This place is the best for classic inboard boat parts and repair that are harder and harder to find online. I gave them a call and they helped me out with my stuffing box packing question. Vince in crew, thank you!
Brilliant! I'm an old hand at wrenching and this is one of those super valuable tips from experience you see now and again. Thanks for sharing ,will use this very evening.
Vince talked me through this on the phone. Much appreciated video. Thanks for all the help on RUclips and on the phone. Great company to purchase from!
I was literally running this through my head today! I’ve done it once about 10 years ago when I bought my ole 29 YO MC. Strut was bent and all. Used this technique, pulled shaft out, and I was able to straighten the strut. Back together and a lil motor alignment. The ole ‘92 still running strong. Vince, that would be a great video next. Checking motor alignment. Bring on the sunshine!!
Hello Vince, I have a pcm 1.23:1 transmission on my 89’ supra sunsport. Could you make a detailed video on how to change the trans oil (how many quarts, type of oil, what to expect, proper fill level with the dipstick, flushing, etc) Thank you. These videos are very helpful!
Hi Vince- I have an 81 Bayliner 3270, twin 5.7’s and old Volvo Penta MS3 transmissions… I have to replace the stbd transmission with a rebuilt unit. Can this be done with the boat in the water? Can the prop shaft be pushed back without causing any leaking? Any input would be very much appreciated. I’ve watched a few of your videos and have learned a bunch so far… thank you
Yes inboard coupler access and removal is a walk in the park compared to a 08 Malibu v-drive shaft coupler. Be great if you can do a video on one of those.
a lot of people enjoy a ski boat just for the way it handles and the way it sounds. The only thing to be aware of is there not great in very rough water. however a calmish lake it would handle great.

The drive shaft should still be up against the shaft seal so we would say you are probably able to do it.

hello guy, I am from Vietnam, I want to buy this gearbox for my engine
Brilliant
I did this and stripped the threads on the nut Hopefully not the shaft cause it's still stuck on it
Need to get shaft out of reversed clutch
when has any coupler actually came off like that? i thought i was gonna lean something :)
Is it nuts to want a ski boat if you 're not skiing and only want to fish or just have a boat ?

Great way to ruin the flange on your transmission if the coupling is stuck - like most are. It's not worth the risk use a puller.
