you both again, keep em
coming. Love to you both 💕💕💕💕
Thank you, we loved it 😊
Just repeating what many others have said but you two are brilliant, Its like going on a great day/night out watching your videos. And it shows that there is hope and it is possible to find happiness! lol
Thank you :-)
Lovely video, thoroughly enjoyed this trip and to watch you two together is so warming, you compliment each other 😊
Thanks so much! 😊
Northumberland ❤you can’t beat it. Beautiful coastline and such nice people❤
James , look you are who you both are, Helen puts her touch of light hearted touch to it whether had a drink or not. As a long term subscriber James just give in, but you both never dare change.
We love it and so does everybody, you are who you are don't think of change.
We won't, we just love the banter really
You missed seaton sluice little bit up from Whitley bay that's a beautiful beach xx❤
That’s Riley’s fish shack on the beach, they cook with what has been caught locally and you will need to book if the weather even looks slightly sunny as very popular.
Tynemouth does look lovely. Has to go on the list. Helen is SO funny without even trying
You guys are a blast. Love this channel.been watching for 2 weeks from sunny east Anglia..🏊🏻♂️🏄🏽♀️🧘🏼♀️
Thank you :-)
Tynemouth is a great place to visit. That bar on the beach is not a bar its a fish restaurant called Rileys fish shack and the food is amazing. I highly recommend you try it 😀😀👍👍
Just subscribed to your channel. Love the videos and the banter between yourself and Helen.. Keep up the good work, and come up to Scotland!!
Thank you for subbing 😊
Dont panic. Im married to a Filipina and Cokelles and Savaloy are the least of my problems.
We had the joys of Salmon heads sinigang this weekend.
And dont mention the dried fish.
When you watch your love of your life suck the eye out of a fish head ....
Dont complain as im truly dourer then thee.
Does look a lovely beach, but having spent last week in Filey I must agree with Helen. An absolute gem of a beach that as a Whitby lover I've largely neglected all my life.
PS....can we have more of Helen singing.....
Absolutely! :-)
@@bythecurb This is the way!
Helen is awesome! You guys just keep doing what you're doing.
James , just binge watched your vids ,you and Helen are a breath of fresh air😁
Thank you!
You both did the North east proud, great video. Well done both of you. Pleased the weather was better this time.

Went to school in Tynemouth in the 70s . Smashing place.
Went to Tynemouth years ago on a weekend in Newcastle and thought it was a surprisingly lovely place which we didn’t expect
We love Helen. Full of fun and laughter
First beach was cullercoats. The long doggy beach is Tynemouth long sands. ❤

(Toilet talk) " But don't worry about me"!!!😂😂😂
Great fun again guys, cheers! 💜
The wife and I have our new van.
Now our stories begin.
Fantastic, hope you have a great time
Great video, I was having a bad day and has cheered me up😊. Keep up the great audio-visual entertainment. Love Helens singing 😅
Thank you, I'm going to get her on the karaoke 😂
There is a great market on Tynemouth station on a Saturday and Sunday. The North East often goes under the radar, but some great places to enjoy, if you look hard enough.
Beautiful singing
Don't change you guys. It's a lot more fun when you're being yourselves. Us Yorkshire folk love the banter and talking about n° 2s is fine by me..... Looking forward to the next episode. Btw I'm back in Harrogate on the 7th , if you fancy a pint the beers are on me 😀
Thank you 😊
Your videos are fantastic! Thank you!
You're very welcome!
😂😂💩 Helen you are absolutely hilarious, ive not had a poo today 😂😂😂.
Great upload and those beaches looked lovely, ive never heard of Tynemouth but it looks fabulous, cant wait to see where your adventures will take you next 👍.
You leave Helen alone her witty banter makes your channel more authentic …… more Helen please!
I hope someone sponsors you a new bigger van your amazing James you deserve this great footage then Helen can sleep and wash instead of going with crocs in Tesco lol
Haha thank you 😊
I've skinny dipped in Collercoats Bay at 4.30 in the morning it was freezing and really sink my manhood, took 3 hours to get warm. Brrrrr. But I love this coastline all the way up to Berwick-upon-Tweed!
You two are ace!! A ray of sunlight always!🌞.x
Thank you!
It was great because we can hear the chit-chat and theres no need to shout . And we watch you because your you . Please dont change Helen love the way you are.
