I have seen a bunch of information on RUclips around engine alignment, yours being one of the best, but I’m unable to find any detailed information on what steps or process you undertake to rule out a potential Strut issue.

How does this type of seal compare to ones using a carbon stator?
Can this be done inside the water ?
