  • Join Andy as he takes you for a walk around the Las Americas area of The Golden Mile strip. Take a look at what’s on offer and who is out and about enjoying everything that this area has to offer at the festive period.
My apologies about the image quality. This is due to the time of day and the abundance of festive lights and those permanently on view. I hope this gives you however, a small glimpse of the current situation in this particular area.
    The Golden Mile Tenerife
Stretching alongside the coastline and linking Los Cristianos with Playa de las Américas, The Golden Mile has evolved into a magnet for tourists. This iconic road is lined with upscale hotels, sophisticated dining venues, chic boutiques, and a pulsating nightlife.
Emerging in the 1990s to cater to the burgeoning tourist demand, The Golden Mile has since metamorphosed into a prime destination for those visiting Tenerife, offering an array of premium facilities and experiences. A standout feature of The Golden Mile is its ensemble of opulent hotels. Esteemed accommodations like the Sir Anthony Hotel, Cleopatra Palace Hotel, and Mediterranean Palace Hotel grace this area. Guests are treated to amenities such as lavish swimming pools, rejuvenating spas, exclusive beach access, as well as gourmet dining options and elegant bars. Beyond its hotel offerings, The Golden Mile is celebrated for its gastronomic delights and high-end boutiques. Food enthusiasts can savor world-class dishes at establishments like M.B. By Martín Berasategui, which boasts two Michelin stars. For those with a penchant for luxury shopping, brands like Gucci, Prada, and Louis Vuitton await. Night owls will find The Golden Mile equally enticing. It’s home to some of Tenerife’s premier clubs and bars, including the likes of Papagayo Beach Club and Faro Chill Art. These venues exude an atmosphere that draws in a refined crowd eager for a memorable evening.
Tenerife is the largest of Spain’s Canary Islands, off West Africa. It's dominated by Mt. Teide, a dormant volcano that is Spain's tallest peak. Tenerife may be best known for its Carnaval de Santa Cruz, a huge pre-Lent festival with parades, music, dancing and colorful costumes. The island has many beaches (with sands from yellow to black) and resort areas, including Los Cristianos and Playa de las Américas.
Playa de las Américas is an upscale resort on the southwest coast of Tenerife, the largest of Spain’s Canary Islands. It’s known for its natural and man-made beaches, lively surf and vibrant nightlife. Avenida las Américas is lined with shops and restaurants. Arona Pyramid auditorium stages flamenco shows. To the north, vast Siam Park water park has slides and artificial waves. Whales and dolphins swim offshore.
