@@user-wv5gv3dw5u I mean, yes, but they've actually done an incredible job of negotiating deals to allow a ton of copyrighted content to be used in ways that wouldn't normally be permitted. It's copyright law that is broken. I highly recommend Tom Scott's video on the subject (just search "Tom Scott copyright").

It's those giant heels they're all wearing. Nobody can wiggle around while talking and not kinda lose their balance in those. And the boys, it's obviously because they keep trying to look cool by crossing their legs while standing straight instead of finding something to lean on.
Dan's extensive knowledge of music never ceases to amaze me. You could literally say anything to him and he'd find a reference somewhere.
If they keep talking over the narration how are they ever going to understand the deep lore of the Bratz universe?

and due to slightly-scummy but also totally-understandable regulations, that meant mattel owned the work he did on company time on that doll line.. so they were able to shut bratz down

Idk, I feel like making them look so nightmarish and unrealistic helps with not enforcing body standards. Obviously not a child psychologist, but I feel like most kids wouldn't even think of them as being like themselves. By the same token, they could have made short ones and tall ones and fairies but they made them all skinny teenage girls so...
@@skeetsmcgrew3282 i will say as a kid, I thought of barbie (or batman the animated series for that matter) art style as 'realistic' the same as I would more actually-realistic styles like those of comic books, or animated series based more strongly on them without that much stylization.

@@skeetsmcgrew3282 Oh no, I can tell you 100% that as a kid Bratz definitely made me question beauty standards. While I understood at the time their look is heavily stylized, their face and bodies still set a expectation of what types of features were considered more appealing. This is why growing up I was actually not drawn to playing with Bratz, plus their style made me confused if they were toys more oriented for kids my age or teens

As someone who played all of the bratz franchise up until I wanna say... 10th grade?... I enjoyed them for what they were and mostly played it for the fashion because to me at that time... I considered it chic... not stripper wear.

This episode legit unlocked some long lost memories with me and my two older sisters. We played the absolute crap out of BRATZ: Rock Angelz and had an absolute blast! God the nostalgia is almost overwhelming!! The Game Grumps never disappoint in delivering a deep emotion for me.
Rock Angelz was a fucking treasure. I'd love for them to hit the Bratz games rabbit hole just in general, but if they played Rock Angelz, I'd be able to die happy.

Man, this takes me back. We rented the game from Rogers, which used to be a thing apparently, and I have no memories of it besides the elctric guitar. My sister bought it for me a few years ago as a joke, and I tried playing it again. I used to play Bratz Rock Angelz and Bratz Diamondz all the time and while they look like shit, I am very fond of them. This game in comparison is an uncanny nightmare that somehow looks even worse than the first two and somehow also has less features. Glad other people are playing it.
Edit: HOLY SHIT I just realized this isn't even the game I rented as a kid. This is the one after that has the fucking nightmare skydiving. I tried playing this one too, and it was literally unplayable for me. Oh no.

Wait...so instead of muting every instance, they instead cut some parts out and tell us to watch on patreon. That is so scummy. I know it's not many parts but this sets an obnoxious precedent. I saw some comments saying it's just copyright issues, but no one is seeing the bigger picture. This is just a clear way of them trying to squeeze a few dollars from suckers who would pay for a few more minutes. If they need more money, which by the current Thumbnails and Titles they clearly do need or want it, why not just... oh I don't know, push out stuff in the store worth our money. I can understand if they are just trying to make more money to pay for other things for the channel, but cutting content and telling people to pay for the episode for a full experience is just disrespectful to me as a long time fan. They could just mute the audio instead, which is made apparent seeing how they did it for one of the music segments, clearly they know what they can do to make it entertaining, but they'ed rather nickel and dime us for a few more minutes of their content.
