  • 29th June 2024 marked the 400th anniversary of the signing of the 1624 Pembroke charter by King James I. We celebrated at Pembroke with a Festival showcasing 400 years of research, impact and community, featuring talks and panel discussions with alumni, academics and students, covering topics from AI, medicine and conservation to translation and human rights.
In this session Professor Kevin Talbot, Head of the Nuffield Department of Neuroscience and Professorial Fellow, discusses understanding and finding cures for Motor Neurone Disease, while Professor Hannah Smithson, Fellow in Experimental Psychology, explores the perceptual processes that underlie patterns of human performance on visual tasks.