Thank you, we'll never change :-)
We have recently found you and Helen, really love your videos. We now shout at the TV " how much" ??? whenever you buy a drink and I have now adopted the word Sithee when I say goodbye 🤣🤣Helen, your drinking power is incredible . At the age of 59 I tried my first drink of Guinness yesterday, errr nope, not for me but at least I gave it a go. We got excited when you mentioned Norfolk (we live here) as one of the places you would like to travel too. It is a beautiful county and you will love it. Looking forward to seeing more of your adventures and thank you for all the laughs.
Thanks, I must admit Im not a huge Guinness fan myself, I think there are much better stouts available :-)
I can now see you guys traveking the world in time ::))
love your banter,gorgeous views too
That's why I watch! Cuz you're funny, real people 😅😅😅I always smile and laugh
Thank you :-)
You’re an absolute gentleman. I love the fact that you’re not someone into PDA. I love how you hate talking about the toilet talk. True gentleman (very rare to see). I’m so addicted to watching you both. My new favorite couple ❤️
My husband wanted to know if you are a Sagittarius. He is and his ways are very similar to yours.
Thank you, yes I am a Sagittarius :-)
Entertaining as usual thank you Great beaches 😊
Awesome guy's looks a cracking place worth a visit 👍🏻
i think the banter between you both and the real honesty makes your channel a cut above :) i have to say that curry sauce looked rank though
Love watching you both . Newcastle is amazing usually x
Hey up Mr Grumpy and chilled Helen. Another good video. X
Glad you enjoyed it
Sending all the love from Newcastle love you videos keep up the fantastic show , howay the Geordies
Thank you
Looks like you had a lovely day!
You’re right no other RUclipsrs talk like this….. that’s why we live your channel. I’ve got a reet cheese grin as a result. Keep it up.
Next time just go a little bit more north to Seaton sluice chippy there is amazing the fish are huge 10/10 its a lovely little tidal harbour .
Tango, whisky, alpha, tango!😂 Helen! Xx
Ahh my home town, not lived there for over 26 years and I still miss it although I do go back once a year. Marshalls used to be good a long time ago but you should have gone to Longsands Fish Kitchen, you walked past it. Thanks for the memories. By the way I need some Cheese jokes, it's been such a long time and I am having withdrawal symptoms.
We will have to get working on them :-)
Arh loved this, looks great, been here before a long time ago, seems like there's a few new places popped up, like the place on the beach, feel a little road trip coming up here too, love the street with all the pubs! Also we don't want professional, we love the shenanigans 😂
It's worth a trip but I'd definitely wait for a sunny day 😊
So, so enliightening with hilarious punctuation - you were just made for each other! Plus you do an old git like me good too - never laughed for ages like I do with you two. 😄
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hi guys sooo funny the new microphones and Helen playing up. Love the way you two kiss so sweet and not false and over the top like some channels. Don’t change ur both great fun. Peace 🧚🏻♀️
Thank you :-)
Helen has a nice singing voice - good tonality.
James be unique, not like every other you tube channel. Your fans have fallen for you channel because you are different. Embrace it. Trust me we love different.
Really valuable insights to areas I have never been to (and will probably never go)
You're welcome 😂
😂😂😂 love Helen, please never change, you guys are the real deal!! Xx
Thank you
Another top top video guys!!! The Chippy price … Wow!! But Helen has made me want some seaside cockles again!!! Genuinely thoroughly enjoyed the video as always!! … Smithy
Thanks Smithy
😂😂😂 classic u 2, keep um coming just as they are that’s y we all love yr chanel. Maxx
Thanks Maxx
But this is what we love about Helen shes so natural no hairs and graces i love that in her, and lets be honest we all poo hahah great vlog
Very enjoyable folks 😊😎👍
I went to school in Tynemouth in the early 70s and we used to queue up for beef burger & chips at that chip shop. I think the prices have increased slightly since then
Regards from Whitley Bay
great video guys all the best Phil👍
Thanks Phil
Great vlog thank you.
Im so glad you came back up to my neck of the woods and gave Tynemouth another go.
Yes, it is expensive and that chippy I think has always been overrated. (there are much better ones)
Helen was right there are seals, Tynemouth has a seal hospital it has saved the lives of hundreds of seals since it was opened 6 years ago.
That bar/restaurant on King Edward’s Bay, is the fish shack, I haven’t been but its very popular .
Im also glad the sun came out at last!
Thanks for the info, we had a lovely time and it's one of our favourite places :-)
Glad you went to Tynemouth but would have loved to see you both having a mooch round the market?!..its a fantastic place and atmosphere!..the food stalls are great!..as other people have mentioned you could have spent the whole day walking down to North Shields fish quays and getting the Tyne ferry over to South Shields!..thoroughly enjoyed the video anyway and i hope Helen has finally managed to 'Go' ?!😲
Thanks, she's been!! 😂
Thank God for that!🥸..I've never slept!😀
Many family holidays in Teignmouth. Great place. But yes it rains and the seafront in a gale is pretty terrifying.
Great quality video regards Howard from Cyprus 🎉
Thanks Howard
helen has a lovely singing voice
looks a lovely place.thanks for the vid.
Glad you enjoyed it
I spent many a summer down at Tynemouth, Cullercoats, Whitley Bay etc. I was so lucky growing up in Gateshead, with our beautiful coast only a 30 minute metro ride away.
I live in Kent now, which also has a lot going for it, and some really pretty villages, and nice beaches around Broadstairs. But as the saying goes, theres no place like home!
Restaurant prices for a fish and chip supper is just ridiculous though. I would expect it to be served on a plate at a table with a table cloth for the price you paid.
I went to Warkworth Castle a few weeks back, and had a lovely lunch at the Masons Arms in Warkworth village. Hot food, served on a plate, generous portions, and it was reasonable at around £10 - £11 per person. Really nice food as well.
Drinks were about £4 a pint, so not too pricey.
The castle is quite expensive if you dont pre book though, cost us £13.50 each, just to walk around. But there was theatrical re-enactment events going on during the afternoon, which the kids really seemed to enjoy. "Medieval Mischief" they called it. So it was a really enjoyable day to be fair.
Bamburgh is just a few mile up the coast from there too, and Lindisfarne (Holy Island) is just across the causeway. But check tide times if you want to visit, as the causeway is submerged at high tide.
We went to Bamburgh castle earlier in the year and loved it. We will definitely check Warkworth castle out too 😊
@@bythecurb Beamish near Chester-Le-Street in Durham is another great place to visit, if you've never been before.
Google their website for more info on prices, attractions etc.
We have friends that live in Sunderland and we used to visit quite often when my youngest used to swim in competitions so we would stay with them and we once went to South Shields for a day out and I was also blown away at how wonderful the beach and how clean the sea was ! We love Northumberland and that coast just as much as we do the beaches at Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay, and Cayton Bay are also on my favs to visit. We have do Labradors and they love that they can go on most beaches and tbh everyone carries Poo bags these days so no excuse for leaving any mess.
Im going to make a Robin Hoods Bay video soon :-)
@@bythecurb we camp at middlewood farm, you walk down the farmers field to the fish and chip shop which used to be good, not eaten there this year but had a nice drink in the pub overlooking the Bay and their food and beers were excellent 😉
That looked great. I’m off up to Newcastle at the weekend so might have to try Tynemouth for a change. The beaches in the north east are absolutely glorious.
Helen can talk about poos all she wants. It makes me laugh. Whenever someone isn’t available or have disappeared for a time I say they must have gone for a poo. I’m such a child 😳😂
😂😂 Have a great time
Good review, nice banter between the two of you's. HOW MUCH🤣
You need to come to South Shields 😊😊 - visit Sandhaven and Littlehaven beaches , South and North Marine Parks, the funfair ,Ocean road where all the takeaways are. Amazing pubs by the seafront. Marsden Grotto
My old stomping ground…. Used to do a bit of under age drinking there back in the early eighties, I suspect the prices have changed a bit! Love the vlogs, keep up the good work.
Thank you
love the vlogs
always look forward to seeing where you are going next
have you ever been to Tamworth in the midlands?
its a lovely little town with lots of history 👍
i ment staffordshire before anyone jumps on me 😂
I went with work a few years ago but that's about it
Great channel.. you 2 are great and make me laugh. Keep up the travels and your both down to earth people. Regards Troopers

There's a large seal colony on St Mary's Island , you could see the lighthouse on St Mary's Island from Tynemouth Pier 😅
6.55 am Tyne mouth/Whitley bay happy days great holidays first pint amber ale alas no bus station Spanish city still there
Yep, I've heard they have done it all up!
What a beautiful beach, reminded me of some in Spain. Is darts still played in pubs in the UK? Have you and Helen played? Looking forward to your next destination. Hope your weather stays nice for awhile. Hard to get those not too hot and not too cold days. We've had 100 degrees heat the last few days.🥵
I love the sunshine but not too hot though. Darts is still played in the UK but not in many places. We had a game a few weeks back.
Love watching you two brilliant
Guys just brilliant ..don’t ever change the way you vlog..it is quality and very real life ..👌🏻👌🏻
